JUST CAME FROM AN ORGANIZING MEETING. Saturday March 24 – March for Our Lives Washington DC and in 700 other locations across the country. I am within driving distance of one of them. In St. Louis, marchers will meet at Union Station at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, and proceed to the Gateway Arch along Market Street. I am part of the citizens’ organizing committee assisting our area young people in the exercise of their First Amendment Rights in Protesting What They Believe is the Misapplication of Second Amendment.

PPO–There was one school district–forget where it was–that penalized the kids who walked out with a Saturday suspension. The kids sat silently, arms linked, holding the names of the 17 who were killed in Parkland. There’s video of it; it was very powerful! These kids ain’t fooling around!

I got a call from one of my “kids.” earlier this evening. He said that he and a group of friends who are marching tomorrow were getting threatening phone calls. I spoke with the parents. They called the police and the police called ATT. No more calls.

Well….one of the local deputy sheriffs who I know has been as right wing as anyone but of late he is sounding the alarm…..he sees the ultra right as promoting anarchy and is caught between his beliefs and what those beliefs seem to be promoting.

Five days later his board of deacons informed him that his services were no longer needed….without cause.
