Must be the 4th of July weekend!
AdLib7 days ago
Hey Harleigh!
AdLib7 days ago
hi guys! BENGHAZI!
Harleigh
AAH! Sorry, it’s so rare to hear that word and so scary!!!
AdLib7 days ago
So how do Repubs keep Benghazi alive after this millionth committee report clears Hillary of anything illegal?
AdLib7 days ago
Well that phony scandal died so now the rwnj are off to Emailomania. dumbasses
Harleigh
And when the FBI clears Hillary, it will be all about the Obama conspiracy that rigged the FBI investigation. But who cares, only the idjits already voting for Trump.
AdLib7 days ago
I predict this will be a landslide election for Dems and I think many Repubs are betraying that they see the same wave coming to sweep them back.
AdLib7 days ago
Hey Kes!
AdLib7 days ago
Hola, Planet peeps! Just popping in to wish everyone a happy 4th of July weekend.
kesmarn
A very happy 4th to you, Kes? Any plans?
AdLib7 days ago
the rwnj sites and faux still beat the drums but nobody else cares much about it. They actually believe that tommorrow the FBI is going to arrest HRC and lead her off to jail/prison in handcuffs. seriously. LMAO
Harleigh
Happt 4th to you as well!
Harleigh
Will be heading to the cottage tomorrow. And then the 5th is the Fave’s birthday. 15th! Anyone else thinking that Bill Clinton made a little booboo with the visit to Loretta’s jet?
kesmarn
Harleigh, sure, they believe in the FBI unless their wish doesn’t come true, then they’ll accuse it of being a corrupt, untrustworthy entity.
AdLib7 days ago
that’s cause bill threatened/bribed lynch on her plane.
Harleigh
Kes – Sounds like a great holiday! Yes, check out my new post today, I see Bill Clinton as the Inspector Clouseau of campaigning.
AdLib7 days ago
They’re even turning on Trey Gowdy now for not being “zealous” enough in the witch hunt!
kesmarn
I haven’t had a chance to read your latest, AdLib! (Been a little crazy around here.) But I can’t wait to see Bill as Clouseau! LOL!
kesmarn
Kes – You mean for not making up false charges against Hillary. She’s guilty, the facts need to be shaped to prove what we already know! Signed, RWNJs.
AdLib7 days ago
They are angry no evidence to fit the faux accusations has been released!
Harleigh
When Trey isn’t crazy enough for you, you are in a strange, strange place indeed!
kesmarn
Harleigh – Exactly, facts are just traitors when you know from RW extremists in the media that she’s guilty.
AdLib7 days ago
Hello all….another meeting for my candidate but I am here now.

Hey, Murph!

AdLib7 days ago
Hi Kes
MurphTheSurf3
the clintons own the FBI, DOJ and Dept of State. It’s a conspiracy!
Harleigh
And now Loretta Lynch is on their payroll too.
kesmarn
Ad…the Kirk forces are hard at work trying to prove they have nothing to do with Trump….that is his campaign right now….Tammy is in the process of challenging him at every turn.
MurphTheSurf3
Kes – What we’ve learned this election cycle is that the depths of ignorance, insanity and extremism is bottomless. Just when you think they’ve hit bottom, they stoop even lower.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad….we are working on a big and largely new GOTV effort in Southern Illinois which is usually Elephant Territory.
MurphTheSurf3
So true. And any time the narrative doesn’t validate their fantasies, they just widen the circle of conspirators.
kesmarn
ad ain’t that the whole fuckin truth. way past amazing.
Harleigh
Harleigh – Exactly! Obama has cloned himself too stand over the shoulders of every Fed dept and control it! He’s the real Dr. Evil!
AdLib7 days ago
Harleigh…and apparently the Congress, the GOP Congress, is complicit in the Clinton conspiracy since they exercise oversight of all three…..
MurphTheSurf3
and this was all planned in 2008 with that homebrew server to thwart judicial watch.LOL
Harleigh
Murph – Trump is a stank that doesn’t wash off. Kirk will be heavily tarred with “trump” and deservedly. The case needs to be made that every Repub represents a rubber stamp for Trump if they are elected.
