AdLib 7 days ago

AdLib 7 days ago

Hey guys!
Beatlex

How are things, Beatlex?
AdLib 7 days ago

Where is my avie?
Beatlex

You have to upload it to the chat app. Click the icons with 3 lines then your name to upload it.
AdLib 7 days ago

Adlib, wating on the results of my stomach x-rays.The crap they had me drink made me nauseus all day yesterday
Beatlex

That sounds like a pain in the…stomach. Hope the results are good news.
AdLib 7 days ago

It has been going on a while Adlib, test after test
Beatlex

Damn, they can’t figure it out?
AdLib 7 days ago

Adlib.this is about the last thing they can try(I hope)
Beatlex

Hope it works, got to be very frustrating.
AdLib 7 days ago

There you go!
AdLib 7 days ago

Hey slm!
AdLib 7 days ago

got my city fixed too!
Beatlex

Hi Guys. How was everyone’s week.
sillylittleme

Well done Beatlex!
AdLib 7 days ago

Sorry to hear B, hope they figure it out.
sillylittleme

B – Nice pic
sillylittleme

Busy week, slm, need to chill out and relax this weekend.
AdLib 7 days ago

Hear ya. Going to Foxboro to watch the boys practice tomorrow.
sillylittleme

That sounds fun, slm.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ya. We’re supposed to have good weather too.
sillylittleme

My daughter is now watching Sharknado 3.
AdLib 7 days ago

Hey Harleigh, Hey Glenn
sillylittleme

In this one, the sharks have combined DNA with Donald Trump and are eating up every media outlet.
AdLib 7 days ago

Hi guys!
Harleigh

Just kidding.
AdLib 7 days ago

Harls!!
Beatlex

Hey Harleigh!
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad – I was waiting for the punchline

sillylittleme

Hey SLM, hey Beatlex, hey Harleigh, hey AdLib (last but not least)!
glenn

Hey glenn!
AdLib 7 days ago

How goes it Glenn?
sillylittleme

She really is watching it now. It’s all about stunt casting, they cast Ann Coulter as the VP.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad – Really?? Does she get eaten by a shark?
sillylittleme

No, they thought she was one of them.
AdLib 7 days ago

SLM–Got a new smartphone for my birthday! My granddaughter is still teaching me how to use it; but I have most of the smart features figured out. I used to have a flip phone, which I loved, but my daughter and granddaughter wouldn’t let me use it in public, so they bought me a smart phone for my birthday last week.
glenn

I say the US send that killer dentist to Zibabwe! let him rot in a hot prison there, the heartless bastard
Beatlex

Congrats glenn! How fun!
AdLib 7 days ago

Beatlex–what a “he-man”, hey? I read that Zimbabwe is wanting to extradite him.
glenn

Beatlex, I say they send the dentist to the front line war against ISIS. See how he likes getting hunted.
AdLib 7 days ago

Michele Bachmann in Sharknado 3 too. She looks awful.
AdLib 7 days ago

Hey peeps!
KillgoreTrout

Hey KT!
AdLib 7 days ago

Adlib,really,what a coward
Beatlex

Ad–only if they bait the dentist first. What he did was not hunting; it was a set up.
glenn

Hey KT–how goes it?
glenn

Quick bite for dinner.BRB
Beatlex

Glenn – that sounds great, you’ll love it
sillylittleme

So, KY where are you tonight?
glenn

oops KT
glenn

I think that lion murdering dentist should be thrown, screaming, from a helicopter! But that’s just me!
KillgoreTrout

glenn – They can lure the dentist to ISIS with a fake lion costume.
AdLib 7 days ago

Hey KT
sillylittleme

TOO kind KY
Harleigh

Hey glenn, Ad slm, B, Harleigh.
KillgoreTrout

KT
Harleigh

SLM–I already do. Except for the fact that it’s so much bigger than my flip phone and I have difficulty fitting it into my pocket.
glenn

Did you just confuse me with a jelly?

