• AdLib : Nite all!

  • AdLib : All Paul and Cruz have is their hatred. No experience, no accomplishments, no history of being good, productive people. They will collapse from being 1-dimensional if up against a Hillary Clinton.

  • AdLib : Thanks Murph, appreciate all you contribute to The Planet as well! Have a great weekend!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad- good summary.

  • AdLib : In 2014, the Repubs had a simplistic, populist message, “Obama has messed it all up, vote for us and we’ll create jobs and save the economy and stop Obamacare from killing your granny!” They won’t have any of that in 2014, maybe having to spend most of the campaign trying to spin how angry people are at them for shutting down the government.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Well…I guess it is time to close down the shop. As always, I value the Planet and the good work you do here.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad…again I hope you are correct – Your electoral philosophy is sunnier than mine.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Barbara Boxer summed up Paul in an interview a couple of days ago: “What. He was in the Senate for Five Minutes and then he was running for President? What has he done? What has he said?”

  • AdLib : Murph – I think the dynamics right now are not typical though. The Repub states have been on such a rampage against women, Latinos, blacks, students, the poor, the middle class…people are really fed up and all the rhetoric that will come from Repubs in 2014 will increase that.

  • AdLib : Murph – That’s reassuring to hear. Cruz is so mercenary that he just needs enough time to show how disgusting he is, and he will. Imagine what he’ll say in the 2016 primary!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad re. 2010- I agree with you…unusual year but in mid term elections the President loses seats- that is the rule and with the Dems not changing their voting culture I fear the results.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad….The Jesse Helms Cruz connection- here in my backyard there has been a huge response among the GOP. There is a growing sense that this guy is really awful. Mo. was a KKK center for years and as several of the guys at the bar I go to said….hell I hate the Dems but I hate the KKK worse and Helms was KKK.

  • AdLib : Yep Murph, lighter than usual. Must be some good movies opening tonight!

  • AdLib : It is fascinating to me how brand new Senators who are baggers, like Cruz and Rand Paul, can come from nowhere to become big figures and Presidential candidates…wit h little to no experience!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Hey Ad….it’s just you and me I think. Lite nite.

  • AdLib : ok

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad Hold on for two minutes I have a quick call….

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Sab So happy you brought up Jesse Helms- that deserves its own discussion. Cruz IS a neanderthal.

  • AdLib : Night Sabreen! I do think the GOP has to go so far right that it celebrates racists to finally turn off that last set of voters who’ve been helping them win despite who they are. Of course, in the racist parts of the South that the SCOTUS thinks don’t exist, they will continue to keep their seats but as a minority party.

  • AdLib : Murph – 2010 was an oddity that can’t be repeated. It was lucky for the Repubs that the economy had been so massively devastated that we were still trying to crawl out of that hole AND the ACA was such a hot button issue with all the lies they had people believing about death panels and government takeover, etc. That simply won’t be the case in 2014, they won’t have those massive distractions to help them hide who they are then. And if they shut down government or default on our debt…it will be a landslide against them

  • Sabreen60 : Well I think I’ll go contemplate on Ted Cruz wanting 100 Senators like Jesse Helms in the Senate. I wonder if Ted Cruz understands to many in his Party he’s considered a minority. President Cruz? Nah. I don’t think the Tea Party will buy it. Good night y’all. Take care.

  • AdLib : Murph – I think the DoJ will win in TX and NC, I think Dems will take back MI, PA and FL and perhaps more. By 2016, we’ll be in even better shape against the Voter ID crap but in 2014, I expect there to be the kind of mobilization we saw in voter ID states in 2012, where turnout was big because people were so angry and determined to vote, they’d wait in line as long as it takes.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Sab You name my concern. Dems have to become concerned about every election – 2010 was “just” a midterm and it has nearly ruined the Obama presidency.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad As always I hope you are correct but the GOP is going to create an environment in which voting is as hard to do as possible for those who will not vote for them. I pray that the DOJ with the courts backing them will push back hard.

  • AdLib : Sabreen – In any polls, you always have to account for about 30% of people as being hard core Repubs. They blame Obama for Katrina, of course they’ll blame him for the Repubs shutting down the government. But they are a minority that would never support Obama in any case, even against commie Russia, so you just have to look past those numbers.

