• AdLib : My pleasure, night!

  • Questinia : Nite, Adlib. Thanks for everything!

  • AdLib : Will do!

  • Questinia : Please smooch Hunter. Oh, please!!!

  • AdLib : Sounds wonderful. I’ll tell Hunter. Sleep well!

  • Questinia : Must retire! Will write soon and show you some more dogs from Nantucket. Including this ol’ golden on the beach, running…

  • AdLib : Exactly. When RatAgain has people on like T. Boone Pickens and other corporate types, he lets them use him as a foot rest.

  • Questinia : My dear, it’s late here and I am to NYC early tomorrow.

  • Questinia : In other words, he’s there for ratings. Right?

  • AdLib : Actually, I’m a big fan of Thurber. As a tribute to his father, KO reads a chapter of a Thurber story at the end of his show on Fridays.

  • AdLib : RatAgain is an MSNBC host that’s on earlier, who attacks Obama and the Dems incessantly. But he’s a phony populist under the guise of being a Purist Dem. He’s a Repub in Dem clothing.

  • Questinia : What is up with Thurber? He lived around here btw (Ct.)

  • AdLib : You could ask him if maybe some Friday, instead of Thurber, he could read a chapter from Fight Club.

  • Questinia : Who’s Dylan Ratigan :| ?

  • Questinia : Ha! I will. I’ll also ask him if he snorts butter buds. That’s how he gets his moxy (moxie?)

  • AdLib : Actually, you could ask him if Dylan Ratigan always eats the last donut.

  • AdLib : Ask him if he uses butter buds on his hair.

  • Questinia : I’ll bet he’s a butter buds FREAK!

  • Questinia : It’s going to be very relaxed atmophere. I’ll ask him about butter buds.

  • AdLib : Just joking.

  • AdLib : Maybe you could ask him if Arianna is creepier in person?

  • AdLib : Very cool, let me think, many questions come to mind.

  • Questinia : I just hope I don’t say anything that makes me worst person in the world. Need to stay away from the sangria.

  • Questinia : I might be meeting Keith olbermann this Saturday. Want me to ask him any questions?

  • Questinia : It’s raining there right?

  • Questinia : Good!

  • AdLib : Dems and especially Latinos are very energized in CA. Brown and Boxer have solidified leads over the last couple of weeks. Boxer’s seat is no longer considered a toss up.

  • Questinia : I guess you’re right. I always think one person doesn’t have that much power.

  • AdLib : Christine will be a talking head on Fox for all to be amused by after the election. So, we will get to hear her lunacy without her having power over our lives.

  • Questinia : Margin of error? I think that’s what they meant, it’s leaning Dem but… those aren’t big diffs

  • AdLib : Two polls from last Wednesday: Reuters/Ipsos – Brown 48, Whitman 44 Brown +4 California AND Rasmussen Reports – Brown 50, Whitman 44 – Brown +6

  • Questinia : There’s an evil pixie side to me that wants Chrissy to win.. just for the entertainment value. I think she’s so unformed and such a “dabbler” she may be get wise. What do you think?

  • AdLib : Double, double, toil and trouble. That’s a description of Christine’s campaign.

  • Questinia : She uses eye of Gingrich and butter buds

  • Questinia : Christine hasn’t completed her spell yet.

  • AdLib : Boxer is ahead by around 6-8 and Brown is ahead by about the same.

  • Questinia : I saw it on the PBS Newshour.

  • AdLib : Nope, going all Dem in Nov. Just MSM BS that Repubs can win.

  • Questinia : What is up with Cali? It’s a swing state now?

  • AdLib : We’re trying to make butter buds legal here in Cali.

  • Questinia : Will this get back to the conversation about “pasties”?

  • Questinia : And NOT with butter buds. Although butter buds, hmmm who knows about butter buds.

  • AdLib : Mmm…it’s buttered too!

  • Questinia : Popcorn now on!

  • AdLib : The popcorn should keep popping!

  • Questinia : Whoops, have the popcorn sound effect turned off. Reading pepe

  • AdLib : Howdy!

  • Questinia : Hi!

  • AdLib : Thanks Patsy! And the best back to you and the family! Night!

  • PatsyT : All righty then…. All the best to you and yours

  • AdLib : Yep. looks like we’re closing the bar tonight. Sleep well Patsy and have a great weekend. And don’t forget to check my timing belt!

  • PatsyT : Well Time to turn in …

  • PatsyT : Oooo great thanks I am so glad they are making progress … Now how about the rest of this country?

  • AdLib : Here’s the link for the NYT article from two weeks ago: «link»

  • AdLib : Patsy – Adobe Systems (Acrobat, Flash, etc.) just installed Bloom boxes. From the NYT: “Adobe has put a dozen 100-kilowatt Bloom Energy fuel cells on top of a parking garage that will supply nearly a third of the three-tower complex’s electricity. It will be the nation’s largest installation of Bloom Energy Servers, a cutting-edge solid oxide fuel cell that has been bought by Google, eBay and other big corporations.”

  • boomer1949 : Tanks guys. See you on the other or over the weekend…

  • AdLib : Night Boomer! Have a great weekend and sleep well!

  • boomer1949 : Oh AdLib, you’ve seen my ugle mug?

  • AdLib : Kes – I just made the hole. The Website jest fell in.

  • PatsyT : All the best Boomer…

  • boomer1949 : Okay peeps, the kids are coming in tomorrow. Gotta’ be wide eyed and bushy tailed by 10 EDT. This time thing really messes with my already messed up head.

  • PatsyT : Is that a spider web sight

  • PatsyT : a hole ??? very funny!! LOLO

  • PatsyT : Hey any news from the Bloom Box People?

  • AdLib : Boomer – MW girls really knock me out, they leave the West behind.

  • kesmarn : Dangnation. You are pure jeenyus. No wunder you are the Administur of a hole web sight.