AdLib7 days ago
Diabolically clever, Harleigh!
kesmarn
Murph – I really do think that the map could change this election. AZ is in play? Where next?

Beatlex
Kes in all honesty it comes from ‘The Hill’! I can’t get stoned out enough to make that shit up and still type!
Harleigh
Kes – Yep, the RWNJ mentality is to be forcefed what to think by their media stars then to insist that the facts need to confirm that or it’s a conspiracy.
AdLib7 days ago
Happy Birthday, Canada!
kesmarn
Ad….Tammy’s campaign is driving home the point that it is THE GOP that have created the atmosphere in which Trump was chosen. Kirk said nary a word about Trump until he had the nomination in hand.
MurphTheSurf3
thx kes
Beatlex
Murph – That’s how asinine the GOP core has become, they hate their oown pols foor not making their conspiracies come true.
AdLib7 days ago

MurphTheSurf3
Ad…truth.
MurphTheSurf3
I can see why, Murph.
kesmarn
Murph – It is an ugly disease that strikes around the world now, ISIS terrorism. We can’t fully escape it but they are losing more and more ground in Iraq and Syria, more are being killed, if Iraq can establish an inclusive government, it will help smother ISIS.
Kes, I have dear friends on the Niagara Frontier, in Ottawa, in Calgary and in Vancouver.
MurphTheSurf3
If trump gets let go at their cornenshun I hope they put up a Palin -Bachmann ticket for jebus against Clinton – Warren. How unfair is that?
Harleigh

I love Canada, Murph. We’re close enough to Windsor here that it used to be really easy to vacation there. I haven’t exerted myself to get a passport though, so I haven’t been there recently.

kesmarn
Kes, does one need a passport now to get into Canada?
MurphTheSurf3
passport? Detroit to Windsor?!
Harleigh
Yes, unfortunately, Murph.
kesmarn
Indeed!
kesmarn
Murph – That’s a good narrative from Tammy. Hope they’re also hammering Kirk for handing Trump a pliant majority in Congress if he wins.
AdLib7 days ago
Just had a note from a friend who vacationed there and she says I do indeed need a passport. Never used to before 9/11.
kesmarn

Harleigh
Beatlex – It sure does appear that similar oppressions are going on all around the world, some mainly economic, some political and religious. It’s conservatism smothering populations all around. We sure do need the US (and Canada) and other nations that are fighting against that trend to spread a more liberal sensibility around. Freedom and liberty and ending ooppression of all kinds.
AdLib7 days ago
MurphTheSurf3

Anyone thinking that there might be a re-think on the Brexit situation? At least in Scotland?
kesmarn
I think I may have lost my connection…..too much True North stuff?
MurphTheSurf3
As in — another referendum for Scottish independence, followed by admission to the EU?
kesmarn
Murph, I mentioned this because I saw an ME expert explaining this and it seems like such common sense. If citizens in Iraq and Syria see legitimacy in participating in their government, support for ISIS dries up and they can be mostly eliminated. That is a very long road, especially in Syria but the only road to ending ISIS. Drones, bombs and global spying only minimizes the attacks, won’t ever end them.
AdLib7 days ago
Stop it! you’re making me blush!,not really
Beatlex
Kes….I think that the “Remain” folk in the Conservative Party are going to force the “Exit” folk to endorse a rethinking of the referendum impact.
MurphTheSurf3
I wouldn’t be surprised, Murph. Although I wonder whether it’s a little late in the game now…
kesmarn
Kes – Yes, I think it is very likely for Scotland to vote for and win the vote for independence. They will chooose the EU over the UK if that’s the choice.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad…I agree with that political approach. At the same time Islam is going to have to address why their religious culture is the home of so many groups engaging in Terror in god’s name.
MurphTheSurf3
I was talking to a woman who lives in Scotland and she said the same thing, AdLib.
kesmarn
I sure would want the UK to undo the Brexit vote but they’re between a rock and a hard place. If they push aside Brexit for another vote, the pro-Brexit types will insist another Brexit vote be held to overturn that one, no decisioon will appear too be legit after that. It threatens to permanently undercut their democracy.