  • Sabreen60 : Murph, I agree. What does it take to whip up Dems? This issue with gun control – how many more schools have to get shot up before Dems are whipped up enough to show up at the polls.

  • AdLib : Murph – Only in an election like this recall will the nutters outnumber Dems. We do need to be organized and motivated in 2014 but I see that happening already. Whether on racial issues, women’s issues, voting rights, you name it, there are a lot of pissed off people out there in the middle and on the left and I think we’ll see a very determined turn out in 2014.

  • AdLib : Murph – Right! Like it!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad and without those whipped up people we will not win…we need the kind of zeal the GOP can produce in a nanosecond

  • AdLib : Murph – “ABAR”?

  • Sabreen60 : AdLib, That doesn’t make me feel so good. 51% pointing a finger at GOP. ONLY 51%. Gee gads.

  • AdLib : Murph – Don’t agree about Colorado, that election was rigged, preventing people from voting by mail and not informing people of where to vote until a week or two before the election. That was not a representative vote, only the most whipped up people would have made it to the polls so not surprising gun nuts won. They would have lost in a regular election.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad A anyone B but A a R republican

  • AdLib : Sabreen – From CNN: “Only a third would consider President Barack Obama responsible for a shutdown, with 51% pointing a finger at the GOP – up from 40% who felt that way earlier this year,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.”

  • Sabreen60 : AdLib, yes. But Democrats are going to have to show up at the polls. Both of these Dems were recalled. So they are no longer on the inside to fight the good fight.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad- I have another friend who has a button she wears. It is Red, White and Blue and has for letters on it A B A R

  • AdLib : Murph – Well done! I think people who want to run for office need to recognize that selling out their principles just to win instantly makes them unworthy of being elected. If that’s the way they are, who needs another unprincipled, compromised politician in office?

  • Sabreen60 : Murph, Absolutely. I couldn’t believe the Dems didn’t come out and both were recalled.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Sab- test case for the public paying attention…the Colorado recall elections….bot h went down….the Dems lack the discipline, the structure, the understanding, the energy to do what needs to be done.

  • AdLib : Sabreen – Yes, it seems like alien mind control, how so many in the MSM have fallen hypnotized by the op-ed attributed to Putin but clearly written by someone he hired. Those are not even Putin’s words! And how can such sudden amnesia take place?! Putin is a horrible, vicious human being who has NEVER acted out of humanitarianism or for peace. Now, just because so many want to avoid an attack on Syria, they forget everything they know about him and Russia???

  • Sabreen60 : AdLib, I’m not so sure. It seems Republicans have not been made to pay a political cost for their obstruction. I’m not sure the American public is paying attention enough. The administration may get the blame.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Nite Glenn- hope you saw my last post to you.

  • AdLib : I hate to say it but part of me wants them to shut down the government, just for a few days. That would turn the rest of the nation so much against the Repubs and baggers, it could give us a Dem House in 2014 and some light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t want people to suffer though but it’s either suffering for a few days or for at least 3 more years.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn…there is a very nice woman in my town who is running in a byelection this November for a seat on a local board. I told her if she ran as an Independent or a Democrat I would vote for her (she is bright and reasonable). She said that she needed to run as a Republican to get support. I told her that I was sorry but I am not giving the GOP a single vote on a single issue in a single election for a single person until the party reforms. I also told her that if she gets an opponent who is an I or a D, that person will get my outright support. AND then I say- I was a member of your party and it drive me out the door.

  • Sabreen60 : I am probably as pissed with the media as I am with the Republicans. The media, including MSMBC seems to do be doing everything possible to discredit the PBO and his administration. Even glorifying Putin – never thought I would see this in my lifetime.

  • AdLib : Night glenn!

  • AdLib : Sabreen – Will read the article in full later but just skimmed it and I do agree that the GOP game plan for some time has been to do everything they can to sabotage Dem Presidents (even impeach them). It also seems to be a get-even mentality after Nixon was impeached and resigned, they so badly want to make that happen to a Dem President.

  • Sabreen60 : Good night, glenn.

  • glenn : Okay, I really am leaving now. I always read VOX sometime on Saturdays, so I’ll be able to catch up with you all then. Take care, all.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad LIb…B has given up on the Hastert rule four times…I think it comes down to this….he can hold onto his Speakership as a simpering sycophant until 2014 and then get kicked to the curb OR he can be bold and try to recraft the office. I agree with you. He lacks courage.