  • PatsyT : Jest take out the window

  • boomer1949 : AdLib, Sacrifice is a Bitch dont’cha’ know? But…us MW girls are really, really…sweet.

  • AdLib : Night Kes, lots of fun, sleep well and have a great weekend!

  • AdLib : My dawg will hump any open beer can, not a good idea to have him in the car when I’m drivin’. What I was thinkin’ is filling the windshield wiper tank with beer and stickin’ my head out the window to drink it when I spray it. Whudja think?

  • PatsyT : OK Kes Nighty night then…

  • kesmarn : And now that I’ve manage to become completely schizophrenic, I guess I’d better take a moment, while I’m kes and not Billy Bob, to say good night. It’s been great fun.

  • boomer1949 : kes, i hope you don’t fill out charts the same way!

  • PatsyT : Hey jest have more young uns

  • kesmarn : Well, dang, that ruins my other ideer. I wuz gonna say use yer kid to hold yer beer. But dang yer dog went an et ‘im. Welll…kin yer dawg hold yer beer while ya drive. You kin tell the cops it warn’t yer beer atall. It were his’n.

  • AdLib : Kes – Reminds me of how just two years ago, George Allen lost his Senate race for saying “macaca”. This year, he’d get $16 million in donations the next week after saying it. What shocks people today can become tame the next time around.

  • kesmarn : I agree, AdLib. Just because the big cash infusion may not always work is no reason to allow the situation to continue. We still need to work hard to put the brakes on this.

  • AdLib : Kes – My pitbull ate my beerhat. Guess you’ve heard that sentance a million times before but it’s true, li’l bastard dog! He ate one of my kids too, cain’t member which one though.

  • AdLib : Boomer – Your sacrifice is very appreciated Boomer! So pleased to have you here tonight!

  • kesmarn : Aint you guys ever seed a Bud baseball cap. Beer can holders over each ear and plastic tubes leadin’ right down inta yer mouth. You kin drive bee-ootiful with one a them.

  • boomer1949 : AdLib — sock monkies made no sense to me when I was a little kid, but oh dear, when I saw the old farts carrying them during the primaries & campaign, man the light bulb lit the brain.

  • AdLib : Kes – It would be great if the huge amount of anonymous cash ends in failure for many candidates but I’m afraid that by next cycle, it may just be taken for granted. That’s why moving the DISCLOSE Act forward…and hopefully TIPA and other laws to control this spending is desperately needed before 2012.

  • PatsyT : Yes Boomer Ohio Girls are the Best !

  • PatsyT : Jest Chug It !

  • AdLib : Patsy – I’m drivin’! Cain’t be de-stracted like that when I’ve got a chili fries on my lap!

  • boomer1949 : OT — do you West Coast folks realize the sacrifices those of East of the Sierra Nevada’s make most Friday?

  • kesmarn : One theme that may emerge, too, regarding the $$$, is that huge amounts of cash may NOT actually be able to buy an election. It doesn’t seem to be working for Whitman. Iott in this area is very wealthy and has really outspent Kaptur, but she’s way ahead. No guarantees!

  • PatsyT : Smash it on yur forhead Come on Man Up

  • AdLib : Patsy – At the least, make sure my cup holder’s installed, where else will I put my Bud when I’m drivin’?

  • PatsyT : The mystery campaign money thing polls very well – No one wants these shadowy donors in charge

  • kesmarn : Ralph, I know jes’ where you can put that big ole Hemi. Richie Rich Iott, Boy! Come on over here! Atta Boy! Bend over…

  • AdLib : Patsy – I’m kind of surprised but it does seem to be striking a chord. I don’t think it’s going to make a huge impact but it seems to be defusing a lot of the spending to convince people of lies and hatred against Dems. It helps but the biggest surprise I think could be the uncounted minorities who may turn out in large numbers for Dems.

  • boomer1949 : AsLib, you and The Big Guy have a thing. All of us know it. Silly. Think we see Amerca from our decks? Jeeze…

  • kesmarn : I’m afraid it might be too optimistic to think that Fisher could pull off a win in Ohio for Senator. That one will probably go R, but it was before, anyway.

  • AdLib : Boomer – That’s why I disagree with the concept that the way to deal with racists is to try and be open to them to meet on common ground. Racism must be combated unrelentingly or it multiplies…as we’ve seen.

  • PatsyT : Good Point Kes, Now where do I put this thing?

  • kesmarn : And Patsy, er Ralph, I don’t think you should bother puttin’ in that Hemi if he’s jes’ gonna total it Sunday in the demo derby…

  • PatsyT : AdLib do you think the Mystery $$ thing will help?

  • boomer1949 : Anyone who was alive, breathing, and able to comprehend anything during the 60’s/70’s saw racism (tv or up-close-and-per sonal). MLK, the marches, the racism, the KKK, the meanness, the hatred, the bigoty. Sticks out like a sore thumb; ‘course no one would’ve batted an eye had McPalin been sworn in instead of Barack Obama.

  • AdLib : I think Reid pulls out a win in NV, Boxer and Brown win strongly, Murray wins, what’s his name beats McMahon…

  • kesmarn : Yes, AdLib. He’s channeled through you many a time. Now you can channel to him.

  • AdLib : Kes – And you know, I do have a BFF relationship with The Big Guy.

  • PatsyT : AdLib I am with you there and I think we may see some surprises !

  • kesmarn : As I’ve said so often, AdLib: from your lips to God’s ear.

  • AdLib : Night Bito!

  • AdLib : Making a big circle back to my original topic, I am defiantly predicting that the Dem turnout defies these predictions by the MSM of doom and gloom. Yes, we will lose seats in the House and possibly leadership but I think a majority of the tight races will fall into the Dem column. And Whitman and Fiorina can use their millions and billions to buy a one way ticket to Loserville.

