KillgoreTrout

Since last we all talked ….. Donald gave us a gift…..Palin!
MurphTheSurf3

Murph–oh, sorry I misunderstood. So far, so good as far as power goes. I’m pretty far west in GA; in fact, I’m closer to TN than I am to the east coast of GA.

KT, noisy neighbor, eh?
pinkpantheroz
Hey glenn! How is one of my favorite online friend doing these days?
KillgoreTrout
The end of the GOP stupidity? That’s like saying the end of a lemon being sour.
AdLib7 days ago
Murph–Yup–she’s the gift that never goes away! It’s like the “idiot of the month” club, except the same Idiot keeps popping up! With the same script, no less. Obama bad; elitist leftists are ruining our god-fearing, rifle-toting country, or something like that.
glenn

PPO, more like a nieghbor who isn’t quite legal. but he’s a great guy. Subtlety is a value here.
KillgoreTrout
BTW PPO, glad to hear you’re healing well!
AdLib7 days ago
The National Review’s NO on Trump laid it all out…..dozens of reasons the GOP should reject Trump…so of course, the NR is OUT per the RNC in debate sponsorship
MurphTheSurf3
KT–doing well. Have a nasty cold, but this too shall pass, I hope. Nice and cozy in my house watching the snow fall lightly here in GA.

KillgoreTrout

Murph, it’s great to see the GOP cannibalizing itself
pinkpantheroz
Murph – But Trump voters are exactly the ones who don’t care about what the truth is and they are energized by Trump being attacked by estab Repubs. The NR just published a Trump advertisement for the morons prone to supporting him!
AdLib7 days ago
PPO ….. I hope they are.
MurphTheSurf3

I am just suffering the normal ravages of age. Nothing serious, but nothing that is going to go away. Cannabis brownies help…a great deal!

