Whie I’m sure there are some Repubs and even Russians pretending to be Bernie supporters, I don’t think either he or his followers are Repubs but I don’t think their necessarily Dems. And in the end, it will be the Dem base that elects the nom.

Well, not in a Dem primary. Some of those who vote for Bernie just want a disruptive candidate and are childish enough to be willing to vote for Trump in a GE if “their” candidate doesn’t get the nom. But I know solid Dems who support him but will support the eventual nominee in any case. That’s a majority, it was in 2016 too.

Rosenstein is a wimp, he was crying at the prospect of being fired by Trump. Then he kisses his ass? The point is, he may have denied Mueller what he needed to pursue Trump as far as he needed. He may have denied Mueller the opportunity to interview Trump. Rosenstein could have dirty hands.

The Dems will never push a prosecution against any Repubs for all this treason, they seem far too calculating on not wanting to rile up Trump’s base instead of standing up for the rule of law and proving that no one is above the law. I’m not against people using Twitter, we tweet links to our posts and I tweet here and there but the folks who spend so much of their online life there and yet are outraged at Trump and all the pro-racist loons there, don’t seem to get that they are helping promote it.

PPO – What is a reminder of what I don’t like about the Dems is the confidence some of the establishment/status quo types have that they are smarter than everyone else in playing it safe. We’ve already seen him back away from really bad, partisan decisions that would make the public furious. Murph – I’m fine with Biden getting the attention right now and using it to go after Trump. Happy that we have such a strong field of contenders. While I have my preferences on candidates, I will be upfront about what I’m not crazy about with candidates like Biden but if he got the nom, I’m supporting him 100%. The problem is the precedent that the Dems would be setting for the power of the presidency to be above the law. If Trump’s crimes are not enough to trigger impeachment, it’s hard to imagine what would. Conspiring with our adversary to manipulate our elections? Obstructing justice? Those should be allowed to stand as not being crimes that a president should pay a price for committing?

Trump has committed more serious crimes than Clinton or even Nixon. He’s surpassed Nixon as a crook! And not impeaching him would empower him to rip the nation into shreds if he won re-election. Dems need to accept that he could win and how much of a dictator would they have helped make him if they say, “You can commit any crime against our country you want, we’re too afraid to try and stop you.”

Yes, I do agree with you that the Constitution needed to be refined and updated far more frequently than it has been. The Dems and some Repubs helped get that impeachment wheel rolling against Nixon through the hearings, even when a majority didn’t suppport impeachment. What annoys me are those in the Dem Establishment who have been trying to swat down even the possibility of impeachment because they’re afraid of how it could hurt Dems winning elections. That is not supposed to be the priority, protecting the Constitution and democracy come first. Or we may not have fair elections.

Agreed. The Founders saw the Constitution as a living document that needed to grow and change as the country did. Conservatives who also believe a book written 2000 years ago should dictate freedoms today don’t want a document 240 years old to change. It needs to be changed but again, open that door today and the Kochs rush in.