  • glenn : Murph–I agree. I always voted a mixture of Dem and republican. Not anymore–I wouldn’t vote for a republican if he/she paid me. And I wouldn’t even THINK of voting for a teapartier.

  • AdLib : glenn – Big cheers for Hailey! Way to go! Have a great weekend!

  • AdLib : Sabreen – I wonder…might Boehner see that this is his last term as Speaker and work with Dems? Or will he continue to be the weak, crying, conformist he’s been and stay the bagger course to ruin? I think the odds are with the latter. The only other way out may be if enough corporate CEOs who are Repubs come down hard on baggers and threaten them enough, maybe they will bend.

  • glenn : Ad–I find it difficult to label someone as truly “evil”, but I am beginning to believe you’re right. There really is no other explanation–exc ept, I guess–“power corrupts”.

  • Sabreen60 : I came across this article back in 2010. But it still applies to Republicans. They haven’t changed since FDR. «link»

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn…I was GOP on the national level through George HW Bush–when he was stabbed in the back by his party because he raised taxes to pay for a war and did not go for Baghdad just because that was not a strategic goal. So I went for Clinton and then, with my nose clamped for Gore and then happily for Kerry and then enthusiastically for Obama. I also tended to vote GOP for the Senate and Dem locally and in state wide office. Today I am Dem from the dog catcher up.

  • AdLib : glenn – Actually, I see these baggers as something truly different and…evil. They want bad things to happen to most Americans, to our nation and our President. Much as I couldn’t stand Newt and his ilk, they seem like a mild version of the anarchists now wagging the dog in the GOP.

  • glenn : She scored both of her team’s goals last week!

  • glenn : Alright folks–soccer tomorrow, so time for my good night. By the way, although my little athlete’s team lost, she scored BOTH of her team’s goals. Go Hailey!

  • AdLib : Murph – Do you think Boehner will commit “treason” and work with Dems or will feel he has to abide by the Hastert rule and go down with the Bagger Titanic?

  • Sabreen60 : Maybe Boehner has a Red Line. Maybe he won’t do *anything* to keep his Speakership. I’m waiting for him to say eff it. I’ve had enough. He knows that he can get something done with Dems. It may cost him the Speakership, but at least he won’t go down as totally ineffective.

  • AdLib : Sabreen – My pleasure! Glad it worked!

  • glenn : Ad–Sometimes I really think I’m in a time warp. The repubs have been saying the same things for 30 years, yet when they get in power, they never do anything about the deficit, except blow it up, then when they get voted out because they blew up the deficit, they cry about the Democrat in office adding to the already blown up deficit. Never a new idea or a new thought.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad Lib- your and my reading is pretty much the same.

  • AdLib : Murph – I saw the article that described it as Boehner asking Obama to “Please let me take you hostage.” Boehner is pretty worthless, he can’t push agreements through the House and he knows it. He’s very desperate and if you ask me, his best path to saving what’s left of the GOP is to do as you say, hold his nose and get Pelosi and Dems to support the CR and debt ceiling agreements and at least he won’t go down as Speaker when the GOP imploded for decades.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn…I have moved into profound disgust at the GOTP hate campaign.

  • Sabreen60 : AdLib you’re a genius!

  • Sabreen60 : Ok, AdLib I updated Flash

  • glenn : Murph–Don’t you just “love” Boehner? NOW, he wants to work with Dems and the President? He’s such a funny, orange man.

  • AdLib : glenn – Repubs are mindless, they rail against the debt and insist it’s going up a trillion a year even though it’s been going down. They have nothing else but RW views on social issues so since that’s all they’ve got, I think they’ll just continue to howl about the deficit, how horrible the poor are and how we should cut them off along with the “takers” on SS and Medicare. They are hollowed out, that’s all they’ve got.