Very yumm, PPO!
KillgoreTrout
Murph–I hope McCain cringes with shame every time he hears this woman speak. I know he’s always defended her, but I think that’s just to save face. Any sane person has to be so embarassed to have brought this woman to prominence. And, she just won’t go away!
glenn
Ad….I agree but I think they wanted to be on the record…..it is quite an “impressive list” 22 conributors plus their editorial board.
MurphTheSurf3
Palin’s endorsement of Trump is like stepping in doggy droppings, the stink will follow him into the GE and will alienate many voters. Don’t know who has a bigger unfavorable, Trump or Palin?
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, I wish McCain could just go away as well.
pinkpantheroz
I have to say, I was very appreciative of Palin’s atavistic endorsement of Trump.
KillgoreTrout
Glenn……even now McCain says he remains proud of his decision.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph – Actually the sentiment that issue inspires is how panicked the GOP is that they are about to drive off a very steep cliff.
AdLib7 days ago
That may have been the straw that broke the GOP’s back!
KillgoreTrout
Here’s hoping, KT
pinkpantheroz
PPO–well, he has been pretty silent lately. McCain, that is. You’re right; he needs to shut up, because whatever he says, it won’t change the fact that he brought this horrible woman “out”.
glenn
Ad….makes for very interesting reading…..most of those I know on the right won’t even talk about it…..
MurphTheSurf3
It will come to pass. The media portrays only segments, and never the whole.
KillgoreTrout
Murph – McCain is lying, he lost the election partially because of Palin and he knows it. And she’s dissed him all over the place. McCain finds it more distasteful to admit a massive, historic blunder so he won’t diss her publicly and claims to stand by her.
AdLib7 days ago
Murph–I know that’s what he says publicly, but don’t you think he has to have just a twinge of embarassment/shame/guilt/whatever?
glenn
Ad…..I think you are correct.
MurphTheSurf3
glenn, in a word, no!
pinkpantheroz
Glenn….I agree with you and Ad…so much for honest, integrity and courage.
MurphTheSurf3
Just remember, Trump doesn’t like McCain, the POW!
pinkpantheroz
I used to think that Trumps run was a grand practical joke. Now, I think he’s on a suicide mission. Or, he is really as dumb as most of the country sees.
KillgoreTrout
Murph – Haven’t read it yet, many of those in tat group like Kristol and Erickson are some of the most detestable human beings in the world so I do get some satisfaction from their futile cry in the dark but am not so motivated to read them.
AdLib7 days ago
KT….he may well be as meglomanical as he appears to be.
MurphTheSurf3
I automatically dismiss anything Kristol writes. The man has never been correct.
KillgoreTrout
KT, with you on that. What would happen if he just said “I’m sorry, just a joke, I don’t want to be POTUS anyway”?
pinkpantheroz
Ad….I read it today…..and there is satisfaction in seeing those who created the lab screaming about the monster being made in it.
MurphTheSurf3
Murph, no doubt. so was GW BUSH.
KillgoreTrout
PPO. his supporters would find themselves in the wilderness of truth?
KillgoreTrout
So who do all these Estab Repubs think can save the GOP from Trump or Cruz? Rubio looks very weak, Bush is circling the drain, Kasich has thrown everything into NH but no matter how he does, he’s dead in the Southern primaries that follow…they have no savior.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–McCain didn’t lost the election “partially” because of palin. He lost it solely because of palin. If you can’t make better choices than that, you deserve to lose the election. On another note; I think Trump should hire her to be his press secretary, so she can ‘splain all of his “policy positions”.
glenn
PPO–you really think McCain thinks palin was a good choice?
glenn
glenn, no. I think she was foisted on him by the TP gurus, but he didn’t get the joke until too late!
pinkpantheroz
McCain will never admit a mistake. Just like most everyone else in that perverted crowd. They are all sociopaths, and sociopaths are not capable of honest self reflection!
KillgoreTrout
glenn – My POV is that Obama had all the momentum and energy before McCain picked Palin. Coming out of the Dem Convention, most in the MSM were saying it was all over, hence the “game changer” of picking Palin. I actually think that had McCain picked anyone else as VP, he would have lost just as badly. Palin increased the Bagger vote and decreased the indie vote, putting a ceiling on it that couldn’t be broken so McCain was dooomed either way.
AdLib7 days ago
True, KT self delusion is the common thread of the sociopaths
pinkpantheroz
PPO–I still have no sympathy for him. Palin was complete and utter pandering and it backfired on him big time! Just like trump is backfiring on the gop big time. As Murph says, they created the monster of trump; live with it!
glenn
Palin whines about how irresponsible Dem voters are…but when her son beats a woman, it’s not his fault, it’s Obama’s fault. She is such a piece of canine waste.
AdLib7 days ago
Right on, glenn.
pinkpantheroz
These people honestly, turthfully, don’t give a shit about their country. All they care about is the advancement of their sick ideology!
KillgoreTrout
Power, KT is the biggest drug going
pinkpantheroz
Ad–not sure about Obama’s momentum. However, I can only speak from my personal experience, and I was actually leaning toward voting for McCain, until the palindora box of lunacy showed up and started giving speeches! She was awful!
glenn
I think Palin mixes hopes of power, with plenty of methamphetamine.
KillgoreTrout
glenn – Yes, Palin as VP was a stunt. Not a serious and responsible decision but a cynical and shallow attempt at trying to skew the game. Instead, McCain and the GOP got “skewed”.
AdLib7 days ago
KT–She has to be “on” something, doesn’t she? Are there really sober human beings who speak the way she does? It’s just a combination of all of the repub talking points mixed in with something!
glenn
Palin’s latest rant really showed evidence of drug use. Meth would be my guess. She’s not civilized enough for cocaine!
KillgoreTrout
Ad, … as the latest iteration of the GOP are about to get the same medicine. Dontcha think they would have learned? Oh, sorry, it was SO long ago!
pinkpantheroz
KT–Well, cocain is probably for elitists, isn’t it?