KillgoreTrout

Any truth to the rumor that the dentist is now polling above Trump in the GOP race?
AdLib 7 days ago

Come on now didn’t anyone see “Little Shop of Horrors”? We all know dentists are psychopaths
sillylittleme

Ad–sounds good to me. Or a fake Christian costume; cause he certainly isn’t one!
glenn

FEED ME Seymore!
KillgoreTrout

“Feed me, Seymour!”
AdLib 7 days ago

Glenn – I don’t have that problem. You must have a small tush.

sillylittleme

KT – You beat me to it!
AdLib 7 days ago

Maybe we could take that human shitstain and drop in the lion pen of the San Diego zoo?
KillgoreTrout

LOL!
KillgoreTrout

Is shitstain one word, or two? Anybody?
KillgoreTrout

sillylittleme

I have a parody on cecil… wait fit it…
Harleigh

KT–I would say one word–just doesn’t sound right as two.
glenn

slm – There it is! Perfect! Be a dentist!
AdLib 7 days ago

Why? The lion was no innocent here. What do you think your beloved ‘Cecil’ the lion was doing all day? He was mainly killing and eating zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo, raping the female lions, and killing off baby lion cubs. Hardly an innocent. As far as I’m concerned, it’s Karma. He got what was coming to him.
Harleigh

Thanks glenn, I agree.
KillgoreTrout

Harleigh – passing to you, chill. LOL!!
sillylittleme

Yeah, where does he come off doing what lions do?
KillgoreTrout

Harleigh–

glenn

toka toka thx slm!
Harleigh

Harleigh – And I have it on good authority that Cecil was using a semi-automatic to kill the wildebeast and zebra. And he killed the buffalo with a grenade launcher. Bastard!
AdLib 7 days ago

Oh, I’m still in Ohio, glenn. For the time being.
KillgoreTrout

LOL adlib
Harleigh

Well Ad, those high tech bows are just unreliable.
KillgoreTrout

KT–I agree. After all, it takes about 40 hours for the kill, and even then, you have to waste some bullets.
glenn

Hey Murph!
glenn

KT – No kidding! But grenade launchers are pretty reliable.
AdLib 7 days ago

Greetings, people of the Planet of Points of View.
MurphTheSurf3

Hey Murph!
AdLib 7 days ago

hey murpg
Harleigh

What’s new, Murph?
glenn

Hey Murph
sillylittleme

There was some doosh on Salon yesterday defending this prick, with all her might. She claimed that trophy hunting pays for the conservation of wildlife. Can anybody tell me how subtraction equals addition? Anybody?
KillgoreTrout

Murph’s in the house!
KillgoreTrout

KT – republican math
sillylittleme

KT–It’s the math republicans and douchebags use to make themselves feel better.
glenn

Ah, that must be it slm.
KillgoreTrout

Did you see Hillary take down Bush at the National Urban League conference?
AdLib 7 days ago

hello Harleigh, Silly Little Me, Glenn, Ad Lib, Kilgore Trout and Beatlex! Are you all in mourning over the bloodbath at MSNBC?
MurphTheSurf3

Ad – No what did she say?
sillylittleme

Murph – Who’s left? And did we get KO back?
sillylittleme

Murph, I am deeply saddened by the fact that MSBULLSHIT is keeping Chuck Toad.
KillgoreTrout

COMCAST owns MSNBC so it was expected
Harleigh

Murph–not sure I’d call it a bloodbath, but it certainly will change the “landscape” there. Any word on who will replace those who are leaving?
glenn

That explains a lot Harleigh!
KillgoreTrout

KT…Keeping him? THEY ARE EXPANDING MCCAIN’S STEPSON’S ROLE!
MurphTheSurf3

McCain’s stepson! LOL!
KillgoreTrout

KT – Only morons who work backwards from a wrong conclusion can do that. There is always some moron(s) out there ready to defend people who do the worst thing, they need the attenion even if it is negative.
AdLib 7 days ago

You mean Chuck Todd, whose job is not to ask tough questions?
glenn

Softball Toad?
KillgoreTrout

toddis a not so stealthy bagger
Harleigh

SLM….the “Rev” (although I think he is next) Matthews, Maddow, Hayes, O’Donnell in the late afternoon and evening.
MurphTheSurf3

KT–the toadmaster?
glenn

I can see it now, Trump at bat, it’s the bottom of the 9th, and Toad lobs a soft one, right over the plate!
KillgoreTrout

