The terrorist attacks in Paris tonight are so horrible and disturbing. Looking forward to visiting with my fellow Planeteers tonight. Vox Populi begins tonight at 7:00pm PDT, hope to see you then.

Isis doesn’t want to attack the US and kill a few dozen or hundred people because we kill over 30,000 of us a year. Hell the cops kill over 1,200 a year mostly unarmed civilians. They can’t match that. Let the baggers kill each-other! LMAo

Any Americans hurt or killed in Paris? No Aussies reported
pinkpantheroz

Don’t know, early reports aren’t the most reliable.
AdLib 7 days ago
Oz,The band at the concert bombing were an American band
Beatlex

It was a murikkkan concert, probably some of them got shot. 100 dead out of 1200 in a packed theater. scary.
Harleigh

Yep, I saw that. Seems the attck was with guns, then the terrs blew themselves up when the cops arrived.

Can you imagine Trump or Carson in the WH if we were hit by a terrorist attack?

This was an attack planned by Gore to add an aura of danger to the upcoming conference of world leaders. right? Shit, I oughta go work at FAUX!
Harleigh

Adlib,I don’t even want to contemplate it,too scary a thought

ISIS, Ad, is the flavor of the month. You get more coverage if you say you’re ISIS, rather than the Raving Loony Party.

What a sad day. And the rwnj are already nattering nabobs of negativity are talking about BLM, the college students’ protests, and, of course, President Obama. With nary a word of support/sympathy/empathy for the people in Paris. Sigh….

Hi Glenn! Just shows how unAmerican the RW is.
AdLib 7 days ago
Just wait until , hopefully not, an American is reported among the casualties, then watch ’em jump on to the War footing bandwagon
pinkpantheroz

Ad–I know I’m old; but it just saddens me how the rw can turn events into political blather without even thinking. Of course, that is the key…”without thinking.” I just don’t remember such partisanship during other tragedies. Perhaps I wasn’t paying as much attention; but it truly saddens me.
glenn

Oh, we’re headed for more war now. Hillary is going to use this for whipping up for war.
AdLib 7 days ago
PPO–they don’t need any excuses to jump on the war bandwagon. They’re already there. All of this happened because we haven’t bombed enough Middle Eastern countries or people or Muslims or….choose any of the above or, as you say, your flavor of the month. The point is, we just haven’t killed enough people.
glenn

glenn – Has nothing to do with being old, we’ve never seen such fanatics in a major party in our lifetime. I just explained to my daughter today what “fanatic” means to describe the terrorists. Sadly, it describes a lot of the GOP too.
AdLib 7 days ago
last repube debate they named 6 countries we need to bomb/ attack plus russia an china. fuckin whackdoodles.
Harleigh

Ad–I hope she doesn’t, but I fear you’re correct. If she does, and Bernie stays sane, then perhaps it will show how different Bernie and Hillary really are, and those of us who don’t want war will be able to rally others to Bernie.
glenn

glenn- they don’t need an excuse, they’ll how for war whatever the case.
AdLib 7 days ago
I have been monitoring the conversations among the Middle East experts that I look to for wisdom….a common thread…..the cells were set to go waiting for the “GO”……the go was given because of the military action against Daesh/ISIS/ISIL which has their leaders looking for something to focus on that is a “victory” and to open another front.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad–fanatics indeed. When you have a sitting Senator, a governor, and a former governor, all of whom are running for President, attend a gathering where the main speaker calls for the death of gay people, then you indeed do have fanatics. And except for Rachel Maddow, not a word out of the “liberal media.” This is how fanaticism is “normalized”.
glenn

Murph – Yes, that’s what I thought. Also, I don’t know a lot about the suicide bombings outside the stadium but I’d guess they got stopped and discovered trying to get into the stadium and blew themselves up.
AdLib 7 days ago
Hi Murph–and they are phyrric victories, because all they do is make more war. Which is what they want, I know, but so many innocents caught up in it.

After all, wouldn’t they have wanted to be among 80,000 people trapped in a stadium and on international tv when they blew up?
AdLib 7 days ago
Hey Kes, very tough day…except for war mongering Repubs. They’re loving it.
AdLib 7 days ago
hi kes! yeah it’s sad. it will take us a week to kill another couple hundred murikkkkans.

Hey Harleigh!
AdLib 7 days ago
Kes, this way the people killed tonight, would be balanced out by dozens of other gun deaths throughout the year, which would make these deaths easier to bear.

Whatever France does, they should make sure that they totally overreact and build a forever police state to fight a forever war against fear. I hear that’s the solution