glenn
In the 80s, some of the biggest consumers of cocaine were Wall Street and Washington DC. I think, not a whole lot has changed.
KillgoreTrout
On another topic, has anyone any ideas as to who hillary will pick for VP?
pinkpantheroz
glenn, it is, if it’s in powder form. If it’s rock cocaine, that’s for the lower classes, because it’s more addictive, nad much cheaper.
KillgoreTrout
KT–and her choice of clothing shows meth use, too, IMO. Or…just complete and utter lack of taste, which is, of course, why trump wanted her endorsement.
glenn
glenn – After the Democratic Convention in 2008, Obama moved ahead of McCain by between 5-9 points. That’s a lot in a Presidential election with only a month to go. McCain looked cooked. That’s why they felt they had to do something desperate and bring on Palin.
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, isn’t it true, that cocaine ruins one’s taste?
pinkpantheroz
glenn, I think her choice of clothing is as you say, but it is also to hide her growing poundage. She’s getting the fat of age!
KillgoreTrout
Ad–I’m sure you’re right; palin certainly was a desperation move. Also, contrasted to Obama’s wise and thoughtful choice of Biden. Say what you want about his “gaffes”, Biden is a serious politician and well respected.
glenn
KT–as someone who’s overweight myself, I try not to diss on someone else’s weight, but yes, she is packing on the pounds.
glenn
Trump, so gladly accepting Palin’s endorsement really make me wonder how serious Trump is.
KillgoreTrout
PPO – The thing is, the Repub core thinks that the reason McCain/Palin and Romney/Ryan lost was because they weren’t extreme enough. So of course they learned nothing from that election. This time will be different. Trump and Cruz both have huge negatives not only with Indies and Dems but with Repubs! This had to happen, the TP had to grow to the point of finally getting their nom and when they fail horribly, they will have failed as a movement and lose power in the GOP. Works for me.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO–not sure that palin had any taste to begin with; that’s why the RNC had to dress her for the election. When she had to purchase her own clothes, she went back to her usual shitty taste.
glenn
KT – I think you”re right, coke use in DC continues and is legendary!
AdLib7 days ago
KT, I’m starting to wonder the same. What if it’s all a very sick joke from someone who just wants publicity?
pinkpantheroz
PPO – Hillary may not be the one picking a VP.
AdLib7 days ago
yes, glenn, I forgot about the expensive wardrobe provided by the GOP
pinkpantheroz
Oh, I apolgize if I hurt your feelings. I didn’t mean to. My point is that Palin has gotten where she is, in large part, because of her looks. Her looks are no longer her strong point. Hence, the incresed psychotic ramblings for a true degenerate.
KillgoreTrout
Ad, OK, then, the other fella?
pinkpantheroz
PPO – If you want to know if coke use ruins your taste and abilities to reason, ask George Bush.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO–once again, I think the trump really believes he wants the presidency. But not to make life better for ALL Americans; just for the prestige. However, as you say, repubs just never learn; why would you want someone who lost the election for the presidential candidate to endorse you? Surely the repubs have to know by now that palin truly lost that election for mccain.
glenn
glenn – I’m with you on that. Though he has his issues too, I think Biden was a great pick for VP and has done a great job. For that matter, how about John Kerry as SoS? He’s accomplished huge things too. This is one remarkable administration.
AdLib7 days ago
KT–no you didn’t hurt my feelings. I agree with you; palin is gaining weight; I just don’t like to be the first one to bring it up; makes me feel like a hypocrite.
glenn
Ad, not bad for a team led by a lame duck.
pinkpantheroz
KT – I think it’s a symbiotic relationship between Trump and Palin. He feeds her desperate need for media attention and she validates his phony RW cred.
AdLib7 days ago
The GOP has absolutely become the party of incongruence and comedy. The Tea Billies have given birth to what we now are subjected to.
KillgoreTrout
PPO – I like Julien Castro as a VP pick for either Bernie or Hillary.
AdLib7 days ago
Vice President Castro??????? Love it!!
pinkpantheroz
Ad. When all is considered, Trump paid Palin to get him over the Cruz hump in Iowa. After the Iowa caucases, he’ll ditch the TundraTart!
KillgoreTrout
glenn – Interesting thing you bring up, Trump who is all about “winning”, just sought the endorsement of one of politics biggest losers. Soon they’ll have that in common.
AdLib7 days ago
KT–and I agree that she only depended on her looks, and now that she’s losing them; she has nothing to fall back on. A little personal story–I have a very beautiful daughter; she’s always been very attractive. But she learned at a very early age that you had to have some smarts to back up those looks. She always used to say, “Looks will get you in the door, but you have to have something else to make sure the door stays open.” See, I told you she’s smart, too!
glenn
KT that might be true, but too late. She’s the chewing gum on his pants!
pinkpantheroz
PPO – First President Barack Hussein Obama then VP Castro? The GOP’s heads will simply explode!
AdLib7 days ago
PPO, great analogy. The dog shit on her shoe!
KillgoreTrout
KT – Yep, but thanks to a handy dandy thing called recorded video, think of the anti-Trump ads that can be cut by Dems showing Trump as the Palin candidate.
AdLib7 days ago
I should more accurately say….the dogshit on McCain’s shoe.
KillgoreTrout
KT – Too bad for Trump, as Palin might have said, he was “pallin’ around with political terrorists”.
AdLib7 days ago
No doubt Ad!
KillgoreTrout
I wonder if the Penis, er, Kock Brothers are happy with their investments?
pinkpantheroz
PPO–know what I would love to see? If Sanders gets the Dem nom, then Hillary as his VP, and vice versa. I know that’s a pipe dream, but that would really make repubs’ heads explode! A united front for Dems! A socialist and a corporatist! All bases covered! But on the reality side, I like Castro, too. I still think Tammy Duckworth would be an excellent choice, too.
glenn
glenn – So true. As Palin proves, some women depend so much on their appearance that their personality and character atrophy and as they lose their looks, there’s nothing left to attract anyone.