  • kesmarn : G’night, b’ito. I’ll never turn you in,no matter what. Unless they offer really good chocolate…

  • PatsyT : Nighty Night Boomer!

  • kesmarn : I confess, I sewed Rich Iott’s Nazi uniform for him, but he’s really an undercover Commie!

  • bitohistory : I hate to leave, but leave I must. Goodnight all peace

  • PatsyT : Boomer they are sell outs everyone of them even Ralph knows that

  • AdLib : Pat! Whoops, I mean Patsy, ya know I need it for the demolition derby on Sunday!

  • kesmarn : Rand Paul and I are bosom comrades, sir, honest! No more water…glub…

  • PatsyT : Hey I gotta finish the back 40 before I get round to that Hemi

  • bitohistory : Don’t forget the Arab Lady!

  • kesmarn : Now that I think of it, this could be quite useful. I could tell them about Ralph, and then also my dearest comrade, Mrs. Palin. And then there’s Witch O’Donnell with the red star tattoed on her butt…

  • PatsyT : I have lots of hair on my back.. see I am really a man

  • AdLib : Hey Patsy, are ya done puttin’ that hemi in my Chevy?

  • bitohistory : OK, Ralph!!

  • AdLib : Boomer – You are so right! And what was the whole “pallin’ around with terrorists”, birth certificate, Rev. Wright, Michelle Obama hates America stuff all about? Pandering to racism. It was a disgusting election on that side.

  • PatsyT : Yes and my name is Ralph

  • kesmarn : …I can work with that, Patsy!

  • PatsyT : Kes I have lied about everything I have ever told you … I am really a man in Tennessee

  • boomer1949 : AdLib, the sock monkies present at the McPalin Rallies were a dead give away. Where do y9ou think sock monkies came from and why?

  • kesmarn : boomer, I thought I sympathized with you before. But if your dad was like Boehner, I REALLY get it now!

  • AdLib : bito – Absolutely! The GOP status quo may back Boehner but DeMint wants to grab that chair and don’t think Michelle Bachmann and other radicals will support DeMint or some other extremist nutjob against Boehner. It will be bloody and entertaining.

  • PatsyT : They all want their F U Money to go live on a private island and have their jets and security

  • kesmarn : “Therapeutic surfing” after I am “Extraordinaril y Renditioned.” Gotta love euphemisms. I will never reveal your names, however. Largely because I don’t know them.

  • AdLib : Boomer – The true history of the TP is that it was a phony astroturf organization financed primarily by Freedomworks/Koc h brothers. Yes, there was a swelling of ranks of racist, hateful Repub extremists as Obama became a viable candidate but things didn’t jell until the hatred, fear and racism overflowed after Obama’s election. Then, the Kochs and Freedomworks said, “We’ve got to get in front of this lynching party and lead it where we want it to go!” Up until that point, the GOP was defeated and aimless. They saw this hateful movement as just the ticket to revive the GOP and they were right.

  • PatsyT : AdLib they way things are speeding up maybe next wekk?

  • boomer1949 : bito-boner is an alcoholic, faux tanner, and my father reincarnated.

  • kesmarn : I was just going to say something similar, Patsy. The T-Bags are easily as sellout-ish as the Repubs. It will be a bloody, law of the jungle mess, I think. Survival of the greediest. And, boy, do they have a long list of contenders.

  • bitohistory : There is a theory afoot that boner will have a hard time making it to speaker. If Dems have the lead, Steny Hoyer, if the R’ are ahead Price (?)

  • PatsyT : Kes they call that therapeutic surfing You will learn to Love the Air!

  • boomer1949 : said it at HP before I left, and I’ll repeat it here…it’s not about the policies emanating from the WH, but all about the ethnicity of the family occupying the WH.

  • PatsyT : AdLib They are more about the $$$ then the dems to begin with Look at balin Palin all about the money

  • AdLib : And what fun! The 2012 GOP primary will be Jason vs. Freddy!

  • boomer1949 : AdLib- the TP was active long before the inauguration. Most of us here know that and it’s one of the reasons I left “over there”. It became quite obvious the powers that were/be began “lifting her skirt” as it were and showing her true colors. Hell AdLib this crap began long before the election and inauguration. Amazing we heard nothing negative until a Black guy trying to make our country a better place was condemned before he could take his coat off on 1/20/09

  • AdLib : Patsy – You’re right on the money. Looking ahead, imagine the vicious interparty struggle for leadership and power in the House for the Repubs if they gain control. Imagine how TP supporters will be far more discouraged than Dem Purists have been about Obama when they see their candidates become just as much sell outs as other Repubs (Scott Brown sold out in no time to the banks, carrying water for them). Maybe in 2012, the TP is more discouraged about voting than Dems are this year?

  • kesmarn : I’m sure it will be fun, Patsy. And my sinuses might benefit from an “irrigation” (20 times a day).

  • bitohistory : My thought exactly, AdLib, but I don’t think it will top the HPC

  • kesmarn : AdLib:  Maybe it’s dangerous to even be on the same site with Kryptonite Kes!

  • PatsyT : Kes it’s just a camp

  • PatsyT : Seriously how long is it going to be before there are t party rejects with tell all books?

  • kesmarn : Yessir, Patsy! If “they” get back into power again, my name will be on the “Fast Track to Gitmo” list.

  • AdLib : Bito – The initial TP caucus would likely be less than a dozen, maybe much less. They won’t have meaningful numbers to begin. However, expect pandering Repubs to join the caucus out of fear of having it turned against them.

  • kesmarn : True, AdLib. That’s the most pragmatic approach. “Progressive” can include a lot of ideas. Of course, “they” will (already have) turn it into a pejorative, anyway. Even the word “liberal,” which used to be respectable, is a dirty word for a lotta folks now.

  • PatsyT : Whoo Kes top of the list!

  • AdLib : I just Googled “socialist blogger” and “kesmarn” came up. Weird!