  • glenn : Ad–I agree–that’s probably the most likely outcome–hot potato. In the meantime, though, if they don’t pass the CR–doesn’t that, in effect, shut the government down? So, while the r/tps in the House and Senate are playing games, people will be hurting even more. I think they have to do something then. I don’t know–I can’t figure them out–I don’t even know why they hate Obamacare.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad Lib «link» “With Congress momentarily freed from the Syrian crisis, lawmakers plunged back into their bitter fiscal standoff on Thursday as Speaker John A. Boehner appealed to the Obama administration and Democratic leaders to help him resolve divisions in the Republican ranks that could lead to a government shutdown by month’s end. “

  • AdLib : Murph – Of course there’s a chance, maybe the push by baggers to fire him and staring down the impending end of his Speakership could push him in that direction. But I have never seen any whiff of courage in the man, just the opposite. So my bet would be he will try to weasel an agreement through the House on the CR and on the debt ceiling.

  • glenn : Ad–If the tp’s actually do get their way, and the sequester cuts stay, the only ray of hope I see is they can’t complain about the debt ceiling and government spending any more. I know they’ll find something else to hate about government, because that’s their nature, but they’ll finally have to come up with a new “idea” that they haven’t been spouting for 30 years now.

  • AdLib : glenn – Oh, I see! Well, I still don’t see why the Repubs couldn’t play Hot Potato further and send a bill back to the Senate after that.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad Lib….any chance that Boehner adopts my path to heroism…Boehne r as bipartisan Speaker.

  • AdLib : Night AB, always too brief but so glad you were here!

  • AdLib : Murph – They ain’t seen nothin’ yet! I see a real possibility of a brutal public battle in the GOP after the inevitable CR and debt ceiling failures. The baggers going for the throat of Boehner and the establishment Repubs trying to fight them off. It could be a real spectacle. There is no way Obama or Dems will budge on Obamacare so there is only one conclusion, whether the Repubs commit suicide by shutting down government and defaulting for a while or not, they will have to eventually fold and that will be the ultimate explosion within the GOP.

  • glenn : ‘Night AB–always nice “chatting” with you. Have a great weekend.

  • Sabreen60 : Bye AB

  • glenn : Ad–or something like that. I’m not really sure I understood the whole thing–and I’m not sure we have enough Dems to actually “stand up” to the saboteurs.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Bye AB

  • AlphaBitch : Adios, fair peeps. I’ve got to turn in. Can’t even type straight right now. Mwah!

  • glenn : Ad–From the way I understand it, the bill would originate in the Senate, and they would “toss it” to the House for voting. So, if the House votes it down, they get the “credit” for shutting down the government, because Obamacare is no longer involved.

  • AlphaBitch : Murph – and that makes it different than usual because…????? They are sullen, selfish poops all the time here.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad…my contacts in the GOP here in Missouri are sullen, and depressed.

  • AlphaBitch : Half priced cow pie don’t make it a moon pie baby.

  • AdLib : AB – That’s right! Half priced cow pie still ain’t no treat!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB Glenn…got it.

  • AdLib : Murph – Yes, I saw one of those cheap “Fire Boehner” ads on MSNBC and was amused. The GOP may have thought that the CR and debt ceiling would be useful against Dems but it could just destroy the GOP!

  • glenn : Murph–cruz is supposed to speak at some republican event–called something like the “regan foundation” or something like that. The organizers have announced that they have discounted the tickets 25%, because “they want to give people value” or some schtick like that.

  • AlphaBitch : I heard Cruz is giving a Reagan speech for Republicans and he has slashed ticket costs. One of my Austin friends called me about it, laughing.

  • AdLib : glenn – I like that scenario but what’s to stop the Repubs from just coming back with deeper cuts in a CR that doesn’t contain the anti-Obamacare stuff?

  • AlphaBitch : And according to Stephanie Miller, a paisley bathrobe in college that he would wear while strolling the girls dorm halls. EEEUUWWW.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB- did I miss something…a fundraiser….re agan theme…empty seats…what?

  • glenn : AB–a turd at half-price with half-assed “ideas”?

  • AdLib : Sabreen, the chat system uses Flash player. You may have to restart your computer if it’s having a problem. Just make sure you have Flash Player updated to the most recent version and that should hopefully solve it.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn….they are AND Boehner IS reaching out to the Dems for help- in public even!

  • AlphaBitch : Just sayin, if the word Reagan is in your fundraiser and you have to discount tix to fill seats, you gots a problem.

  • glenn : Murph–I saw those same ads on another channel. Are those the ones that are talking about “firing” boehner as speaker?

  • AlphaBitch : A turd at half price is still sh*t??