AdLib7 days ago
glenn, a partnership made in heaven, but would either drop their egos to take second fiddle?
pinkpantheroz
Ad–Yup, two losers. I read somewhere today, can’t remember where, that 70% of Americans think trump would make a terrible president!
glenn
One question I’d love to ask Trump: How could someone drive a CASINO into bankruptcy when they are such money makers?
pinkpantheroz
PPO–don’t know if their egos would get in the way; especially Hillary. After losing the nom twice, and taking the SOS position, would she accept the VP position? However, just think of her in the Senate. She would certainly make those t/p heads explode!
glenn
Palin has sunk to really new lows. Blaming the president of the Untied States
KillgoreTrout
PPO – Not only the Kochs but how about Sheldon Adelson wasting his money and all those suckers who gave Jeb! $100 million to be at 3% in the polls? And that monster Barbara Bush came out today to support her son but said he “seems” to be the only candidate with solutions to all of our problems. Of course he has no real answers but “seems” from your own mother? Poor Jebby!
AdLib7 days ago
Ad yes, I’d say they are all spitting chips right now!
pinkpantheroz
glenn – I don’t know that Hillary would every accept the VP position. She refused it after Obama won the nom and I think she’d rather dive back into all that Wall Street money than be Bernie’s VP.
AdLib7 days ago
KT–I just love the people from the party of “personal responsibility.” Here is Palin’s 26-year-old son living with her. Does he have a job? Why isn’t he pulling himself up by the bootstraps instead of living with mommy? Also, I read on several sites that the reason he went into the service was because it was either military or jail. And the reason? Cutting brake lines on school buses! Yea, a real paragon of virtue, that one!
glenn
glenn, he learned that brake trick from Obama, of course!
pinkpantheroz
glenn – My argument for Castro is that of course he would energize the Latino vote which will determine this election. And I’ll bet whoever the Repub nom is will have a Latino as their VP pick because they so desperately need almoost 50% of the Latino vote to win.
AdLib7 days ago
sorry folks, I had to step away for a moment.
KillgoreTrout
Ad–I know, but I just think it would be a great thing for the country. And, you have to figure Bill into the equation. If Hillary was VP, could Bill keep quiet if she disagreed with Bernie? Would be interesting, though, wouldn’t it?
glenn
PPO–well, of course, dontcha know that’s what community organizers do?
glenn
Are Latinos really that naive that they would vote a Latino GOPer, ad?
pinkpantheroz
glenn – I’ve heard all of that about Palin’s son too. Not that Bristol Palin has shown how well she was raised either. Let’s face it, Palin made up this BS image of being an ideal woman and yet she failed at raising well adjusted kids. Not surprising considering what a lunatic she is but it so obviously undermines her whole phony image.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–I agree with you that Castro would be a great pick. I’m just playing “devil’s advocate”. Yes, we need the Latino vote, and it seems from what I’m reading, Bernie may not be too popular with Latinos.
glenn
Sarah actually never said “PTSD,” but she certainly implied it, and the media just went with it. If Track does indeed suffer from PTSD, it wasn’t because of his limited military service. If he has PTSD, it’s from growing up in the Palin household. He shows definite signs of someone who grew up in a dysfunctional family.
KillgoreTrout
Spot on, KT!
pinkpantheroz
Ad–and yet not one word about how the “community organizer” and his lovely wife have managed to raise two beautiful, well-adjusted daughters. One is graduating from HS this year without ever becoming pregnant!
glenn
I think that listening to her for more than 100 seconds will give anyone PTSD!
pinkpantheroz
glenn – I would support a Bernie/Hillary ticket or vice-versa. It would be a very solid ticket that way but if Hillary doesn’t get the nom, I can’t imagine her going along with that..even if Bernie could put everything aside and offer her the spot.
AdLib7 days ago
PPO and KT–PTSD and a massive headache! I always have to read her speeches; I can’t listen to them.
glenn
My goldfish had PTSD after her rant!
pinkpantheroz
PPO – No, I don’t think Latinos in general would vote for Trump to deport 11 million of them just because he has a Latino VP but if Dems have a Latino VP, I think it neutralizes that argument by a Repub ticket and would energize Latino voters to GOTV for Dems.
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–I love Bernie; I think he speaks the truth; I just think it would show great statesmanship on both their parts if that happened.
glenn
Thanks PPO. I am a suffer of PTSD, for real. I know what it is and what can contribute to it. It’ is not from driving generals around the Green Zone In Iraq. There is no real trauma there. He wasn’t shot at, not blown up in a Humvee bu IEDs, nor did he ever have take another life. No, the PTSD reason is bullshit1
KillgoreTrout
glenn – Now that is a comment that should be tweeted around the Twittersphere! Perfect!
AdLib7 days ago
KT I wasn’t aware of that, and apologise if I upset you trivializing it
pinkpantheroz
I heard the tv yesterday from another room and I though a wacky cartoon character was on it for some reason then came in and discovered it was Palin. Honest!
AdLib7 days ago
Ad–feel free to twitter it. I’m not a twitterer, so it’s up to you.
glenn
Oh heavens PPO. You haven’t done that in the least. I was referring to Palin and her bullshit excuse for lack of “Family Values.”
KillgoreTrout
glenn – I’m with you on that and think that if the two frontrunners for the Dem nom were on the same ticket, that would be fantastic. Either way, first woman Pres or VP, historic. But, I could argue for the first Latino VP too.
AdLib7 days ago
glenn – I will!
AdLib7 days ago
Ad, Dick Dastardy meets Penelope Pitstop!
pinkpantheroz
Ad–isn’t it great that the Dems have such a strong field? And you should start twittering about Castro, too. Get the momentum going!
glenn
Lest I give the wrong impression, my PTSD was not solely limited to my military experience. Anybody can be afflicted with this horrific illness. Cops, Fire fighters and civilians. The key word in this is TRAUMA. Trauma is not limited to the military.

