Vox Populi, our live chat about the week’s events begins at 7:00pm PST. Hope to see you then! AdLib 2 hours ago
Hey TW! AdLib an hour ago
Ad how are you tonight. twilson117 an hour ago
Doing fine. How about you? AdLib an hour ago
So we’re going to get another special prosecutor for Trump. twilson117 an hour ago
I’m doing okay for an old guy. twilson117 an hour ago
Because of the speed of it, I think they were prepared for Trump announcing so it gives me a bit of confidence that it won’t detract from the investigation and indictments or delay them. AdLib an hour ago
Heh! Aren’t we all old guys? AdLib an hour ago
Yes we are. twilson117 an hour ago
As to the speed I suppose that makes sense. twilson117 an hour ago
Old guys rule! But with less cooperative joints than they used to. AdLib an hour ago
That’s my take, you don’t bring on a guy like this as quickly unless he was prepped for it well ahead of time. AdLib an hour ago
By the way still working on the second Walker article, can’t seem to get it to flow right. Too much to talk about with this guy so trying to get it to work the way I need it to. twilson117 an hour ago
Hey PPO! AdLib an hour ago
PPO is in the House. twilson117 an hour ago
Hi all pinkpantheroz an hour ago
TW – It will come together like previous articles of yours, I know it. AdLib an hour ago
How you doing PPO? twilson117 an hour ago
Hi, ad, TW. No sailing this weekend pinkpantheroz an hour ago
How are you doing PPO? AdLib an hour ago
Why no sailing? AdLib an hour ago
PPO you trying to be Ishmel in Moby Dick? twilson117 an hour ago
Rough month in October with various anniversaries and b’days. Bur got through iy OK. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
My Dad played the ships carpenter in ‘Moby Dick”! pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Well you certainly have some history with it. twilson117 an hour ago
glenn! Hello!!! AdLib an hour ago
Glenn is in the house twilson117 an hour ago
PPO – Good to hear you made it through this tough period. AdLib an hour ago
where did she go? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Hope she’ll be back! AdLib an hour ago
She was here then she disappeared. twilson117 an hour ago
Maybe it’s a connection problem? twilson117 an hour ago
Shame about the House win by GOP. How did they manage that? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
So, looks like Musk is proving he’s like Trump, a failure who used Daddy’s money to buy things and hype himself as a business genius when he was really a narcisisstic failure who took credit for the work and smarts of others. AdLib an hour ago
PPO saw one analysis that lays the blame on not picking up seats in NYS twilson117 an hour ago
Glenn is back everyone twilson117 an hour ago
Hey glenn! pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Yes, looks like a connection issue. glenn, try deleting your browser cookies if you keep having issues with Vox. AdLib an hour ago
Will Twitter survive? I sure hope so. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
PPO I think it will in spite of Musk. Was just talking with a friend about that before jumping on here. twilson117 an hour ago
TW – I saw the same thing, it turned out that the corrupt SCOTUS protected unconstitutional gerrymandering by Repubs and courts undid the political gerrymandering by Dems in NY who were too greedy and stupid to just take some districts instead of nearly all. AdLib an hour ago
Ad Good evening everyone so good to see you PPONH Wilson and add of course glad you made it through OctoberpPO November is my rough month but I make it through and you will make it through to you because you are strong glenn an hour ago
Yes, Musk has bitten off more than he can chew, and suspends anyone who calls him out on it. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Ad Yes saw the same thing. But, if the dems play their cards right this could be to their advantage. twilson117 an hour ago