  • PatsyT : How about Bernie Sanders He calls himself a Democratic Socialist I think

  • AdLib : kes – My feeling is that if you get rid of the semantics that upset people, if you change the unpopular package but retain the otherwise popular contents, do it. The Socialists should simply come under the umbrella of “Progressives” , the goals are very similar.

  • kesmarn : boomer, I don’t think it’s denial or ignorance of the underlying issue. But if they even “notice” it, they’ll be accused of playing the race card, and indulging in self-pity.

  • bitohistory : Will the T-Party caucus have 85 members in it? That is the size of the Progressive Caucus.

  • boomer1949 : This man isn’t even 50 and wasn’t exposed to many of the things we (okay I) were; you know what we saw on television. On the other hand, one would think he’d ask us for advice instead of some of the old farts he has sitting around the table.

  • AdLib : Boomer – I saw Colbert interview one of the TP original organizers who works for Freedomworks. He said so casually, for some reason, the TP came together in February/March of 2009. Hmm…what could have brought them together that happened just before that. Maybe an inauguration of a black president?

  • PatsyT : With a bunch of parties No one could say they have a big tent

  • kesmarn : Google is saying: “That’s the 15th time “kesmarn” and “socialist” have appeared in the same post.”

  • bitohistory : Night j’avaz. Good debate.

  • kesmarn : Good night, j’avaz, Rest well.

  • bitohistory : and google is crawling again.

  • AdLib : Night javaz!

  • boomer1949 : kes, his advisers (or maybe even he , himself) are totally avoiding the underlying issue; out of denial; out of ignorance?

  • PatsyT : Night Night Javez!

  • kesmarn : And the Socialist Party could be a force if people could get past their terror of even saying the word.

  • javaz : I’m tired and can barely type, so I’ll bid you all a very good night and a better tomorrow.

  • AdLib : javaz – The difference is, many Progressives care about you and your family. Many Tea Partiers and Repubs could care less about you and your family. They want to take away all the safety nets for everyone else, they care only about having more money in their pockets by cutting taxes and the rest of the people in our nation be damned. Those are not people who have much in common with the rest of us.

  • PatsyT : Javez you are a better person then me to wanting to try, I admire you for your efforts and who knows it may pay off.. I feel like some of them are bound to get disillusioned and start asking questions.. I hope

  • kesmarn : Obama has summed it up well. “Even when I propose an idea that is totally in line with Republican principles (like tax breaks for small businesses), they oppose it, because it came from me. No other reason.”

  • boomer1949 : AdLib, the visious division in this nation was determined whe a person of color took the oath of office and took up residence in the White House. Only part that bothers me is that those of us older than he can see it for what it is and he cannot.

  • AdLib : Parties are fine but we surely would benefit more from a 5 party system than a 2 party system. There is no Progressive Party, there is a Dem Party that has Blue Dogs and conservatives that will try to smother Progressive issues but no true Progressive Party. The Dems may get there eventually, there are many true Progressives Dems in Congress but not enough yet for the party to wholly Progressive.

  • bitohistory : Record number of filibusters and over 300 Obama appontments on hold, j’avaz. How do you reach out to the R’s and TP’s. Where is their reaching out when they won’t even allow a bill to be debated?

  • javaz : I’ll repeat myself – no matter your politic – we all care about our families and the future of our children, my mission i to find common ground.

  • boomer1949 : kes, the party system is determined by where the money is coming from — who can buy the most influence — and stir the pot to infouence an election.

  • AdLib : javaz – I think we are all agreed that the vicious division in this nation has to end and those of good will need to come together. However, my view is that there are some people who will never change their religion, their social views or their political loyalty. There are some folks who would even vote for a Republican who dresses up as a Nazi. They will not be expected nor invited to the party. They will have sworn adversaries who oppose racism, prejudice and inhumanity.

  • kesmarn : One advantage of the party system, though, is that it forces candidates to make a broad choice of where they stand, at least. It saves time. If you had to research every candidate and decipher all their code-speak, it would take forever.

  • javaz : Ad Lib, I get it but all I am trying to say is that we must a voice to reach out to the other side

  • PatsyT : Javez Yes I see they are open about that and it makes me think of the twilight zone episode … To Serve Man …. «link»

  • AdLib : javaz, here are some stats that I think make a good argument as to why there are many TPs who could never be moved from racism, hatred and ignorance: 24 percent of Republicans believe Obama is the AntiChrist. 67% say he is a socialist. 61% percent say he wants to take away Americans’ right to own guns. 57 percent say he is a Muslim. 51 percent think he wants to turn over the sovereignty of the United States to a one world government. 55 percent think he has done many things that are unconstitutional . 47 percent say he resents America’s heritage. 40 percent say he does what Wall Street and the bankers tell him to do. 25 percent say he was not born in the United States and so is not eligible to be president. 45 percent say he is a domestic enemy that the U.S. Constitutions speaks of. 45 percent say he is a racist. 41 percent say he is anti-American. 41 percent say he wants to use an economic collapse or terrorist attack as an excuse to take dictatorial powers. 38 percent say he is doing many of the things that Hitler did. 22% say he wants the terrorists to win. «link»

  • boomer1949 : dARN, FORGOT TO COPY FIRST… «link»

  • javaz : I agree with Jesse Ventura, when he says it’s time to dissolve the political parties, because people vote for the party instead of the candidate.

  • bitohistory : And what replaces the safty net, j’avaz? Nothing?

  • boomer1949 : Hell, I didn’t even have to search. The story is on the NPR Home Page…

  • kesmarn : Adolph was pretty up front about his agenda, too. But he wasn’t overly inclined to listen to opposing opinions….just sayin’.

  • boomer1949 : All Things Considered interviewed him today…heard it on my way home from work. He was much more in control, but the message was the same, “if I saved a kid from haning hi/herself, then it was worth it”.