glenn – I think the Castro VP idea is floating around a bit out there but you’re right, can only help to get behind and promote it!
AdLib7 days ago
KT – So true, anyone who has suffered a traumatic experience, a violent crime, a car accident, anything horrendous can lead to PTSD.
AdLib7 days ago
KT – IMO, you’ve got a whole “Planet” of people like that here!
AdLib7 days ago
But first, it is better to be acquainted with what appears to be real.
KillgoreTrout
Have to take care of something, BRB!
AdLib7 days ago
Ad, I’m honored that you think my ideas are worth repeating.
glenn
Absolutely Ad. There are victims of rape, assault, gang threats and killings. The world is a very dangerous place, and there are all kinds of trauma. But, PTSD really involves a sort of life changing, serious, and damaging trauma.
KillgoreTrout

Well glenn. They are!

So Murph, what are your thoughts on the Iowa caucuses? (sp). Think Cruz will pull it off? Also, what are your thoughts on cruz’s eligibility for president? I really think trump is on to something this time. I wish the SCOTUS would take up the issue of presidential eligibility so it could be settled. Not that I think cruz will ever be the nominee, much less the president, but it would be nice to have the issue settled. And, to see it settled that cruz is NOT eligible would just be icing on the cake!

Trump or Cruz in Iowa…..since it all comes down to local organization…..and the evangelical presence is so strong and so Cruz…I give Cruz the hedge…as to Cruz being eligible for Prez. The case being made against him has merit. Natural born.