PPO – I don’t think Twitter will survive, not as it is. They’re down to just several employees left and many key ones needed to keep the site running smoothly are gone. Musk is desperate after threatening the whole workforce to commit to being overworked and harassed or quit. AdLib an hour ago
And the only reason Republicans won as many seats as they did was due to Jerry Met gerrymandering glenn an hour ago
Hope not, Ad. What could we use instead? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
CL! pinkpantheroz an hour ago
evening all – GLENN and PPO!!! This is very fine! choicelady an hour ago
PPO – Musk is just as much an idiot narcissist as Trump, he just hadn’t been tested before like Trump. AdLib an hour ago
CL is in the house!!! twilson117 an hour ago
Sorry about the mistakes post folks I’m using my voice app and sometimes it doesn’t get things right glenn an hour ago
Hey CL! AdLib an hour ago
Hi TW and Ad – great to see everyone. choicelady an hour ago
how’s your health, glenn? pinkpantheroz an hour ago
TW – I believe it’s AL and LA that had unconstiutional gerrymandering, the corrupt SCOTUS kept the illegal maps in place saying it was too close to the election to make them legal. What criminals these SCOTUS crooks are. AdLib an hour ago
Hey CL how are you! glenn an hour ago
I’m reasonably OK, glenn. How are YOU? choicelady an hour ago
glenn – It’s very easy to see what you’re saying, just ignore the mistypes that the voice to text creates, not a problem. AdLib an hour ago
Ad I believe there was some gerrymandering in NYS as well that screwed things up for them. twilson117 an hour ago
My health is about the same PPO I am still going to dialysis three days a week but other than that I feel fine glenn an hour ago
Please stay as well as you can, glenn. pinkpantheroz an hour ago
glenn – that is good to read. Dialysis is not fun, for sure, but it is keeping you alive. Always good! choicelady an hour ago
TW – Yes, mentioned above that NY Dems got so hugely greedy in their gerrymandering that courts turned around and essentially punished them by creating more Repub friendly districts. NY Dem establishment is corrupt, they put Cuomo in power, think about it. AdLib an hour ago
TW – redistricting in NY^ was by judges, in CA by a citizens’ commission, and BOTH had problems. Not sure why. choicelady an hour ago
Ad yes that they did. twilson117 an hour ago
CL – What problems did we have here in CA with redistricting. The results seemed pretty good for the most part. AdLib an hour ago
CL I like that reasonably OK. That’s for sure seal dialysis is keeping me alive glenn an hour ago
Shame NY screwed it up for the rest of the country pinkpantheroz an hour ago
Ad – we lost 5 seats I read. Might be fewer, but districts that were reliably Dem aren’t. choicelady an hour ago
Sorry I’ve been here for such a short time but I just can’t keep my eyes open any longer enjoy seeing all of you again good night glenn an hour ago
You realize, usually every year, some members of The House retire, die, get convicted, get another job, etc. so even within the next 2 years, there could be enough turnover for Dems to retake The House. AdLib 44 minutes ago
take care, glenn pinkpantheroz 44 minutes ago
glenn – good night. Lovely to see you no matter what. Take care! Happy Thanksgiving. choicelady 44 minutes ago
Glad to see you in any case, glenn. Get some rest! AdLib 44 minutes ago
Glenn take care. twilson117 44 minutes ago
Happy Thanksgiving to you all also thank you good night glenn 43 minutes ago
Ad we pin hopes on 2024. choicelady 43 minutes ago
At least McConnell is no longer in charge pinkpantheroz 43 minutes ago
Glenn you as well. twilson117 43 minutes ago
I may not last long – my vision just stinks. I FINALLY have an appointment at the “Low Vision Clinic” which is GREAT. Or would be if it weren’t part of the “Society for the Blind”. Gleep. choicelady 42 minutes ago
PPO yes the turtle is in the bleachers for another 2 years. twilson117 42 minutes ago
Good news cl. they can do marvellous things these days. pinkpantheroz 41 minutes ago
I lost track – is he still Senate Minority leader? choicelady 41 minutes ago
CL yes he is and will be for another 2 years twilson117 41 minutes ago