  • bitohistory : The thing about Soros is has been trans parent of all his backing.

  • kesmarn : Right, Patsy. And a couple of people of wealth on the left as opposed to hundreds on the right, does not an argument make.

  • PatsyT : not a

  • javaz : Okay, so I misspoke o that part – but if people listen to then -they want to eliminate Social Security and Medicare and they want to eliminate minimum wage and they want the government out of everything – they are honest in saying what they want to eliminate and that includes public education – they are not hiding their agenda

  • PatsyT : Yeah and I’mm no a witch but …

  • kesmarn : And the real tip-off is when they preface a remark with: “Now I’m not a racist, but….”

  • PatsyT : Ah but did Soros have the coal and oil industry to prop up?

  • bitohistory : Racism is like roaches. If you see one, you don’t say poor little lonely roach. They-it -breeds.

  • boomer1949 : AdLib & Kes,

  • kesmarn : And, in my experience, when you confront T-Party people on the $$$ flooding into campaigns from RW billionaires, they have a pre-set 2 word answer. George Soros. Then they shut down.

  • AdLib : Boomer – That was remarkable and the kind of injection of humanity that we need in our society and politics.

  • AdLib : The TP candidates are upfront and honest? DOn’t agree with that, did you see Sharron Angle’s debate? Or Christine O’Donnell’s? And as for racists, racism flourishes when not confronted. Look how much hatred and racism there is now compared to two years ago, thanks to an MSM that has allowed it to grow without condemnation.

  • PatsyT : Javez I can only imagine that if you could really take some of them down the road of logic and reason they would get it but they have these toxic ‘leaders’ that get in the way … Do any of them like the idea of all this mysterious Money pouring into our elections? Don’t we as Americans have the right to know who is behind that curtain? Why hide?

  • boomer1949 : Patsy–ewwww!

  • boomer1949 : Anyone see Colbert on Stewart the other night?

  • bitohistory : It is sad, AdLib, compared to them the Know-Nothings were intelligent.

  • kesmarn : Whoa…brain exploding…(a) have had little success in reaching out to T-Party people since, if I don’t agree with them immediately, they say I am of Satan and/or Marx (b) am glad real history gets heard SOMEWHERE and (c) the Fort Worth city councilman was brilliant and touched minds and hearts! Whew!

  • boomer1949 : kes, if you go to NPR.org, then programs, then Fresh Air, you can find anything you’ve missed. Teri Gross had a marvelopus interview from 92Y in NYC with Jon Stewart a couple of weeks ago that will knock your socks off.

  • PatsyT : Javez YOu have to give it to them there they are right out there

  • bitohistory : Fresh Air «link»

  • AdLib : But really Bito, isn’t it offensive to a democracy that such disgusting excuses for human beings who are purely self-promoting celebrities, like Rush and Beck, should have to be dealt with in political discourse?

  • boomer1949 : Here’s a question, and AdLib, please excuse me for stepping on your moderator toes, but I’d be interested in hearing anyone’s thoughts about Joel (sorry I can’t remember his last name), the City Council Member who took a major dive and stand regarding the number of teens who’ve committed suicide in the last several weeks/months. I posted his comments & another music vid on OT.

  • javaz : AdLib, we all get it – and what I am saying is let it go – yes, the tea partiers are racist bigots – but if you take the time to listen to them, they try not to be. We need to reach out to them and make them listen to their candidates, The tea party candidates are up front and honest with their plans, and their plans with free market and no regulations, and eliminating minimum wage – we have to educate the public, and let them know that privatization of Social Security means that their dollars will still come out of their paychecks but instead of going to the government, their tax dollars are going Wall Street.

  • kesmarn : I’ll bet Beck regrets that choice of Mormonism now. When the real mega-bucks are in fraudulent RW Christianity.

  • PatsyT : Any links Bito?

  • bitohistory : He was good k’es. He and Ms. Gross filleted him.

  • AdLib : bito – No, what were the highlights? I know he and his wife-to-be shopped for a religion like a tablecloth, deciding that as long as they were getting married they should choose a religion to commit too. They eventually chose Mormonism.

  • kesmarn : I never get to hear Fresh Air. I hope they had a REAL historian on to “refudiate” that fraud.

  • PatsyT : I thought he was hatched from a pod

  • bitohistory : Any one hear Fresh Air yesterday with the historian talking about Becks “history”?

  • kesmarn : Things went downhill when you left the room, boomer.

  • PatsyT : Boomer this has sunk to a new low – ExLax

  • boomer1949 : Here

  • kesmarn : Slap Yourself, or I’ll Do It For You, Tea Party America! Nah. Too long.

  • boomer1949 : Sorry, left and didn’t ask for the hall pass. Back now & won’t ask what I’ve missed.

  • PatsyT : Smooth Move ExLax Ha My brother used to use that line all the time!

  • kesmarn : On the ExLax one, that is!

  • kesmarn : Welllll…maybe not…

  • PatsyT : Javez I hope there are some in the Tea Party crowd that have honest motives

  • bitohistory : “Slap Yourself”?

  • AdLib : Or maybe, “Smooth move, Ex Lax!”

  • kesmarn : Much better!

  • AdLib : Kes – If you lean forward too much, you fall on your face. How about a line from Goodfellas, “Smarten up!”

  • PatsyT : The images are well put together and I noticed that the voices are very young So the rumors that fox viewers that die off are not being replaced by throngs of young people could very well be true

  • kesmarn : Is it supposed to a be sort of a “don’t lean left or right” message? Because — I’m sorry — I will always lean left!

  • AdLib : Something that’s not so slick and polished that it loses its intended meaning.

  • AdLib : How about, “Care About Tomorrow”.

  • AdLib : Lean Forward is a shallow, corporately conceived catch phrase. Though I like the commercial, I don’t like the contrived, meaningless phrase.

