Vox Populi tonight at 7pm PST!
AdLib 3 hours ago
C U then
pinkpantheroz

See you then!
AdLib 3 hours ago
Ad, when do you go to summer time?
pinkpantheroz

Usually in June. How about you?
AdLib 2 hours ago
hi glenn!
pinkpantheroz

Hey glenn!
AdLib 2 hours ago
Spring forward?
pinkpantheroz

Hi PPO and Ad! Good to see you both!
glenn

Had photos with Mrs Yang recently?
pinkpantheroz

PPO–We go to Daylight Savings Time this weekend…Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m. to be precise.
glenn

PPO – Everyone’s doing it! Human trafficing is the trnediest thing this year in the GOP.
AdLib 2 hours ago
OK, glenn, thanks. I have to adjust here for the time
pinkpantheroz

Oh!!! DST! Yes, that is coming up!
AdLib 2 hours ago
I thought PPO was asking when I first make lemonade.
AdLib 2 hours ago
pinkpantheroz

PPO–So next week we will be on DST, which means it will be an hour later for you, right?
glenn

Nope earlier!
pinkpantheroz

It will be an hour later for us too, glenn!
AdLib 2 hours ago
The GOP will still be on Yang time though.
AdLib 2 hours ago
A lot of Yins will want their Yang
pinkpantheroz

Hpe Manafort hets more prison time! Outrageous sentence!
pinkpantheroz

Ok, now I”m confused. In the spring, we spring forward an hour. So, when I wake up on Sunday morning, if I haven’t re-set my clocks Saturday night (which I never do), if it’s 9:00 a.m., I have to reset my clock for 10:00 a.m. I get that hour back in the fall, when I “fall back”.
glenn

So top Repubs have now had pictures taken with Russian spies (Butina), human traffickers (Yang) and convicted felons (too many to count who worked for Trump). That’s a 2020 poster if there ever was one.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–technically, it will be an hour later for us, but since the whole US is on DST, then it will still be 10:00 p.m. for us.
glenn

Ad–The poster should also include the lying bully signing all those Bibles. Makes a nice touch, dontcha think?
glenn

Yes, that’s right. Spring forward so 8:00pm PST will actually be 7:00pm PDT.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Yes, but you going forward an hour means closer to Oz. So i need to log on an hour earlier. THEN, when I Fall back in a couple of weeks, I need to log in yet another hour! earlier! Simples! NOT
pinkpantheroz

glenn – The photo could include Trump with Stormy too.
AdLib 2 hours ago
glenn, WTH is that Military Bible about? Don’t they use the same one?
pinkpantheroz

PPO–I believe you. All I know is I’ll still be here at 10 p.m. next Friday (I hope), so not much changes for me. Glad you can keep up with the changes.
glenn

I think Manafort will get at least 6 – 8 years more next week that will run consecutively, giving him a total of 9-11 years and there’s no parole for federal crimes.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad hope so. It will be the same judge handling Stone’s blunders. Goodie!
pinkpantheroz

PPO–I don’t think we’re on the same wavelength tonight. I don’t know about military bibles. All I know is the lying bully was in Alabama signing bibles for tornado survivors.
glenn

Manafort would be 78 – 80 when he gets out. And if he’s pardoned, look for NY and other states to prosecute him for state crimes that he can’t be pardoned from and will have hefty sentences too.
AdLib 2 hours ago
hope they share a cell. Roger will shorten Manaforts life by incessantly talking
pinkpantheroz

glenn – So glad to know you’ll be here! And PPO!
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–Yeah, put Stormy on the poster, too. Perhaps we can have some of those melania porn pictures that are floating around the internet, too. It would be a crowded poster, though.
glenn

glenn, picture on twitter shows trumps autograph on a Bible, then another Military Bible, half the size! also autographing a boob!
pinkpantheroz

You can see the roof falling in bit by bit on Trump right now. Mueller’s report, The House’s investigations and possible impeachment, the SDNY cases, the state cases, so much is getting ready to fall in on him, he has no idea.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–Didn’t know that about no parole for federal crimes. Hope he gets a lot more than that, but I’ll settle for around 10 years.
glenn

glenn – It would have to be a mural!
AdLib 2 hours ago
All way too slowly, Ad. Seems people just want to do nothing till the next election and vote him out. Except – that just might not happen!!!
pinkpantheroz

glenn – There’s time off for good behavior but no parole for fed crimes. Only states have parole boards.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad, the sistine Chapel Ceiling need to be redone.
pinkpantheroz