PPO – That is what I hope. It may just mean new lens prescriptions, but if it’s something more, they will find it. choicelady 41 minutes ago
yes, but with more Dem Senators, less powerful pinkpantheroz 41 minutes ago
Also, I read a pretty in-depth article about how Sean Patrick Maloney may have single-handedly screwed many House Dems in NY and handed the House to the Repubs. He was stole a district from a Dem, Mondaire I believe then never campaigned, was in Europe during the last part of the campaign and then grabbed tons of money away from other Dems to pour into his campaign once he saw he had fallen way behind. AdLib 40 minutes ago
CL the question is will Warnock win in the runoff and give Biden 51 twilson117 40 minutes ago
The more Mitch is reduced in power, the happier I am. choicelady 40 minutes ago
TW – I really do wnat Warnock both for the edge and for the morality and decency of the man. choicelady 40 minutes ago
Surely Warnock will win. God help us if that other fool gets in. pinkpantheroz 39 minutes ago
CL – This is making me angry, you had these procedures to help your vision and it shouldn’t still be such a problem. Have you considered going to other doctors elsewhere who may be better skilled? AdLib 39 minutes ago
PPO – AMEN. The idea of larger numbers of buffoons in Congress is appalling. choicelady 39 minutes ago
CL well the way Walker is doing Warnock will hopefully take it. twilson117 39 minutes ago
Ad – the procedures aren’t the issue. They did their job and are doing their job. There is something else going on that the Clinic will ascertain. It’s not a 20 minute visit but two HOURS or more to figure out why my vision is constantly changing. That lies outside all my docs’ expertise. choicelady 37 minutes ago
I think Warnock will win in the end. Many Repub voters in GA held their nose to vote for Walker to give Repubs control of the Senate. Now? What’s the point of jumping in the sewer to vote for Walker, what’s to be gained for such a moral shaming of oneself? AdLib 37 minutes ago
Ad – hope you’re right. choicelady 36 minutes ago
DeSantis has lost the 11th circuit with his dumb ass WOKE law as plays out in the State Colleges. twilson117 36 minutes ago
I should say the 11th circuit stayed it. twilson117 36 minutes ago
cl, Fergie had trouble getting the right script for her left eye. It was randomly amblyotic. Maybe you have the same. pinkpantheroz 35 minutes ago
CL – You know, I just want the best for you and with ll the medical dealings I’ve had along the way with my family, one of the most important things I’ve found is that it’s important to go elsewhere for care when you feeling you’re not receiving the care that heals you. If your docs are good and this is something else, okay but that is also what ineffective docs we’ve dealt with along the way do. They say they don’t know. When you find a doc who does know and has a solid rep, it usually works out better. AdLib 34 minutes ago
TW – On that point, DeSantis is not going to be the savior that repubs think he will be. He is a hateful and repulsive person that FL Repubs cherish for those reasons but he doesn’t have the Trump cult leader charisma. I think DeSantis would be beaten worse than Trump by Biden, that’s what polls said earlier in the year. AdLib 32 minutes ago
Thanks, Ad – this IS the “elsewhere” to get a set of opinions the specialists don’t yet understand. I’m VERY happy to be doing this. Whatever they say will get acted on by the UC Davis Eye Center. We just have to figure out what “it” is. choicelady 32 minutes ago
Anybody doing anything special for Thanksgiving? pinkpantheroz 31 minutes ago
CL – That’s very good to hear. We need you 100%! AdLib 31 minutes ago
We need you for sure. July again! pinkpantheroz 31 minutes ago
Ad, you have some solid points there. It seems the same folks who thought Trump was their savior are now looking to DeSantis. twilson117 30 minutes ago