  • PatsyT : Grab your ankles!

  • AdLib : Patsy – I need three showers now. I’ll still feel so dirty!

  • PatsyT : AdLib Hey thats Limbats line

  • PatsyT : Kes I like that Ads and I think they are feeling a little guilty for letting some of the On Air talent go off on Obama

  • AdLib : MSNBC – Bend over.

  • AdLib : javaz – I agree but we have to see things for how they really are. The Tea Party is a conglomerate made up primarily of RW Republicans who are immune to truth, logic and reason. They believe Obama is a Kenyan Muslim Marxist in league with Al Qaeda and nothing will change their minds. We have to give up on the racists and haters, they can’t be turned. However, there are some TPs who are not racists and are open to facts and reason, a minority apparently but still some. They are the only ones who could be invited to seek legit solutions to the problems we all have to deal with. And IMHO, the only way to disconnect them from the destructive know nothings and corporate CEOs who own the TP, is for the TP to prove it’s a fraud…as the election and impotence/betray al of its members in Congress will bear out.

  • kesmarn : Yes, Patsy. They’re intriguing, those ads. What do you suppose is the motive? Pull away from negativity? Subtle push for Obama?

  • PatsyT : Javez Great Question…

  • javaz : My quest in life is to ask – why can’t we all get along?

  • kesmarn : javaz, I think the left has bent over backwards to try to get along. And I don’t feel that I’m not being objective on that. These folks don’t want compromise, though.

  • PatsyT : Lean Forward

  • PatsyT : Has anyone seen the new MSNBC ads?

  • kesmarn : bito, I understand they had teenagers signing foreclosure documents. Maybe texting at the same time! Imagine losing your house in between Britany and Kayden meeting and then breaking up 15 minutes later.

  • bitohistory : I have been to WalMart 5 times in my life– for replacements that someone else bought.

  • javaz : We have got6 to figure out how to cross the political lines, because we all agree when it comes to the basics of education for our children, and caring for the lesser among us and we want a minimum livable wage and affordable health care.

  • AdLib : Boomer – I do indeed! Very appreciated!

  • AdLib : I can count on three fingers how many times I’ve shopped at a Walmart…and have two fingers left over…and just a middle finger left up.

  • boomer1949 : AdLib, you better. I don’t dole those compliments out on a whim.

  • AdLib : Thanks Boomer!

  • boomer1949 : bito, I’ve put WalMart on my “avoid” list. Proud to say I’ve not been there in the last 90 days maybe?

  • bitohistory : What a job–signing foreclosure papers and not know what your doing.

  • kesmarn : javaz, I worry that elections can be hijacked on a larger scale than ever — either through massive infusions of cash and/or wide scale hacking of electronic voting systems.

  • AdLib :

  • PatsyT : I can’t wait to grow up and work at Walmart Mommy! How many kids say that?

  • javaz : We’ve got to stop viewing our politics as us versus them.

  • boomer1949 : AdLib…I’m totally amazed by your wealth of information/know ledge. No, not amazed, in awe; have only known one other coming close, and he…well…I’l l save it for another day.

  • AdLib : Patsy and Bito – Yes, those Walmart commercials are Orwellian to me. “I had nothing and was going nowhere…until my master, Walmart, gave me a low wage job with little room for advancement that will forever limit the possibilities for me and my children in life. Thanks Walmart. Now can I have a water break, boss? It is time for my 10 minute lunch, I have worked 13 hours.”

  • javaz : B’ito – we are progressing, but it’s a long and drawn out progress.

  • kesmarn : Marcy Kaptur is on TV at the moment trying to get GMAC to shape up on this foreclosure issue. She is filing a suit, apparently. Another socialist enemy of the free market.

  • bitohistory : javazDon’t we hope that we are progressing?

  • javaz : The democratic process is a down and dirty business.

  • PatsyT : Bingo AdLib !

  • bitohistory : WalMrt and their fabulous wages feed and clothe my family, give me HC and pay for my college. RAH-RAH

  • AdLib : Are you familiar with what a Judas Goat is? From Wikipedia: “A Judas goat is a trained goat used at a slaughterhouse and in general animal herding. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them to a specific destination. In stockyards, a Judas goat will lead sheep to slaughter, while its own life is spared.” Sound familiar to what’s going on with the Tea Party?

  • kesmarn : b’ito, don’t they realize that they are interfering with the work of the Invisible Hand? Mr.Darwin assures us the strong will prevail and the weak will be eliminated. That’s the way it’s suppose to work. Wise up, China!!

  • PatsyT : They are already selling people on this substandard employment stuff

  • javaz : All I am trying to say is calm down, as history proves elections are downright dirty – there are portions of our history whereby they got into gunfights – what we’re experiencing is nothing new.

  • PatsyT : Any one notice the hallmark warm and fuzzy Walmart commercial of their employees?

  • AdLib : Patsy – Absolutely! Consider all that has been discussed…de-r egulation of all corporations, banks and Wall Street. Doing away with the Minimum Wage. No Public Option and repealing HCR. Busting unions left and right. Limiting lawsuits. No unemployment insurance, disability, Medicare or Social Security. Where is their vision taking America? To indentured servitude.

  • bitohistory : The five year plan for the Chinese, from the convention this week, was to reduce the disparity between the rich and poor. Damn Commies.

  • kesmarn : boomer, I’ll watch for it.

  • PatsyT : Hey Bito I also noticed that Ratigan kinda speed him along.. funny

  • kesmarn : I remember those interpretations of “Dark Knight” when it came out, AdLib.

  • boomer1949 : kes, YGM…

  • PatsyT : Bito thats it!

  • kesmarn : Ahh… “If I go down, all of you go down with me…” Lies!

  • bitohistory : k’es, That the master leads the slaves into believing that their welfare depends on his welfare.

  • kesmarn : Bankrupting government combined with gridlocking it does tend to more or less nullify democracy.