So if he was convicted of state crimes, Manafort could push for parole when eligible but in NY? I don’t think he’s going to get anywhere.
AdLib 2 hours ago
PPO–Seriously? Autographing a boob? Had to look up about military bibles. Apparently, some company made bibles up that are half the size of regular bibles, but the military has banned them. Of course, that makes them valuable to repubs, because….
glenn

Ad, don’t you have to show remorse for parole? None visible in that arrogant shit.
pinkpantheroz

PPO – We could always make Trump’s wall very decorative with a mural of him with all the criminals and dictators he’s surrounded himself with.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–oh, I think he has an idea that his world is crashing; he just doesn’t know what to do about it except more nasty tweets.
glenn

BRB looking for that photo montage
pinkpantheroz

Ad–a mural on the wall…good one!
glenn

Repubs like the idea of half a bible…just keep in the parts about damning and killing people, that’s all they like.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–The wall with the mural should be in the lying bully’s prison cell.
glenn

PPO – Yep, remorse and reform. Manafort couldn’t pull that off on anyone other than the lunatic judge Ellis who gave him a virtual 3 years sentence.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–like your take on the military bible, but it’s half the size, not half the content. Now, if it were a republican bible, it would only have half the content.
glenn

glenn – Much better. And Trump will never get his version of a wall built, it will take many years in the courts and the Dem who wins in 2020 will just cancel it.
AdLib 2 hours ago
glenn – I know it’s just half the size but I’m imagining the ideal way Repubs would want to shrink it.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Take out all the Jesus stuff.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Thaat would make them happy, they hate socialists.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–wait…you mean the wall isn’t being built now? And being finished ahead of time? I thought that’s what the lying bully in the oval office said is happening right now!
glenn

Ad–Honey, I shrunk the bible!
glenn

glenn – Trump is using a time machine and gets confused, so the wall is being built, has been built and will be built. Any questions?
AdLib 2 hours ago
glenn –
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–no questions, confusion is the lying bully’s MO as well as his state of mind.
glenn

So Biden is getting ready to jump in the race. And Beto seems like he’s waiting to go after him to get the last rush of attention. What do you think of Biden as a candidate?
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad, just retweeted one photo to @PlanetPOV
pinkpantheroz

I don’t think much of Biden as a candidate. I like him as a progressive, but I think he would make a terrible candidate! Too prone to handsiness with women; too prone to gaffes, and too old. I want to see a president younger than 70.
glenn

All the Never Trump Reubs are being obnoxious and telling Dems that they need to nominate Biden. For me, that’s should be an anti-endorsement for Dems.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Checking it out, PPO!
AdLib 2 hours ago
Beto might get the nod if Biden stayed as VP, IMO But I like Kamala!
pinkpantheroz

Ad–I do like Beto, though. I really like the way he handled himself on the campaign trail. He didn’t rise to reporters’/republicans’ “bait”. Just kept stating what he was going to do, and left the “he said/they said” nonsense aside.
glenn

Ad–I just love how the never trumpers are giving Dems advice! LOL!
glenn

PPO–I have mixed feelings about Kamala. What are your reasons for supporting her?
glenn

About Trump autographing Bibles in Alabama, that’s like the devil autographing The Cross!
pinkpantheroz

glenn, I like her chutzpah. Don’t know much more, just that shes feisty!. Nancy needs to stay as Speaker.
pinkpantheroz

PPO – I’d support Kamala if she won but she’s not a candidate I’m crazy about. I think Beto will really excite Dems in debates and rallies, hopefully more than moderate Joe.
AdLib 2 hours ago
What do I know, anyway???
pinkpantheroz

PPO–Yup, Kamala sure is feisty! I do like that about her. I also like that her feistiness comes with a nice, calm demeanor. I’m still waiting to see policy positions for all candidates before I vote for one, but I will support whichever candidate the Dems nominate. I do hope it isn’t Biden, though.
glenn

Kamala is a mixed bag, IMO. She is very smart and strong which is important but she can be deferential to power and money and is more of a recent convert to being Progressive as opposed to an Estab-type moderate who is more on the pro-authority and pro-police side.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–I agree about Beto. Do you think if he decides to run that he will get the nomination? An O’Rourke/Harris ticket would be good, IMO. Why aren’t you crazy about Harris?
glenn

Ad–oops, as I was asking you my question, you were answering it.
glenn

She is also kind of calculating. I watched her tweets throughout Trump’s first year and she veered away from tweeting about anything timely while supporting indisputable and more mainstream things. It was lacking a bit of authenticity for me and refelctive of a strategy instead. I like more down to Earth folks as Beto and Warren seem to be but I don’t think Warren is strong enough as a candidate. She will help push the party and nom in the right direction though.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–what do you think about Inslee?
glenn

Ad, She’s a politician. It what pollies do. We need pollies for sure to fix this mess.
pinkpantheroz