Murph–Whom do you think the repubs hate more? Cruz or Trump?
glenn

Toss up.
MurphTheSurf3

It’s so great, glenn, to see the GOP tying itself in ever-tightening knots to justify themselves.
pinkpantheroz
I know the county GOP chair and he is despondent.
MurphTheSurf3
PPO–ain’t that the truth? Although, I suspect, if either one of them is the nominee, we’ll not hear a word about all of this come GE time. Either one of them will just be wonderful for the country, and all that. It’s a miracle, I tell ya!
glenn

I just want to see Rove imploding again as the results come out!
pinkpantheroz
He calls Trump an atttention seeking self aggrandizer and Cruz a nasty ferret.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – Pot to Kettle!
pinkpantheroz
Murph–as well he should be. As we have discussed before, the gop brought this on themselves, and the only ones that can stop it are the grassroots members of the party. Yet, they’re the ones who brought this on themselves. Isn’t that called a gordian knot?
glenn
PPO, I would much rather Rove’s name be relegated to Hell. He’s already done his damage here.
KillgoreTrout
Or a catch 22?
glenn
PPO–I’d like to see rove’s face when the Iowa results come out between the self-seeking aggrandizer and the nasty ferret. Apt descriptions, Murph.
glenn
Glenn….Trump seems to have 35 to 40 percent of the GOP primary crowd and with cruz he dominates the GOP primary grassroots.
MurphTheSurf3
Thanks.
MurphTheSurf3
35 to 40% of 47% is good for us, Murph!
pinkpantheroz

Anyone know when the next gop debate is scheduled? I’m assuming it’s after the Iowa primary. Ought to be interesting. Who will drop out next?
glenn

It is somewhat satisfying that Rove, Cheney can’t leave the country due to fears of international arrest and conviction. They surely deserve the same nature of a court like the Nuremburg Trials. I really believe that. Fuck all this dog an pony show we are cursed with in the States.
KillgoreTrout
KT–I know Cheney and Bush can’t leave the country, but I didn’t know Rove couldn’t either.
glenn

KT…trapped here by their international policy…ironic
MurphTheSurf3
Here’s another question. Will gwb show up at the repub convention to support his brother? Or will jebbie be gone by then?
glenn
glenn, I don’t thik Rove could be held directly accountable, but he was surely a player.
KillgoreTrout
Murph, that is somewhat delicious in in it’s reality.
KillgoreTrout
KT–no doubt rove was a player; and a nasty piece of work he is. But I don’t think he is under the same indictments that gwb and cheney are.
glenn
I’d just love to dee Dubya and Cheney forget and attend an Embassy bash…. and come out in handcuffs!
pinkpantheroz

On another note…Trump at Liberty being heralded by Falwell Jr….scandal plagued, three times married, wealth built on show girls, gambling and booze….Good Lord.
MurphTheSurf3
Oh, yes, Murph, the Evangelicals. How are they managing to bring God into this one?
pinkpantheroz
KT and Murph–yet with our former president and vp not able to leave the country because foreign governments have indicted them; the repubs have the nerve to complain about President Obama’s peace initiatives. Especially the treaty with Iran. I swear, the repubs truly don’t live in reality.

The tweets by Liberty U students afterwards were hysterical.

Murph–and don’t forget 2 corinithians! I watched the tape of that and when trump said that and the people in the audience started laughing, he had no clue what they were laughing at! Even I knew what they were laughing at, but trump thought they were “with” him. What a putz!
glenn
Murph–I didn’t see any of the Liberty U tweets. Can you share the gist of a few?
glenn

For most politicians Glenn….their ally is the short term memory ….of most citizens…..
MurphTheSurf3

Sorry foks, but mu olf comp is a bit unreliable these days, so if I should drop out of an idea or statement, it’s because of the “-” side of tech machines. Other than that. I hope my friends are still here and now.
KillgoreTrout
Murph–You know, I just don’t get that. Especially since some of the trump supporters are around my age. Don’t they remember the history they lived through? I think that’s what makes me shake my head so much sometimes that I get dizzy!
glenn
KT–still here.
glenn
Glenn…they mocked how he quoted scripture, how he did nothing but brag, how his personal life violates every standards at Liberty, how his livelihood in the casinos did the same….how he bragged about crowd size whent they are required to go or pay a fine.

Trump knows the bible, as well as he knows James Joyce.
KillgoreTrout

Murph–oh that’s just wonderful! At least they seem to be smarter than the average repub.