  • AdLib : AB – 25% off crap still ain’t no deal.

  • AlphaBitch : Sabreen! Don’t let your man “fits” your ‘tomputer before VOX. No deal

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad Lib…The GOP have become the party of Serial Hostage Taking…..They take something hostage like the Debut Ceiling in order to keep the Sequester or Postpone Obamacare…the thing is that it is working less and less well. MSNBC is running a whole bunch of ads now whose theme is Boehner Sucks send us Money so we can get him.

  • glenn : Ad–I try to get info. from a lot of sources, so I was reading an article at Talking Points Memo today, and here’s what one of the writers said about that–“The GOP fear is if Cruz and Lee get their way, and the House passes a stopgap measure that demands Obamacare be defunded, Senate Democrats will have political cover not only to restore the health care law’s funding but also to raise the overall spending level before tossing it back into the House’s lap. In that scenario, Republican leaders may have little choice but to accept a higher spending level or shut down the government.” It was written by Sahil Kapur

  • AlphaBitch : Take Me, Syriasly.

  • Sabreen60 : AdLib, I can see you. I can see my comments, only after I do an F5 to refresh.

  • AdLib : AB – That could be Assad’s autobiography, “Take Me Syriasly.”

  • AlphaBitch : What-ever. Baggers deserve none of my attention. Hey – heard Ted Crazypants Cruz is offering tix to his Reagan Republican talk at a disoount (oops – just typed that without an “o” – Freudian?)

  • Sabreen60 : Nope. Didn’t work. Hubby “fixed” my computer this evening. So…. :)

  • AdLib : Hey Sabreen, we can see you just like the NSA, can you see us?

  • AlphaBitch : Ad Didn’t you like my SYRIAsly? I think I need to make a new tee shirt SYRIASLY – Obama was right.

  • AdLib : So what do folks here think, will the Baggers hold out and force a government shutdown or default on our debt to pursue their delusion of ending Obamacare?

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Sab- you are here.

  • glenn : Sabreen–I “see” you.

  • Sabreen60 : Ok, Lets see if my maintenance worked.

  • AdLib : AB – Yes! The perfect sense-memory trick for doing McCain! Terrible constipation! That’s it! You’re a genius!

  • AlphaBitch : Ad – eat cheese for three weeks and NO FIBER. That’ll do it.

  • glenn : AB–Yucky (but true) image!

  • AdLib : glenn – I’ll just have to imagine the word “grimace” while I write and I should be fine.

  • AlphaBitch : McCain = Cotton Hill (from King of

  • AlphaBitch : Ad – you have to dart your tongue out of your mouth and suck spit. Bothers me no end.

  • glenn : Ad–I did, I loved it, and commented on it earlier tonight. I think you could “channel” McCain just as well.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn….Mc the dull knife…yes

  • AdLib : Murph – I’m practicing my snarl already!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad Lib Do the MCCAIN….how well do you snarl…..

  • AdLib : glenn – You saw my Palin op-ed?

  • glenn : Ad–good idea on the McCain article.

  • AdLib : “How do you say, ‘Get off my lawn!’ in Russian?”

  • glenn : Murph–I really don’t think McCain knows much, except “war, war, war” and “I didn’t make a mistake when I chose the Palindora box of lunacy for my vp.”

  • AdLib : Actually, maybe I should write a McCain Op-ed too!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad but your Palin op ed is better than what either could do.

  • AdLib : glenn – Well, I knew one of the McCain/Palin team would write an op-ed for Pravda.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn…do you think McCain knows that Pravda is now a shadow of its former self (about 1/5 of its pre Yeltsin readership) and is regarded as a cranky newspaper now? I doubt it.

  • Sabreen60 : AdLib, will do. BBL

  • AlphaBitch : Murph – I will let you know on TOOT as soon as I hear!

  • AdLib : Sabreen – Try clearing your cache and restarting your browser.

  • glenn : Speaking of “journalists”- -how about McCain, who’s going to write an article in Pravda? So glad to see we have “evolved” into politicians writing op ed pieces instead of just ranting on t.v.

  • AlphaBitch : Ad – Maher has beady eyes and thin lips. Either really teeny tiny T-Rex hands or humoungous ones he is trying to hide….

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB Let’s keep our ears the ground.

  • AlphaBitch : Agree, Ad. But that one was a gem.