IMO, Inslee doesn’t have a chance, he lacks the hooks that Kamala, Beto and Biden have.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–I think you bring up an important point. Most candidates nowadays follow a strategy based on “focus groups” and crap like that. I think that’s why Beto struck such a chord with voters; he actually seemed to be authentic in supporting what he believed in, rather than a strategy worked out by his advisers and the DNC.
glenn

PPO – But at the same time Kamala was tweeting about support for puppies and kittens, other Dems were addressing the issues of the day. I don’t think Dems want another nom who is too much about the calculating of their actions than one that is driven by their principles.
AdLib 2 hours ago
you’re probably right, Ad. It’s difficult to see everything from here. We get a lot, but not all
pinkpantheroz

glenn – Exactly. I am not 100% sold on Beto yet, I do want to see him discuss details on his positions and see how he deals with Trump and the other Dems in the primary. But leaders don’t follow. Beto seems a natural at channelling what the people support but leading them towards that. At least that’s how his campaign in TX came off to me.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–this is kind of off topic, but I think that’s why repubs, who have no principles left, are so afraid of AOC. She might drive the Democratic party to stand up to it’s principles, rather than a strategy. On the other hand, if we don’t have a strategy to beat the lying bully, we
glenn

run the risk of losing again.
glenn

Choicelady, who has worked a lot in Sacramento and knows a lot about Kamala, is not crazy about her. Neither is a friend of mine who is an LA prosecutor though her complainst come from the other direction, that she wasn’t tough enough. Kamala will be a contender but I think she has aspects that may limit her support.
AdLib 2 hours ago
AOC is a loose cannon, but shoots straight! They’re concentrating all kinds of attacks on her now, because she will appeal to the younger voters.
pinkpantheroz

Ad–it’s early yet, and there’s no telling who else might throw his/her hat into the ring. The debates will be interesting to see how each candidate will differentiate him/herself from the crowd to get the nomination.
glenn

Ad–agree about Harris. Again, I’m on a wait and see mode right now.
glenn

glenn – Very well put! I think that is one of the best descriptions of AOC and why I like her even though I’m not crazy about some of her words and actions. She is driven by principle and doesn’t roll over for the Status Quo Dems which is exactly the path Dems need to be energized to follow. Not fall back into the old Status Quo with Biden.
AdLib 2 hours ago
As long, glenn, as everyone backs the final nominee (NOT Bernie!). Difficult in Dmocratic territory, but we need cohesion
pinkpantheroz

PPO – The fact that Repubs are focusing their attacks on AOC tells you everything, they are afraid of the energy, inspiration and demographics that she drives. She is the Anti-GOP and scary to them.
AdLib 2 hours ago
Ad–Yup. AOC is certainly shaking up the status quo. That’s exactly right about Biden, too. I really think he’s a great guy; I just don’t think this is the time for an “establishment” Dem.
glenn

So Dems need to fight back against the GOP propaganda behemoth and put in a few punches of their own. McConnell needs to go, with so many others, but he is the biggest nasty of all, more than Trump, even IMO
pinkpantheroz

Ad, how did Murph get on with his meeting?
pinkpantheroz

PPO–So true about mcconnell. He certainly is the biggest nasty, as you say. He is worse because he actually knows what he’s doing, unlike the lying bully, and he does it with a vengenance.
glenn

glenn – I don’t see any other big candidates joining the race after Biden and Beto. I think they and Kamala will be in the top tier, maybe others but I can see the path for Biden or Beto better than I can for anyone else. Biden will be the Hillary-moderate of 2020 (which is why I think he would be a mistake) and Beto would be the Obama-New Guy. In that match up, Obama won last time and I think Beto could be the more inspiring.
AdLib an hour ago
PPO – I left out Bernie, he will be a top tier candidate too but I think he has a strong but limited base.
AdLib an hour ago
And I don’t want to see Bernie as the candidate either, I don’t think he will be.
AdLib an hour ago
Fine with me, Ad. I hate him being allowed to declare as a Democratic candidate.
pinkpantheroz

Ad–your assessment of the candidates is spot on, IMO. As for Bernie, I think he is the loose cannon. Also, Bernie’s age is a big factor IMO.
glenn

PPO – If the Dems could take McConnell’s seat…at least take majority in the Senate, life will get so much better for America!
AdLib an hour ago
PPO–Asked Murph about his breakfast meeting last week. He said the people he was meeting with got insulting right at the beginning, so Murph and his friend just walked out.
glenn

Oh I laughed to see the reaction to Fox being denied coverage of the Dem Conventions’
pinkpantheroz