Glenn…I think that Todd, and Williams are going to play a big role.
MurphTheSurf3

KT–And Trump starts at third base, and claims he hit a home run.
glenn

Murph – Getting rid of Ed and The Cycle is just taking out the trash. I like Alex, she’ll stay around. But MSNBC is such garbage on the whole, except Rachel Maddow, not a huge deal. And more Chuck Todd? Those are not three words any viewer has said.
AdLib 7 days ago

Did they also keep Rush Scarborough?
KillgoreTrout

Murph – well I can skip Matthews and watch Rachel through Larry
sillylittleme

I like Alex too, and Melissa-Harris Perry!
KillgoreTrout

MSNBC started to really suck when Olbermann left. Griffen made sure of that.
Harleigh

Murph–I’m sorry to hear that about Todd. I don’t watch Williams’ show, so don’t know about her.
glenn

Msnbc had to do something, all day and night it was the same stories with different guests
Beatlex

Mathews is just another screecher asshole.
Harleigh

B – that part won’t change
sillylittleme

Ad….Bilart and Roberts are good…..Hayes is a first rate journalist, Maddow is just excellent, and I have warmed up to O’Donnell.
MurphTheSurf3

Harleigh–I loved Olberman’s “Worst Person in the World”. O’Reilly probably holds the record for being named the most!
glenn

Are they still keeping those dreary prison shows on weekends? Man, that is some shitty programming.
KillgoreTrout

Bildo the klown!
Harleigh

Beatlex – Yep, that was a problem of their own making, they decided to just repeat programming with different hosts and I think they’ll continue to do so under the label of “news”. MSNBC is bound for a big decline in viewership when all the non-Chuck Todd fans don’t tune in.
AdLib 7 days ago

KT–Yup–those prison shows and caught on camera! Never watch MSNBC on weekends!
glenn

O’Donell used to writ for the hit TV show West Wing. Great show.
KillgoreTrout

Oh man glenn, they are really bad. I think they’re meant to keep the populace scared straight.
KillgoreTrout

step outta line and don’t follow the “program,” and this is where you’ll end up! Horrible shyte!
KillgoreTrout

KT–didn’t know that about O’Donnell. I only catch his show once in a while; but as Beatlex says, his show was just a repeat of Hayes’ and Maddow’s. He had different guests, but same ol, same ol.
glenn

The Saturday and Sunday shows are very interesting because of their depth and guest line up. Both Kornacki and Perry are first rate moderators.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I don’t know, I’ve seen Hayes look like a totally out of touch nerd when dealing with people who throw him a curve in interviews he wants to go in a specific direction. Roberts is okay but a happy corporate flak at times on his show.
AdLib 7 days ago

glenn, he asks some pretty good questions. I think he’s more Hardball than Hardball Matthews.
KillgoreTrout

Murph–I do like Perry. I read her columns on line, but don’t watch her show.
glenn

Murph – personally cn’t stomach Korny, but usually watch MHP. My man likes that show too.
sillylittleme

I dumped my cable a few years ago, and haven’t really regretted it.
KillgoreTrout

KT–yes, once in a while, O’Donnell does get in a good question.
glenn

the format of picking a topic and have 5 shows in a row on it is awful. sharpton really really sucked.
Harleigh

Think about how many hosts MSNBC has plowed through, including the horrible Ronin Farrow and the usually good Martin Bashir.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad–IMO, Martin Bashir should still have a show. HIs was a bullshit firing!
glenn

There just isn’t enough going on to justify 24/7 news programs. If you want to call them news.
KillgoreTrout

The movie “Network,” anybody?
KillgoreTrout

Lets face it,none of the networks can do much with the state of affairs in Washington,What a gong show
Beatlex

Bashir was first rate and driven out for a lack of good taste…imagine that. Does anyone know what he is doing now? I can find nothing.
MurphTheSurf3

i liked bashir
Harleigh

Harleigh – That’s what corporate thinking brings you. They list the few topics for the day that they think will get the most attention then hammer them in show after show. Boring.
AdLib 7 days ago

i liked Cenk Yugar, but he just wouldn’t tow the corporate line. That’s why I liked him
KillgoreTrout

Beatlex–well, it ought to get interesting with the “debates” coming up. Those republicans just crack me up; they’re so crazy!
glenn