  • PatsyT : Oppps – break

  • AdLib : Kes – Yes, there were indeed political tones in The Dark Night and the RW, like idiots, thought the conflict it presented between a loss of privacy for security was an endorsement of Bush!

  • PatsyT : AdLib.. They want to create their own China workforce RIGHT HERE ! First breack the will of peopl so they will take any job and live in any kind of condition

  • javaz : I think that we scare ourselves – when it comes to history that we are not doing anything new – and history is repeating itself

  • PatsyT : I forget the name of the guy ..American … he used to be in russia he has a blog

  • AdLib : Bito – Yes, I had heard way back then from someone who was cozy with insiders in the GOP that the ultimate goal was to do what has been done by the Bushes and is the goal of the Repub Tea Party, bankrupt government and government programs to disarm its power and redirect wealth to the wealthy. One necessity for this is eliminating the middle class and appropriating that wealth.

  • kesmarn : No, Patsy. What was his thesis?

  • bitohistory : Patsy. I don;t usually watch him, but I did see that. It was good.

  • kesmarn : “V” is a very interesting movie, AdLib. Also that one Batman –was it “Dark Knight”? I know that sounds crazy, but it def had political overtones.

  • PatsyT : Did anyone see the guy on Dylan Ratigan today that talked about the slave mentality and the masters?

  • kesmarn : Maybe my folks were the anomaly, but they definite read the papers and watched the news (which was slightly more objective back then) and studied the issues.

  • AdLib : BTW, if you haven’t seen it for a while, the movie “V for Vendetta” has both echoes of the Bush Admin (there’s a very creepy Karl Rove type character) and the Tea Party populism of today, along with the deceit and oppression of the majority by the select few.

  • bitohistory : St. Ronnie was the one who allowed the raiding of the SS trust funds–long range plan to ruin it?

  • javaz : You know I’ve been wondering if in the past, if the electorate was just as stupid and ignorant, and the answer is YES, yes they were, and that is why Thomas Jefferson and Abe Lincoln warned about the corporations and the ignorance of the voters.

  • AdLib : Patsy, the sad truth is that being a Republican today means being a dog that drools when a bell is rung. There is no reason, no difference of opinions, just slavish devotion and dittohead repetition of the policies that will only benefit the millionaires and billionaires to whom they are religiously devoted.

  • kesmarn : boomer, there should be some sort of emergency assistance for people who got caught short!

  • kesmarn : Patsy, I truly believe they do not care.

  • PatsyT : AdLib People PAY into those those programs- they really need a little time trip back to the beginning of the last century and see how people suffered!

  • AdLib : bito – We all knew the Kochs were dicks. And lying pricks. And behind the TP, seeing video proof just confirmed what was pretty widely known.

  • boomer1949 : kes, evidently not, although I filed a complaint today.

  • kesmarn : Yes, AdLib, and then the RW media go all sanctimonious about “no increase in SS COLA this year” and blame Obama for it! There wouldn’t be any SS to increase if it were up to them!

  • AdLib : Hi javaz! Welcome!

  • AdLib : Someone mentioned to me that their TX high school alumni on their Facebook page are going on and on about how terrible Welfare is and how it should be ended. Then the TPs wanting to end Unemployment Insurance, Social Security and Medicare. And yet, more people than ever are in need…and are still voting for those who want to snatch away all of their safety nets! And as was mentioned, no doubt ALL of these people’s parents are receiving SS! Do they want their parents to move in with them and be financially dependent on them? Racism, hatred of blacks and latinos is really at the root of all of this “financially responsible” BS.

  • bitohistory : Hey j’avaz!

  • boomer1949 : Rove is a sleaze

  • kesmarn : Tarred TR and FDR with that old “Socialist” brush, too, b’ito. Some things never change.

  • bitohistory : Looks what the industrialists/b ankers did to T.R and FDR. AdLib. Same thing –but with out cable to echo/

  • kesmarn : Hey, javaz!

  • PatsyT : Hey Javez!

  • javaz : Hello! Am I too late?

  • kesmarn : boomer, no protection for the customers of MetaBank? Scary.

  • PatsyT : Hey Bito they have come out of the closet

  • boomer1949 : Google OTS abd MetaBank OMG the SEC and WSJ…must’ve been extremely hush hush, but customers have been screwed and didn’t even get to say OMG!

  • bitohistory : What does anyone make of the News of the Kock boys and the Tparty coming out?-?FINALLY! any effect?

  • boomer1949 : kes,

  • kesmarn : boomer, email me, girlfriend. Maybe there’s something we can do to help.

  • AdLib : So sorry, Boomer.

  • boomer1949 : oh kes, if you only knew. My rent is due. Not sure what I’m going to do.

  • kesmarn : Right, boomer. Why are evil people usually so healthy? (Cough. Cough.)

  • AdLib : Isn’t it incredible that this meme, validated by the MSM, that Obama has been too tough on the Wall Street crooks, has taken hold? That the Repubs can even mention killing regulation after so many lost their savings, homes and jobs because of them? It’s crazy!

  • boomer1949 : kes, keep trying to kncok hi over but he just don’t get the message or the bruised thighs.

  • PatsyT : Boomer I know that bigot mentality quite well I grew up with it

  • kesmarn : Yes, boomer, and he won’t stay down, either. Rats.

  • boomer1949 : kes, krove reminds me of a Weeble.

  • AdLib : Whatever happens in November, the Dem Purists are going to either get onboard the Obama Re-Election train or be run down because we will be re-energized and regrouped for that after this insanity of the Tea Party!

  • kesmarn : Not interested in Nut Meg, b’ito? I don’t blame you!

  • boomer1949 : okey dokey, from the top…Patsy none, because none has ever been a person of color? We’ve a plehthora of bigots in this country.