PPo – Yes!@ Greg and I are leaving ON Thanksgiving for Ashland OR and the Shakespeare festival’s second round of a Christmas comedy. We will be FINE going up – not so clear about coming back. Snow possible Sunday. Could gum up the mountain pass. But we will prevail, one way or another. Looking forward to it. choicelady 29 minutes ago
PPO – My daughter goes to school on the East Coast, this is our first Thanksgiving without her, she’s going to visit with a schoolmate in NY this year. It will be different but I’m pleased she’s traveling and having adventures on her own. AdLib 29 minutes ago
PPO just a simple dinner with wife and daughter. twilson117 29 minutes ago
I will be in touch with Boston, Pittsburgh and Buffalo to wish them well. pinkpantheroz 28 minutes ago
TW – Add to all the other points that if DeSantis runs in 2024 as seems likely, Trump will declare him a MAGA enemy and the split in the GOP will be delicious. No doubt, if that happens, a big chunk of Repubs won’t vote for either one or the other in a GE and some won’t vote at all, giving Dems an extra advantage. AdLib 27 minutes ago
YES! I want to be ready for SF in July with you, PPO and Ad and anyone else who wants to fly in and join in the revels! choicelady 26 minutes ago
CL – Sounds like such a wonderful trip! Stay safe and I’m sure you’ve got a Plan B if the pass is snowed up. AdLib 26 minutes ago
Ad I don’t like seeing children but in the case of Trump and DeSantis I’m going to buy a lot of popcorn and watch with wild glee. twilson117 26 minutes ago
CL – Let’s see if we can twist arms in a friendly way to get more of our friends here to meet in SFO next July. We’ve had such wonderful times. AdLib 25 minutes ago
Ad meant to say children fight, but I think you get my meaning. twilson117 25 minutes ago
Ad – we may have to go north to go south – up by Roseville (or some such) for a low cut over to 101. Obviously that extends the time driving back, but oh, well. I hear Eureka is lovely this time of year… choicelady 24 minutes ago
We have indeed, Ad – COME VISIT y’all!!! choicelady 24 minutes ago
Enjoy it all, everybody. And it would be grand if more join us at Perry’s next year. pinkpantheroz 24 minutes ago
TW – I absolutely want Trump and DeSantis running against each other and tearing each other down to the ground along with the GOP. Let them revel in holding The House to whine about Hunter Biden, in 2024, I would love to see the GOP destroyed past the point of being viable until it becomes halfway decent again. AdLib 23 minutes ago
Well, I need to cover up the garden stuff. High winds expected today. See you all soon. pinkpantheroz 22 minutes ago
Take care PPO twilson117 22 minutes ago
G’night, PPO. Batten the hatches and stay safe. Hugs@ choicelady 22 minutes ago
CL – RIght, that is quite a detour but the 101 should be okay. I may find myself in OR before the end of the year. AdLib 22 minutes ago
Wonder where Murph is? AdLib 22 minutes ago
Bye PPO!!! AdLib 22 minutes ago
If you’re headed to OR, I would SO advise flying to Portland and driving where you need to go from there. MUCH more reliable than the Siskiyou Pass. choicelady 21 minutes ago
Hope he is okay twilson117 21 minutes ago
So, should Dems just no-show for Repub’s House Witch Hunts like they refused to appear for Dems’ 1/6 hearings? I kind of think so. AdLib 20 minutes ago
Ad they probably should but they are far too decent to do that. twilson117 20 minutes ago
OK – I seriously can’t see very well, so I shall wish you all a GREAT Thanksgiving and long, lovely weekend. I won’t be here, but I will tell you ALL about it the following week.. Huge to you both and to Murph if he gets here. We shall lean on you both to join Ad and me with PPO next July. choicelady 20 minutes ago
Happy Thanksgiving!!! choicelady 20 minutes ago
CL take care twilson117 19 minutes ago
CL – Thanks for the advice. I think I will stay in Portland and invite my family member to meet me there instead, AdLib 19 minutes ago
Well Ad it’s just me and you. So, who’s going to dial first? twilson117 19 minutes ago
I sure hope CL gets all healed up after this new session. AdLib 19 minutes ago
I can call…my turn! AdLib 18 minutes ago
You got it twilson117 18 minutes ago