And compare that with Fox News where they just keep adding douches.
AdLib 7 days ago

Hey PPO
sillylittleme

Hey PPO, what’s new?
glenn

KT – You are absolutely right, Network is now reality.
AdLib 7 days ago

What’s funny about the FOX debates is that K-Sick is getting edged out, in his own state.
KillgoreTrout

I don’t even get Fox since I moved, not that I care, but I liked to laugh at Billo and some of the other clowns!
Beatlex

we need a Palin – Bachmann 2016 ticket… but it would now be to the left of the current klown crop. how is that even fuckin possible. honestly.
Harleigh

KT – And he still won’t but TYT still gets seen
sillylittleme

hey everybody. Shivering today.
pinkpantheroz

Beatlex–I don’t ever watch fox, but I always read about their antics on line.
glenn

The MSNBC weekend programming was the result of NBC wanting to do MS on the cheap…and it showed.
MurphTheSurf3

KT – Now they’re saying that K-Sick will qualify for the debate. I can’t believe all the love MSNBC is throwing at K-Sick, it’s nauseating.
AdLib 7 days ago

PPO – wanna trade? 90s and 90 humidity
sillylittleme

Oh, for sure Ad. Paddy Chaevsky was very prescient.
KillgoreTrout

Sure is.
KillgoreTrout

Ad – who is K-sick
sillylittleme

PPO–is it still snowing there?
glenn

I’ll trade the heat, but not the humidity, thanks,SLM!

pinkpantheroz

Forget it Ad
sillylittleme

slm – John Kasich = K-Sick
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad – ya I figured it out. Just a wee bit stoned
sillylittleme

slm, he’s another fanatical RW religious bug a boo.
KillgoreTrout

Yes glenn,, on the upper slopes of the mountains and in the Snow Country
pinkpantheroz

slm!!!!!!!!!
Harleigh

We will be hosting a live chat for the debate next Thursday. Hope you can all be there!
AdLib 7 days ago

During the debate.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad–K-sick may be so. However, at least he implemented O’care in his state. You have to give him credit for that.
glenn

PPO – hope you don’t get the 100 feet of snow we got, obvious exaggeration but the piles made it seem that way
sillylittleme

Live chat on the circus. You bet.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad, can you remind us about Thurs? I’d love to be part of that
pinkpantheroz

Ad – sounds like fun, what time?
sillylittleme

K-Sick said he hasn’t read the Iran deal, then went on to tell everybody exactly what was wrong with it. You know, doom and gloom and nuclear proliferation, and all that. Oh Noooooes, mushroom clouds on the horizon.
KillgoreTrout

PPO – Yep, I will post an article that morning to let everyone know.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad–I’ll try to be there. What time do the debates start?
glenn

i think i told you all i’m becoming a multi millionaire next week with my popcorn futures right?? lol
Harleigh

slm, I think that boston still has more snow left than we have for our season so far!
pinkpantheroz

Hey PPO! Is Trump a real berk, or what?
KillgoreTrout

KT – but deal with climate change, me
sillylittleme

meh
sillylittleme

Harleigh–you and every other Dem who has bought into Orville!
glenn

Hey, KT! Yup, especially about the lactating lady he called ‘disgusting”
pinkpantheroz

Have you all heard that Fox intends to organize the stage such that the persons with the highest ratings will be in the center and then rank them from there to the edge on both sides. Result. Bush and Trump side by side.
MurphTheSurf3

mmmmm popcorn!
KillgoreTrout

got that one right glenn!
Harleigh

PPO – I think it was two weeks ago that they announced that the last snow field had melted, snow fields were where they trucked the city’s snow…
sillylittleme

Murph–that should be funny! Bush and Trump side by side.
glenn

Oh that was terrible. Apparently Trump never realized that’s where milk comes from.
KillgoreTrout

glenn,me too! There is always something stupid going on there
Beatlex

Murph – but who will have the better hair?
sillylittleme

Kt, all his wives gave plastic!
pinkpantheroz

The debate is at 6pm PDT, 9pm EDT.
AdLib 7 days ago

PPO–LOL!
glenn

Mmmmm a silcone treat!
KillgoreTrout

I have read that Bush’s people are VERY unhappy with the arrangement as that means Bush will not be able to take the high ground and ignore Trump.
MurphTheSurf3