  • AlphaBitch : i’m having delayed popping at new posts.

  • AdLib : AB – I watch Maher but he is at times surprisingly uninformed and misogynist.

  • Sabreen60 : For some reason I have to refresh the page before my comment appears. So this is a test.

  • AlphaBitch : Liberals don’t want people to suffer. Period.

  • AlphaBitch : Me too Murph. I did get SMS as a podcast, and listen to it daily. Great $5/month bargain.

  • AdLib : Sabreen – My POV is that these people are necessarily NOT liberal because such views aren’t. Liberals don’t want poor people to go without health care, they simply don’t.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB…I really miss Stephanie Miller and John Fugelsang. I had already missed Jennifer Granholm. I hope to see both Stephanie and John on tv somewhere soon.

  • AlphaBitch : No kidding Ad! Or “So You Think You Are A Suckup” as a winning contestant.

  • AlphaBitch : Not a huge fan of Maher, but that was a good one….

  • glenn : Sabreen–read that article today. Don’t know if it was you or CL who mentioned TPV before, but I have been going to the site and I’m enjoying it.

  • AdLib : AB – NBC might do better moving Gregory to hosting “So You Think You Can Broadcast” as one of the losing contestants.

  • AlphaBitch : Bill Maher just coined a word “Blacktrack” for when you change your mind/stance on something because Obama is for it.

  • Sabreen60 : This is a good article by Spandan at TPV – Liberals without a Conscience. The article previous to this one is good also. «link»

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn- the internet is a place of great truth and great lies, democracy at its best and tyranny at its worst, the difference in the experience lies in the on-line community you have that helps to frame what you are seeing.

  • AlphaBitch : Hey Murph – heard Fugelsang might have a TV deal. don’t know much about it yet. My dream is he would replace “Meet the Gregory”

  • glenn : Ad–is DirecTV anti-American because it carries AlJazeera? Just wondering.

  • AdLib : Murph – Yep, the only thing Progressive about them is their mental illness.

  • glenn : Murph–You know, I love the internet because through it I have found people like you and the others here on the Planet. I also hate the internet because it allows these zealots to be heard. I often think that we never heard so much about them. And, then again, I often think that maybe it’s just because I’m paying more attention nowadays. Just some random thoughts.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad – these Dems really believe in the value of ritual immolation (except they are throwing others on the pyre). As I just said to Glenn…zealots from the left or right only have different goals.

  • AlphaBitch : Will do Murph. Blov isn’t with me on this one; may not happen, but thinking about it.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB- take care re. giving up your employee plan- there are traps in the system for those who do this. In some case the costs are significant. Read well and get advice.

  • AdLib : Hey Sabreen!

  • AlphaBitch : I know. It’s just that one of us in the household has an employee discount. Just sayin.

  • AdLib : glenn – Great minds think alike!

  • glenn : Hi Sabreen!

  • AdLib : AB – Well done! Try the anti-American Directv, they carry AJA.

  • AlphaBitch : Hi Sabreen! Happy 13th day to you!

  • AlphaBitch : Got it Ad. I know. I’m considering giving up our employee health care and just doing an exchange out of spite. That’ me.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn- yes, unreasoning, uncompromising zealots from the right or the left act very much alike- they just have different goals.

  • Sabreen60 : RatsPutin! Happy Friday the 13th.

  • AdLib : AB – CL can talk better to this but I believe the big scheme is to let the exchanges succeed then they can segue into single payer and merge with each state’s program into a national one.

  • AlphaBitch : Then let them be thirsty. But damn if I will be.

  • glenn : Murph–it’s got to be hard to ‘splain to people who won’t listen.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB- I am with you but you and I know that sometimes you don’t get a full glass of milk so you settle for the half glass. Their attitude is its better to go thirsty.

  • AlphaBitch : Murph – tell them to take their toys and go one home now. If you can’t help the situation, then go on. I vote them out of your room.

  • glenn : Ad–you and I almost posted the same thing.

  • glenn : Murph–so in other words, they’re just like the r/tps who want to shut the government down over Obamacare. They didn’t get everything they wanted and so they’re going to pout!

  • AlphaBitch : I called AT&T about cancelling so that we can get Al Jazeera America. They could not believe I would consider it. Oh yeah I am!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Glenn- my “splaing” gift fell on deaf ears tonight.

