Last night, America lost one of it’s most accomplished and principled Supreme Court Justices who was a champion of women’s rights, civil rights and equality, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She sacrificed what might have been a peaceful retirement to stay on the bench despite sufferinng four types of cancer, exhausting treatments and related health issues. She was a fighter in every way, especially for justice for the people of the United States.
So this weekend, we dedicate our music thread to a very historic and irreplaceable American Woman, The Notorious RBG. Share whatever songs you choose in a tribute to her, whether about women, justice, heroes, etc.
Now it’s your turn to share the songs you want to dedicate to the life and memory of this woman whose connscience and inner strength has left a lasting legacy that protects and has and will innspire generations of Americans. RIP to the very Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Whatevs, they’re Canadian, but I am FUCKING PISSED and don’t care about you. I HAVE TO LIVE with this Supreme Court, NOT YOU. Kumbaya stuff can kiss my fucking ass.
May the incredible RBG’s fervent wish be fulfilled by standing on her shoulders and fight for that which is worth fighting for.