AdLib7 days ago
The Muslims here in Ohio continue to be utterly dismayed at things like the airport attack in Turkey. They speak out against it time and time again. I feel so bad for them. They feel helpless.
kesmarn
Ad and Kes…and that Scottish vote is another point of pressure on the Exit Conservatives. Boris Johnson’s stepping away. The opprobrium that Lafarge has experienced in the last week. The statements from a dozen very large British employers about the untenable nature of their remaining in a Non EU UK. The Conservatives will make the Exiters deal with this.
MurphTheSurf3
It’s really been a debacle, hasn’t it? And Farage’s speech to the assembled EU people was a study in arrogant ignorance.
kesmarn
Is that PPO I see over there? Hola!
kesmarn
Kes, HI! Just popping in. Today we vote here – it’s compulsory!
pinkpantheroz
Murph – I’d suggest that those are two different pursuits. A reformation of Islam seems inevitable in the future, as all other religions have had them but that has to come from Muslims who aren’t in a mindset of desperation. To stop ISIS, I think there needs to be a legitimate and inclusive government that people can become invested in and see the bloodshed of ISIS as an ugly alternative they don’t need anymore.
AdLib7 days ago
ad…another referendum is unnecessary. The referendum becomes a point of information, as does the petition, as does polling, as does the impact on the economy, as does etc. in a major Parliamentary debate over a Parliamentary endorsement of whatever action is to be taken. Pressure…
MurphTheSurf3
I like that compulsory voting idea! Just curious: what is the penalty for not voting?
kesmarn
Hi PPO…what is HOT in your election this time around…
MurphTheSurf3
his Brexit was a hoax! Let the people decide? Why would you pit such an important thing to a lied to public? Crprations only gain
Beatlex
Kes – Meanwhile Trump accuses all Muslims of aiding terrorism by ISIS, knowing of all plots and refusing to tell authorities. Meanwhile, Muslims are murdered daily by ISIS and their terrorism.
AdLib7 days ago
$200 or a couple of days in jug for persistent offenders. Nothing if you just pop in and present a spoiled vote. the Senate race is interesting here. there is a Pot Party and a Sex Party! I’ll be voting for them! I’m unfortunately in a blue-ribbon GOP electorate a
pinkpantheroz
Exactly, AdLib. Moderate Muslims here are really between a rock and a hard place. And Trump really isn’t helping. (But what else is new?)
kesmarn
My Oncologist (the man who likely saved my life) is a Muslim and the head of the governing committee at his mosque. I spoke with him yesterday….he is very distressed and feels powerless…his mosque has publicly condemned Islamic fundamentalism.
MurphTheSurf3
Hey Murph! Boring stuff like maintaining the Medicare system Stopping the 1% from even more excesses of trough-snuffling. The Usual.
pinkpantheroz
Trump is CLUELESS.I am sure there is a name for the illness he has.
Beatlex
Same situation here, Murph. Physicians in leadership positions at the mosque and feeling so frustrated.
kesmarn
PPO…is your government there conservative…I think so….and a bit batty.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph – The Brexit vote represented the will of the people and it was a vote against their own government which they distrust and dislike. If government then ignores the vote, it makes things worse. There probably is some way for Brexit to be nixed but it will be very complicated and can’t exclude the people and democracy.
AdLib7 days ago
NO AD! They were fooled andl lied to
Beatlex
My Muslim friend says that there is extraordinary anger among his community members because these terrorists have done these things during Ramadan – and today’s events are on the last day, the holiest day, of that special month.
MurphTheSurf3
Yes, dammit, Murph! Labor ( Dems)has some good folk, b ut no charisma. Liberals( GOP) have some charisma but nothing else. Brexit has overshadowed a lot of the debate leading up to today.
pinkpantheroz
Beatlex – The truth is, the people are very uninformed (the media has much to do with this) which is why the next day, the top searches by Brits were, “What is the EU?” and “What happens if we leave the EU?” Really? They couldn’t seek those answers before they voted for it?
AdLib7 days ago
They are most definitely not true Muslims, Murph.
kesmarn
PPO – Anyway to make that a “joint” ticket, between the Sex and Pot party?
AdLib7 days ago
Ad..the problem is that there has not been a single poll or survey since the vote that replicates the vote. Major organizers of the Exit campaign have asked that it be revisited…some on the grounds that the turnout fell below the 75 percent they were demanding and the exit vote was than 60 percent. Too much riding on it.
