Frankly right now I am very angry with both the black and hispanic community- where is their outrage? more importantly where are their numbers? why this last minute push to get them to engage? what about young people? JJF…I know folks in Georgia who are part of a system of voter registration developed by GOP and Dems in a bipartisan voter ID bill passed 8 years ago. That system is being dismantled by the GOP in the GA state legislature. Why? It is working too well. GA has had increased participation across the board in all elections since then and that expanded electorate is what has given the Nunn and Carter campaigns their gas. So, we have a Sec of State losing 10’s of thousands of registration, or elminating voting structures that have been in place for 50 years just because (no reason)…..google voter suppression GOP and you get lots of news.

Maryland is Blue. We have some Red pockets, but overall the state is blue. Voting is really easy. Once you register no ID is required – as long as your address is the same. I voted the other day. The poll worker ask for your name and then ask you to give him/her your address and DOB. If it matches, that’s it. You go vote.

JJF….no argument with that…here is my concern…..id systems like Georgias took two years and millions of dollars to put into effect and it worked really well. GOP and Dems are both dishonest about this. Doing it the way GA did it is what is necessary but each has reasons to continue a culture of confusion around this. It is the same with immigration.