SLM–I want to hear Trump speak Spanish!
glenn

glenn, all he has to do is put the letter “O’ after everything! EVEYBODY knows that!
pinkpantheroz

Murph–I think Bush’s people are delusional. No one can ignore Trump; he won’t let you!
glenn

He does glenn. “Mexis make chicas do the dirty.”
KillgoreTrout

I have also read that one of the biggest concerns is how the moderators will be able to hold Trump to the rules. He makes his “nut” by flouting convention.
MurphTheSurf3

PPO–Oh–that’s right, I forgot my Spanish classes! LOL
glenn

KT–You are really bad!
glenn

Trump is really just a money machine for RNC. I don’t think he is really serious about being prez.
KillgoreTrout

Glenn – Si
sillylittleme

Murph–who are the moderators?
glenn

Murph, they need an isolation booth with a kill switch on the microphone!
pinkpantheroz

How about Huckabuck threatening to use federal troops to stop abortions? Jade Helm 16?
KillgoreTrout

glenn – True, K-Sick started out as a total jerk but after losing in popularity after trying to repeat Scott Walker’s attack on unions, he tacked towards the middle. But he’s insincere.
AdLib 7 days ago

kT – LOL
sillylittleme

KT,he is on the Bronc! and he is going to ride it to death
Beatlex

Yeah B, I’m sure he’s having the time of his life. He’s always been an attention whore. The male version of Sarah Palin.
KillgoreTrout

Well – it will be interesting to say the least.
sillylittleme

Ad–K-sick is insincere; I agree. But even if you do the right thing for the wrong reasons, you’re still doing the right thing. I would never, ever vote for him or any other republican, but I believe in giving credit where credit is due.
glenn

The 5 p.m. “kids table” debate for the “also there’s”, which will last an hour, will be moderated by Bill Hemmer and Martha MacCallum. The 9 p.m. debate will run about 90 minutes (two hours with commercial breaks and introductions), and be moderated by Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace. Read more:

MurphTheSurf3

The loser candidates debate themselves at 5p. EST I think. Real 1%ers. LOL
Harleigh

Naw, K-Sick is a snake. Don’t eat that apple.
KillgoreTrout

My post came out weird…..The 5 p.m. debate, which will last an hour, will be moderated by Bill Hemmer and Martha MacCallum. The 9 p.m. debate will run about 90 minutes (two hours with commercial breaks and introductions), and be moderated by Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace.
MurphTheSurf3

That’s better
MurphTheSurf3

I love that Christie can’t crack the top ten! Looks good on him
Beatlex

Murph – So who gets to eat at the adult table?
sillylittleme

Beatle, Christie is one Big Crack!
MurphTheSurf3

Megyn is beautiful…. but the crap she makes up sure gets her well paid at faux
Harleigh

Christie wants to destroy the pot movement. Down the drain you go fat ass.
KillgoreTrout

KT–I’m still trying to figure out if that is a parody–sending in troops to stop abortion. What are they going to do? Kill the mothers? BTW, have you read about that poor woman in AL who may have her fetus taken away by the state because she wants an abortion? I think she’s an inmate at one of the prisons.
glenn

KT – Hear, hear!!
sillylittleme

No one’s going to watch the Kid’s Table debate. Those candidates have been de-selected by Fox News. How perverse and corrupted is our political system when a partisan cable news channel picks who can and can’t run?
AdLib 7 days ago

i guess he wants the troops to into abortion clinics with guns blazing. ?
KillgoreTrout

life IS sacred, don’t ya know!
KillgoreTrout

KT – they’re just pissed that god didn’t give them wombs…
sillylittleme

Ad…and the impotence of the RNC…..Priebus is pissing in his pity pants.
MurphTheSurf3

It will be funny to see Bush and Walker on either side of Trump as he holds court. Like the court jesters.
AdLib 7 days ago

All the GOP candidates are trying to out-Trumpet Trump, and showing themselves for the fools they are.
pinkpantheroz

Ad–so Walker made the “cut”?
glenn

Ad, you know the Trump will engage in constant elbow jabs and digs in both directions.
MurphTheSurf3