And remember Trump quoted from the books from Matthew,Mark,John,Tiffanie,Goldman, and Sachs.

KT–James Joyce? Isn’t he a furriner?
glenn

KT….he speaks in paragraphs ala Joyce….flow of consciousness without punctuation.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad–and don’t forget about everyone in the audience who read “The Art of the Deal”.
glenn

Damn strait, glenn. A gay Brit and dangerous fellow!
KillgoreTrout
Murph–that’s why he and palin get along–same speaking style. Loved how Trevor Noah nailed it–“Palin hates punctuation more than she hates President Obama.”
glenn
Murph, maybe Sarah got inspiration from ‘Ulysses” and the flow of idiocy.
pinkpantheroz
KT–Well anyone with a woman’s name for a last name has to be gay, doesn’t he?
glenn

KT, errr, Joyce was Irish ( and a relative through my great grand aunt)

On the other hand,Palin has modeled her speech patern on the works of Bizarro Superman.

Okay, my friends, time for me to check out for the night. Going to climb under my nice warm covers and wake up to the beautiful snow. Won’t go out in it; but it’s nice to watch from my nice warm house. Take care, have a great weekend. You all are so good for my ego! G’night!

Oh, No doubt PPO. Did I indicate otherwise? If so, I apologize. I’m of Irish descent. Joyce is a monument in Irish literature. In Literature overall. I’m currently reading “The Dubliners.”

I sure hope Cruz pulls it off but if Trump wins both IA and NH, it will be havoc as the Estab Repubs fight amongst each other to support and fight Trump off.
AdLib7 days ago
It is cool to see Cruz punched out so much in the campaign after all the horrible things he’s done.
AdLib7 days ago
Oh no P.
KillgoreTrout

AdLib7 days ago
Well KT, guess it’s time to wrap up Vox for the night! We’ll be celebrating the life of Glenn Frey in this weekend’s music thread!
AdLib7 days ago
Thanks for you’re contribution to PPO! reality.
KillgoreTrout
Really Ad? Glenn? I won’t be participating.
KillgoreTrout
Why is that?
AdLib7 days ago
Is there something I don’t know about him?
AdLib7 days ago
He once made a statement, in a song, that said that we can;t go back to the Greatful Dead. It was very implicit that the new shape of society put an end to the grateful dead and their ideology. Fuck him! I love Joe Walsh, but I have to agree with the big Lebowski’s Dude. I hate the fuvckin Eagles.
KillgoreTrout
Well that kind of puts a damper on my plans.
AdLib7 days ago
And I do like that line from TBL.
AdLib7 days ago
Sorry Ad, but the death of Geln Fry (spelling?) is no big thing. Eveybody dies, and we wiil too. This celebrity homage to rich mediocre “artists,” does not mean much to me. If you want to immortalize the mediocre, have at it.
KillgoreTrout
I’ll figure it out.
AdLib7 days ago
I commend you for celebrating Bowie. He was a giant. Glenn frye? not so much.
KillgoreTrout
Not anywhere near Bowie.
AdLib7 days ago
how about a theme of, the search for truth and the the condemnation of bullshit.
KillgoreTrout
Do you think there’s enough songs to draw on?
AdLib7 days ago
Like John Lennon’s…”Gimme Some Truth!”
KillgoreTrout
You bet there is. We just have to slow down and really look.
KillgoreTrout
Okay, I’ll play with that to include a wider array of music but use that as a main theme.
AdLib7 days ago
That’s good Ad. This will take you on a great musical sojourn! I love what you do. I think you are a great neccessity
KillgoreTrout
You may start with Lou Reed’s genius.
KillgoreTrout
Not every dead celebrity deserves honoroble mention.
KillgoreTrout
Good pick!
AdLib7 days ago
See you here tomorrow KT! Sleep well!
AdLib7 days ago
I want you to know, whenever you don’t have time, or what, let me know, and I will gladly fillin for the weekend thread. I love dong it, but not if my efforts are postponed. Timing is important. I think that music, should not always be tied to political current events. Just a suggestion.
As a great way to share this experience, PlanetPOV is hosting a live chat (live typed comments) tonight to discuss the night's results as they come in along with everything else this election will bring and what folks think it will mean for the future.