PPO – Murph said nothing has changed much with the folks he met with. Most still defend Trump and blame Dems irrationally.
AdLib an hour ago
glenn.. Good for Murph! Wonder what his opponents thought they could get out of that?
pinkpantheroz

Ad–It’s going to take several Dem administrations to fix McConnell’s mess. He and the lying bully have packed our federal courts with cons, and it’s going to take a long time to counteract that.
glenn

glenn – and it is still going on!
pinkpantheroz

PPO–They probably thought they could “own the libs.” That’s their goal.
glenn

PPO – I think it is better for the Dems to always be open to whatever candidates jump in, I’m less about the label of “Dem” than the commitment to Dem principles. And a nom coudn’t win without them. Bernie has way too much baggage now, I don’t see him winning over the huge pool of Hillary voters which will keep him from being the nom.
AdLib an hour ago
PPO–yup, that’s why it’s critical for Dems to take the Senate in 2020. Sometimes, I think that’s even more important than the presidency.
glenn

glenn, logically you’re very right, but, but, but I couldn’t stand another 4 years of Cousin It.
pinkpantheroz

….even though a repub president would nominate more cons, at least a Dem Senate could slow walk the nominations, and hold them up in hearings.
glenn

PPO – Finally, the Dems aren’t wimping out and handing control in their primary to Fixed News just because they’re afraid of looking afraid. No, you don’t hand a ratings jackpot and influence over your primary to a propaganda machine intent on re-electing Trump.
AdLib an hour ago
Cousin It being the lying bully?
glenn

I know it is petty, but I would LOVE to see Dem Senate and house do to the GOP what they did to us.
pinkpantheroz

glenn, yep
pinkpantheroz

Ad–yeah, Fixed News is already calling Dems cowards for not letting them host any debates. Too bad, so sad, as my daughter used to tell me.
glenn

PPO–It’s not petty. It’s correcting the course that the repubs laid.
glenn

True glenn, it will take many years to outnumber all the insane judges that McConnell is packing into our courts but I believe we will succeed in that eventually. Meanwhile, with Repubs allowing the WH to be used to work around Congress, a Dem President in 2021 will have more tools to rid the nation of Trump madness quicker.
AdLib an hour ago
True, Ad. the GOP biter will be well and truly bit back. Good!
pinkpantheroz

glenn – A Dem Senate would outright reject most nominees like the ones who are getting approved.
AdLib an hour ago
Well, folks, that’s my lot for this week. Please don’t have selfies taken with a lady named Yang! All the best!
pinkpantheroz

Ad–not sure that I think it’s a good idea for a Dem president to work around Congress. I think a Dem president needs to lead, and if we have a Dem House and McConnell is out of the Senate, we can work reasonable. MAYBE! I just don’t think two wrongs make a right, especially in this instance. We need to get back to following the Constitution.
glenn

‘Nite, PPO, take care!
glenn

Ad–and that’s a good thing for the Dem Senate to do. Reject those cons!
glenn

glenn – I saw other journalists calling out the DNC for avoiding Fox News for debates, I even tweeted at Peter Baker at the NYT for being such a hack for doing so.
AdLib an hour ago
You know what, I’m sick of journalists giving every stupid, lying lying bully protector air time and then calling out Dems for protecting themselves. My take on those journalists….fuck ’em!
glenn

glenn – I agree and I don’t ssupport a Dem President using EOs to go around Congress but I do support him/her using Emergency Declarations to address Climate Change, Gun Violence and other emergencies that Congress won’t do anything about.
AdLib an hour ago
And, thanks for tweeting at the hacks.
glenn

Too mahy journalists compromise fairness and truth in an effort to appear fair. You don’t act ignorant to appear fair though that’s what they do.
AdLib an hour ago
Ad–Maybe. It depends on how the EOs are worded, and if they’re bypassing Congress for funding. Let the Dem president maybe declare the EO, and then put the funding in the budget submitted to Congress, so it gets congressional approval.
glenn

Exactly. I do see some journalists, mostly on CNN and MSNBC pushing back at the worst of them, but those idiots shouldn’t be given air time in the first place.
glenn

glenn – I think the red line is doing something to contradict Congress. As Trump is doing. But declaring a legit emergency to get existential dangers addressed? That is supported Constitutionally and by law.
AdLib an hour ago
Agreed. The funding is the issue, IMO.
glenn

Going to call it a night, Ad. Always enjoy chatting with you. Take care, and hope to chat with you next week.
glenn

Yes, funding is a Congressional power and using a phony emergency to destroy checks and balances is wrong. But using executive power to protect the country from emergencies that are killing them and destroying their property? That’s not in the questionable range for me.
AdLib an hour ago
Same here glenn! Have a great weekend!
AdLib an hour ago