Pussy envy?
KillgoreTrout

glenn, that a***hole should be GIVEN the Cut!
pinkpantheroz

I can’t decide who’s more dangerous–Walker or Trump.
glenn

Glenn not sure which pole they used for the rankings. They are all scum.
Harleigh

Murph – Yep, isn’t it clear who controls the party? Fox News, not the RNC. How terrible is that for the RNC? They don’t even control their own party anymore (the others in control include The Kochs and other billionaires).
AdLib 7 days ago

PPO–I agree, but I don’t run foxnews, which, lately, is running the republican party.
glenn

Murph – The way Trump gestures, he’ll elbow Bush and Walker every time he talks.
AdLib 7 days ago

I guess, in a way, we should thank Trump. He’s got the rest of the GOPers toosing their dog whistles and showing their asses.
KillgoreTrout

adlib… adelson
Harleigh

And Fox is owned by Murdoch who belongs to Koch Klub
MurphTheSurf3

Here’s a wager, who here thinks Trump will try to throw everyone a curve and act friendly and thoughtful. That would be the smart play for him, disarming the media and his critics and proposing actual policies. The others would be gobsmacked.
AdLib 7 days ago

I think the debate title and promo is ‘Kochsuckers In Action’.
Harleigh

It has been revealed, through White House records that the real reason Stewart is leaving the Daily Show is because IN FACT, he’s a top CIA official and has a clandestine mission in Uzbeckibeckistan!
KillgoreTrout

KT or back to BENGHAZI!!!
Harleigh

Ad….that is not what has attracted his following….he would be smacked down as a sell out….if the media and his critics do not detest every minute of his time on stage, then he will lose steam….HE WILL GO FULL BORE!
MurphTheSurf3

I won’t take that bet, Ad! He’s canny and cunning enough
pinkpantheroz

Jon and Herman Cain! I Spy, 21st century version!

Maybe the GOP could go at the nominating process more pragmatically in 2020. Like the Academy Award nominations, the Kochs should just go on tv first thing in the morning and open an envelope to announce who they have chosen as the nominee?
AdLib 7 days ago

What’s the attraction with the RWers love of fat ass bullies and billionaires?
KillgoreTrout

Harleigh but his financials are way overblown so you were not totally wrong…..
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – I think if any of them attack Trump, and those wanting attention and better poll numbers will, he will slap back. But he’s not an idiot at negotiating, I think he’ll try to let someone attack him first before he attacks them.

Murph – I saw video of that focus group and they sure seem like the ignorant white people that make up the Tea Party core of the GOP.
AdLib 7 days ago

Trump has to attack…..he has to turn the”debate” into a “roast” or he will look uninformed and silly (which he is).
MurphTheSurf3

Murph–I read on other sites that the participants in that focus group were “guided” to those answers. They were told to say something positive about the candidates. One of them even said she supports Carson, not Trump. Shows the “focus” of that group!

KillgoreTrout

sillylittleme

Murph – That’s very possible but running a Bush would be a total slap in the face to everything the core Repubs believe in right now. Even if it is to fight Hillary, I think many Repubs will bail out of voting if that happens.
AdLib 7 days ago

Huckabee has turned into a horrid little toad….from the rather balanced governor of Arkansas who worked well with both sides of the aisle.
MurphTheSurf3

Ad – I agree I don’t think this is the time for another Bush. And I think a lot of R voters know it.
sillylittleme

Harleigh

slm – Idies can’t vote in the GOP primary so Trump is stuck at 20%. When the field thins, Bush and the other estab Repubs will gain, Trump probably won’t.
AdLib 7 days ago

One thing that Jeb and Hillary have in common: neither feels particularly sincere (real) to me….everything about them has the feeling of being a front.
MurphTheSurf3

Neil DG Tyson made an excellent observation a while back. A man of color would win the White House before a woman could. you think the GOPers don’t like black people, they absolutely do not want a female president. In their tiny minds, that’s more of an abomination than a man…of any color.
KillgoreTrout

Thanks Beatlex and KT! The Huckster wears it just as well as Trump!