  • AdLib : So Murph, these “Dems” would rather 30 million Americans go without health coverage? How can you map that kind of logic? They have the same goal as Tea Baggers!

  • AlphaBitch : I want Obama to sign an EO allowing a Public Option w/ same benes as congress. That’s how single payer I am!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Ad…nope a meeting of area activists….I was the featured presenter…and they were hostile from the start. Their position is that we have to let the house burn down anything else is just putting a little water on the inferno.

  • glenn : Hey Murph–I don’t care what those “real Dems” call you–you’ll always be the “Secretary of ‘Splainin” to me. You always know the answers to any questions I ask.

  • AdLib : Murph – “Real Dems” are the same as Palin’s “Real Americans” and hard to tell apart.

  • AlphaBitch : dust yourself off and get back to work, Mr.

  • AlphaBitch : Ad – one of my Afghans was upset when a host family was mocking a unibrow. In their culture, it has positive connotations. Weird….In our culture, it looks menacing.

  • MurphTheSurf3 : AB…They howled me right out a room…literally got tossed out on my ear.

  • AdLib : Hey Murph! Were these emoprogs on HP?

  • AlphaBitch : Murph – let ’em howl. You are doing amazing things. I’ve mentioned you to friends.

  • AdLib : AB – I absolutely subscribe to beady eyes and thin lips on a guy being an indication of someone who shouldn’t be trusted. It’s not an absolute but it’s not a bad rule of thumb.

  • glenn : AB–I like that–more hair product!

  • MurphTheSurf3 : Greetings All…I have now been labeled a Blue Dog Dem by a group of “Real Dems” who regard my willingness to be a Navigator for Obamcare as selling out. Its Single Payer, Medicare For all or Nothing! Really frustrated. Memories of trying to deal with Occupy.

  • AlphaBitch : glenn – never trust a man who wears more hair product than you.

  • AlphaBitch : glenn – he is a little “mooby”, right?

  • glenn : AB–Oh, I just hate thin lips–never trust a man with thin lips!

  • glenn : AB–Personally, I think he needs a bra.

  • AdLib : AB – Yes, got your email and am checking them out. Very cool so far…

  • AlphaBitch : I think Pooty Pootin’ is a tad off. Anyone who has a need to show his nipples that much. Plus he looks like a mongoose or some rodent – beady eyes, a little too close together, thin lips. NOT a “looker”.

  • glenn : Ad and AB–And here I thought “nailin Palin” meant she was being nailed onto something, like a cross, so she could play “victim” some more.

  • AlphaBitch : Ha – like you just “heard” that, Ad??

  • glenn : So, AB–tell us how you really feel about Rats Putin’s strength and all those muscles!

  • AdLib : AB – I think Nailin’ Palin was a porno starring a Palin look-a-like. At least that’s what I’m told…trust me!

  • AlphaBitch : So Ad – did you get my email on the Syrian groups?

  • AdLib : glenn – You betcha!

  • AlphaBitch : Ad – I loved it when you channeled the Big Guy himself, but you totally nailed Palin. Nailin Palin? Is that what it’s called….

  • glenn : AB–Yeah, but you know what “they” say about “early” and the worm.

  • AlphaBitch : He Ad. Just sayin, it’d be a shame if a fire happened and Chris Christie had to go to Obama who he paired up with before he stabbed him in the back. Just sayin.

  • AdLib : Evening glenn! Happy Friday the 13th to you too! Look out for that black cat!

  • glenn : Hey Ad–could you do some more sarah palin for us? I think you pretty much nailed her; you just missed a few run-on sentences.

  • AlphaBitch : I’m early because I leave early. YOU are even earlier than me.

  • AdLib : Hey AB! You could always say “Hi!” but one is more fun than the other. Or corny?

  • AlphaBitch : Hi glenn. Friday the 13th it is. Today sure seemed like it…

  • glenn : AB–Hey, you’re early tonight, like me!

  • glenn : Hi, Ratsputin and happy Friday the 13th!

  • AlphaBitch : Syriasly? I have to say Rats Putin?

  • AdLib : Don’t forget to say “Hi!” or “RatsPutin!” when you arrive!

  • AdLib : Vox Populi, our live chat about the week’s events begins tonight at 7 pm PST. Hope to see you then!