MurphTheSurf3
The Sexpot Party!
kesmarn
PPO….I thought so….
MurphTheSurf3
Ad, and Beatlex, both sides were convinced the vote would be to Remain, and any Leave vote a minority of protest at the disconnect between Gov’t and the hio-polloi. WRONG!!!!!
pinkpantheroz
Kes, Where do I sart that one! You can be the treasurer!
pinkpantheroz
Murph – There is so little that most Muslims can do about the way things are. It is a tiny minority that populates ISIS and commits terrorists acts, which is what terrorism is all about. Only took 19 Al Qaeda followers to commit 9/11.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO….I think your assessment is on the mark….my British friends report that some of the most rabid exiters are now arguing for another route…
MurphTheSurf3
I’ll be happy to take charge of the funds, PPO! On the Brexit vote — so this was — in a sense — a bluff that backfired when it was called?
kesmarn
PPO – Do you think the Brexit vote has swayed people away from Conservatives since they’re the ones behind Brexit and destroying their own coountry?
AdLib7 days ago
Kes –
AdLib7 days ago
😉
kesmarn
Murph, the problem is that the EU are fed up with the Pom’s arrogance and are now telling them to invoke the Leave statute and get on with it. They’re sick and tired of the UK demanding more conditions and privileges than the rest, so they will be quite happy for the UK to go.
pinkpantheroz
Murph – I see the same response as you do in the UK but whoever becomes PM, out of all the candidates, all say they will enforce it.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad….one of the turning points in the troubles in N. Ireland was an outright condemnation of the violence being perpetrated in the name of Catholic and Protestant Churches. All of the major leaders made very public statements saying that such action was a major since and grounds for excommunication. At that time people took this very seriously. Islamic culture is still very much like that.
MurphTheSurf3
PPO – True. The issue here is that there needs too be some clever way for government to negate the Brexit vote without setting precedent that elections have no meaning. I think it could be done but not if Gove wins the PM spot. He’s a committed Exiter.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad…all of those running right now are saying that they will honor the referendum but I think that is a tactic. They want a public outcry at such an order of magnitude that they will be “forced” to find an alternative.
MurphTheSurf3
Well, peeps, the hour is late here, so I may have to say good night. Have a safe and happy 4th!
kesmarn
Ad, the public in the UK are as fed up with the 1% as the US. They feel a huge disconnect and the gerrymander is a powerful tool there. The problem is that Labor also urged voters to remain, so they’re just as screwed yp now.
pinkpantheroz
PPO…the EU leadership can be unhappy…..and some other European nations are hoping to step in the UK shoes….but until Article 50 is activated by the UK nothing can happen.
MurphTheSurf3
‘night, Kes!
pinkpantheroz
Good night, kes.
MurphTheSurf3
Kes – Yes, it was a gamble that a cocky David Cameron promised to “buy” the support of Conservatives who wanted it because he thought he could lose the election.
AdLib7 days ago
Night Kes! Happy 4th!
AdLib7 days ago
Ad…the referendum is not an election….no legislative action and no one wins an office…it is a statement by the public to the leadership.
MurphTheSurf3
PPO – Makes sense. The Brits still want too curb free travel and immigration so how do they stay in the EU?
AdLib7 days ago
True, Murph, but for now, UK will get no favors for anything they may want while still in the EU. And they for sure won’t get privilege status outside.
pinkpantheroz
Ad…Gove has modified his stance in the last 48 hours…..pressure!
MurphTheSurf3
PPO…the UK is a major global economy……it will work its way back in if it stays.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph – Don’t see how it works like that for ISIS. Their leader is behind ISIS, he’s not going to renounce his own goals and organization. And they don’t care what other Islamic leaders say. It is more cultish, not centralized like Catholocism.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad, The main problem for the UK is that both Scotland and Northern IKreland voted overwhelmingly to Remain IN. So now Scotland may be able to justify a referendum seeking the OK to secede from the UK and stay in the EU. Northern Ireland – well I don’t have a clue there. It may be that circumstances force it to try and unite with thr Republic, but that is fraught with problems as well.
pinkpantheroz
Murph – So how is a public outcry expressed if not by referendum? Would polls outweigh an official vote?