MurphTheSurf3

AdLib 7 days ago

Talk about advertising one’s hickishness! I guess that was the idea though.

sillylittleme

KillgoreTrout

Ad- ever since Huckabee left the governorship, 10 rather strong years, in Arkansas he has been drifting further and further right. As governor he made it clear that separation of church and state as essential was illustration by his own time in the executive office.
MurphTheSurf3

Murph – Yep, my daughter was watching the clip of Hillary speaking today and said, “She sounds like a teacher.” And she didn’t mean it as a compliment. And Jebby tried a lame joke today that he delivered so terribly, it was so contrived, he came off as a total phony. Hence, the success of Bernie and Trump.
AdLib 7 days ago

MurphTheSurf3

The huchster loves to try to covince people there is no separation of church and state, and that “murika is a Christian nation. Never mind what the founders actually said about it.
KillgoreTrout

sillylittleme

What if the R’s were actually a viable party? We would have to work hard to beat them.No worries though, they can’t help themselves!
Beatlex

Murph – Huckabee is a human illustration of what corruption looks like. His post political life is reliant on his popularity with exrtremist Christians so he has to pander more and more to them to support his greed. No surprise that he has become more and more hateful, that’s what his core audience is.

funksands

Funk – even if you’re voting for Hill in the primary, it’s really quite amazing how many different issues and combination of issues are attracting people.
sillylittleme

Funk – Hillary is very polished and rehearsed, she looks slick but she avoids tv interviews and big forums. There’s a big reason for that, when she can’t perform in a controlled environment, she’s on thin ice. For that reason the Dem debates will be very interesting. Though, I don’t expect Bernie to attack her, other Dem candidates may and she could get in trouble.
AdLib 7 days ago

Harleigh the thing is that as crazy as you narrative sounds I have acquaintances here who would “make sense”of it readily.

Meanwhile, did you know that Hillary had a Wall Street exec as her deputy at SoS when she started?

THE LION HUNTER….I have such conflicted feelings about the whole thing. I hate the idea of the hunt and it does seem as if there was skullduggery at work. I also hate the idea of virtual lynch mobs on line.

Well murph, lynch mobs react without all the info. This lion killing turd admitted what he did. That lion was far better than the shitheel that murdered him. Just my thoughts.

Murph – Agreed, no lynch mob but all for deporting the dentist for prosecution and letting him become a caged animal.

Funk and Ad….I will vote for whoever the Dems have as their nominee….and frankly everyone running for that honor right now, and I do mean everyone, is a better option than anyone running for the GOP.

Funk – I’m not comfortable because I know she’s bullshitting in the campaign and is a DLCer who will support Wall Street over the 99%. But she will be good on many social issues and would nominate at least a moderate SCOTUS judge. So, she is better than what a Repub would be but not going to be great for Progressives.

X are you guys going to get rid of Harper soon?

Ad….I would accept extradition IF he a case can be made by the government in Africa that would justify it. The man is going to suffer in any case.
MurphTheSurf3

Funk – All indications are that Hillary would support the Keystone XL pipeline, would not be strong on supporting financial oversight lawas or pollution laws, she is a hawk on military issues, she is far more secretive, many issues that would come back to make many unhappy.

Sorry, folks, gotta go. Sorry I couldn’t contribute as much as I’d have liked. see you all next week.

Murph – Yep, as long as the law provides for it, and from what I’ve read it should, he should be sent back there to stand trial for poaching illegally. He saw the collar with the tracker and tried to hide it, proof of his knowledge of the crime he committed.

Hillary refused to state a position on Keystone pipeline. Why would she do that if she flatly opposed it? The Pres has power to approve that.
AdLib 7 days ago

Night Murph!
AdLib 7 days ago

Funk – Which foreign policy stands of Hillary’s are you referring to?
AdLib 7 days ago

I think she may just be trying to have it both ways. Not uncommon when it comes to politicians.
funksands

Oh, any of them! My first question would be: “Do you support regime change as an official tool of your administration”? What will she do re: Syria? Will she continue the never-ending drone war? Will she toe the line on the Iran deal? etc etc
funksands

Funk – Why would she need to have it both ways if she opposed it and was trying to appeal to Progressives? She doesn’t oppose it, that seems pretty clear. She’s taking lots of contributions from the oil industry and Wall Street firms deeply into energy, those interests mean more to her so she won’t step on their toes. And she’s a corporate supporter, so, not surprising.
AdLib 7 days ago