AdLib7 days ago
Ad…my friend tells me that what is needed is a huge outpouring of fatwah’s from the vast majority of Muslim scholars and imams declaring that groups like ISIS are heretical and damned AND really pour it on. For one thing those who refused to do this would be more visible .
MurphTheSurf3
PPO – And as Kalima explained, along the way, Labour “triangulated” to be more appealing to conservative voters and turned their backs on unions and working people. So they have to win back that trust as well, pursuing ties again.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad, in the UK it was always said that the Referendum was NOT legally binding, but woe betide anyone who did not abide by the result. So there is sort of wriggle room, but they may have to go evenTually.
pinkpantheroz
PPO….technically the three Parliaments (English, Welsh and Scot) have to ok the EU exit….
MurphTheSurf3
PPO – Yes, I think that’s the path Scotland will take, independence from the UK in a new referendum and staying in the EU. This is a disaster for the UK, I don’t know that they can backflip on Brexit soon enoough to keep Scotland in the UK.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO…..I have made the point that since the referendum there has been no poll, no survey, no study that has replicated the result AND a huge outcry to undo it. I suggest that the referendum be part of a full debate in Parliament requiring a vote.
MurphTheSurf3
Ad….and that Scot possibility is another of the huge pressure points.
MurphTheSurf3
Well, gang….I am heading off to my chamber in hopes of better news tomorrow..
MurphTheSurf3
Maybe that’s the way to go, Murph. I’m still stewing ab out Cameron and Johnson’s cowardice in creating the heap of shite and walking away to leave some other poor bastard to clean up.
pinkpantheroz
Murph – I would disagree with your friend, it seems more like wishful thinking. ISIS followers don’t care what anyone else tells them, they are rabid followers. You can’t use rational thinking to stop people who don’t think rationally. You have to starve the beast.
AdLib7 days ago
sleep well, Murph, and enjoy your long weekend. Happy 4th!
pinkpantheroz
Ad….my friend’s point is to remove all doubt that the thinking of Islam as a whole is to condemn terror- formally – and to preach that such actions are heretical…..the aim here is to reduce its attractiveness to converts.
MurphTheSurf3
PPO – Many pols in the UK recognize that just tossing out the results of the referendum will set a very dangerous precedent. There will be more votes on other issues in the future, to set the precedent that the people’s will can be set aside is dangerous to democracy. Granted many have changed their minds now but this is why it will have to be slow and well calculated how they get out of Brexit…if they can.
AdLib7 days ago
So Bill Clinton meets on the tarmac! Unforced error
Beatlex
Cameron had no choice but to tender his resignation given that he laid his Prime Ministership on the line…..he could have really walked away as Johnson did, but his multi month resignation period is a gambit I think.
MurphTheSurf3
LOretta Lynch-oops
Beatlex
Good night all.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph – I do support what your friend says and it is smart but sadly, despte the efforts they make, when another terrorist attack is committed by ISIS, those who want to knee jerk blame all Muslims, will do so.
AdLib7 days ago
Bye murph
Beatlex
Murph, there are as many schisms within Islam as there are in Christianity. How have We managed?
pinkpantheroz
Good night, Murph.
pinkpantheroz
PPO – The terrorist Muslims are essentially cultists who shun the majority of Muslims and their leaders. You can’t reason with them, the way you could influence a centralized religion. Their supply of folloowers need to be cut off, it’s the only way.
AdLib7 days ago
Mother nature will deal with us Humand if we don’t act to slw the warming.I think we are past the tipping point
Beatlex
Well, I’d better exercise my compulsory right to call my local member a lying dickhead, so I’ll say cheerio. Social media HAS to be censored to stop the spread of the fundamentalists filth.
pinkpantheroz
Beatlex – Oh yeah, we’re in store for big time Climate Change destruction to our planet. If we can at least work to reduce the carbon along the way, it won’t be as bad as it could be but we’re in for some difficult times.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO – Go get ’em, PPO!
AdLib7 days ago
beat, the hole in theOzone layer is closing again. Well done us!
pinkpantheroz