They don’t call it the silly season for nothing my American friends. They just keep going into sillier places
Beatlex

Because she isn’t just trying to appeal to progressives?
funksands

Funk – Those are great questions. But considering how far from forthright she is, I wouldn’t expect a straight answer from her on that. She is a hawk though and in 2008, talked about how she was ready to bomb Iran.
AdLib 7 days ago

Funk – Exactly! Because she isn’t the “Progressive” she’s pretending to be right now. Just the standard pandering that precedes the shift to the middle after the primaries. Cynical and dishonest IMO.
AdLib 7 days ago

Keystone is almost 100% dead anyway. Alberta’s premier is adamantly opposed to it, which is a kiss of death.
funksands

Ad, you are likely correct, but the Democratic party is made of up of a lot of different voters. Progressives simply make up a portion of it. Obama voters that are self-described moderates (by some counts) may actually outnumber those that self-identify as liberals or progressives.
funksands

Funk – Hope you’re right. Even so, the Repubs will be campaigning on that once the Obama Admin refuses to approve it and if asked, I think Hillary will support it. Will it make a difference? I don’t know. But trustworthiness is Hillary’s biggest weakness and there’s a reason for that.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad, your last sentence is the most important one I think. Every time she tries to have it both ways I think it adds to the “rep” that the Clintons have.
funksands

Funk – I don’t know how it breaks down but the polls seem to bear out that a majority of Dems support Progressive values…which are really mainstream values. Gay marriage, taxing the wealthy and ending loopholes, gun control, ets., these are popular among all Americans, not just Dems.
AdLib 7 days ago

I’d just suggest that of Hillary does the standard tack to the middle after the primaries, with her trustworthiness so questionable, she could really hurt herself with core Dem voters.
AdLib 7 days ago

And a lot of them support Keystone too. I think its just an example of Hillary trying to have it both ways without having to commit on an issue. This early in the campaign it doesn’t surprise me. Her challenge will be that her opponent is the antithesis of that. She’ll either need to step it up or she’ll look poorly in comparison
funksands

I agree
funksands

Her path to the nomination is pretty simple IMO. Co-op as much of Bernie’s message that she’s comfortable with, don’t do anything stupid and she’ll probably win.
funksands

Mind you I am talking about a campaign strategy rather than actual policy or governing.
funksands

I think though that the cynical aspect of winning mattering more than standing on core principles may not work as well in this current era. Thoough they may not be well informed on the actual issues, I wonder whether the elecotrate has become aware enough of how pols will say anything to pander and win primaries then betray those promises, to not buy into it as much. The success of Bernie and Trump seems to point to voters being fed up with the usual game pols play.
AdLib 7 days ago

And Hillary is as classic a pandering pol as Bush.
AdLib 7 days ago

Ad, I hope you are right. I’m pretty cynical about the electorate.
funksands

I am almost looking forward to the process
funksands

But wouldn’t you agree that the support of a crusty, socialist, unattractive old man instead of Hillary, speaks to that evolution?
AdLib 7 days ago

Bernie shouldn’t be as popular as he is if Hillary’s classic approach to winning an election was so effective in her party.
AdLib 7 days ago

Maybe. This early in the process I don’t believe much of anything. I’m encouraged though.
funksands

I have the advantage I guess of listening to him take questions on almost any topic for an hour a week for the last 5 years. I feel like I know where he stands. That’s a comfort that I don’t feel about almost any other politician.
funksands

I’d say it’s very different with regards to Bernie because the turnouts to his speeches are the biggest of all candidates. You may get a Herman Cain to be at the top of his party’s polls but he never had the commitment and turnout Bernie gets. Bernie has a true constituency loyal and energized by him. I think that’s different than the early leaders in polls.
AdLib 7 days ago

100,000 supporters turned out to rally at the same time across the nation, And as far as I know, he doesn’t have the money and organization to make that happen himself.
AdLib 7 days ago

BTW, I’m not committed to supporting Bernie at this point but I am very impressed with how energized his supportes are, compared with the supporters of Hillary and the Repubs.