  • kesmarn : People who’ve been allowed to get away with a lot of really bad behavior for a really long time don’t like it when the new Sheriff decides to clean up Dodge.

  • bitohistory : k’es, No Thanks.

  • PatsyT : They must be really scared

  • boomer1949 : AdLib–a two year old’s melt down.

  • PatsyT : But think about it What other President has ever had this much opposition and this much Money going against him?

  • AdLib : Bito – Just ironing out the draft of TIPA. We should have it out to other groups next week!

  • kesmarn : b’ito $15 will get you Meg Whitman’s attention according to Brown’s aide!!

  • AdLib : Patsy – Great logic wasted on the childish and self-centered. Those Dem Purists opposing Obama have more in common with cranky toddlers than adults. “BUT I WANTED CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM, NOT VANILLA!!!”

  • boomer1949 : You know, I must commend Joy and Whoopi for sticking it to O’Reilly the other day; and for Oprah to fly Stwearts audience to DE, and for Colbert for bussing his audinence vian WinChen bus something or other to the National Mall.

  • PatsyT : Well I ask in theory not that any of you are in the disillusioned crowd

  • kesmarn : Make that “threatened”.. .durn cat!!

  • kesmarn : Good question, Patsy! Obviously SOMEONE is feeling a wee bit threathened!

  • bitohistory : How is the feed back on the TIPA. AdLib?

  • boomer1949 : Patsy, a)I’m not one of them and b)because they’re assholes?

  • AdLib : Have you seen the Repubs on cable saying that the reason there are no jobs is because Obama has passed regulations on Wall Street and banks? Angle said in her debate too, get rid of regulation and the free market will fix all the problems with insurance too. Talk about Doublespeak For Dummies.

  • kesmarn : Ouch, boomer! I guess they couldn’t really tip anyone off before the big bust though, huh?

  • bitohistory : I have 15 bucks, can that buy me an ad?

  • PatsyT : OK I have a question for the folks that are so disillusioned with President Obama.. If Obama has been so ineffective and week, Just why is the RW so enraged and blowing their fortune to defeat him?

  • boomer1949 : kes, I feel sorry for those who were screwed. Apparently this has been in the works since August, yet there was noadvance notice. Almost like shutting employees out and the company going dark. Long story, but I’m collateral.

  • kesmarn : And then K Rove pretends to be all outraged about the public need to know the names of these donors. He sure was curious about who was financing the NYC Muslim community center!

  • AdLib : FYI – A companion proposition to the GROW Truth In Advertising Amendment will be a mirror of the DISCLOSE Act for CA.

  • kesmarn : i didn’t see that, boomer. Oh, these banking guys…how they dislike our Prez who is finally cracking down on them!

  • bitohistory : Heard this reporter on NPR (from Time?) that said the ThinkProgress report didn’t prove that the Chamber was spending foreign money on ads. Idiot! The report was that the money was all going into the same account without transparency.

  • AdLib : Patsy – I sure hope so, it would be a real victory for our democracy if people eschewed any candidate getting secret money. And the Dems should keep hammering, “Foreign countries are trying to interfere in our democracy! Reject them and who they support!”

  • boomer1949 : The money thing is very, very scary. Did anyone see the Office of Trust Supervision shut down a Payday Loan organization for violating Federal & Anti Trust Laws a couple of days ago? MetaBank is in deep doo doo.

  • PatsyT : AdLib tell me something I don’t know

  • kesmarn : And also wearing the white sheet from your bed…with little eye holes and a pointy hat, AdLib.

  • AdLib : …they’re a witch wearing a Nazi uniform.

  • AdLib : True Bito! As Kes mentioned, there does seem to be a drift back towards sanity, a nit of buyer’s remorse after indies courted the Tea Party. Like going home with someone at a bar at closing time, sleeping with them then waking up sober in the morning and recognizing that they’re wearing a witch wearing a Nazi uniform.

  • kesmarn : Yes, Patsy, there have been a couple of stories on the anonymous big donors lately — even on mainstream media.

  • boomer1949 : Personally no. I just think all of them, regardless of affiliation, are out for him/her slef. Don’t care how they get there, just hoping they do. {retty disguusting IMO.

  • PatsyT : I think this mysterious $$ in the funding of elections is getting traction!

  • boomer1949 : AL,

  • PatsyT : AdLib, That is what I think! How can people buy this rebup t party BS?

  • kesmarn : I think that’s quite possible. I hope there’s a major surprise in Nov ?-? the good kind.

  • bitohistory : Or no phones, AdLib, or at work.

  • AdLib : Okay, so back on topic, do you think minority voters are being ignored in polls and the Dems will have a much better time at the polls than predicted?

  • PatsyT : The Larch

  • kesmarn : That’ll spoil the fun!

  • bitohistory : New specs, I might just take them off

  • kesmarn : Launch?

  • AdLib : Larch?

  • kesmarn : b’ito  “lynch”?

  • AdLib : Lurch?

  • bitohistory : Lunch?

  • AdLib : I’ve heard that blacks and Latinos are way under polled because polling is done via hard lines and many of these voters are cell phone only.

  • bitohistory : linch

  • kesmarn : We’ll have to call them Tea Cats.

  • boomer1949 : kes…full moon next week. ‘splains the cat idiosyncrasies. Mine are off their rockers.

  • bitohistory : Saturday lunc time for Kalima

  • AdLib : Aw…miss ya Kalima!

  • kesmarn : Aaaawwww. Must you leave, Kalima? B’bye, then!

  • bitohistory : Cold be AdLib, the blacks and Hispanics are not polled well in national polls.

  • boomer1949 : WooHoo…Kalima! Love it!

  • kesmarn : I can feel a shift in the wind here. But then, when your R candidate dresses up as a Nazi, that does tend to happen.

  • Kalima : No, they stretch along my keyboard. See you later guys, got to get started. Have fun. :)

  • boomer1949 : WooHoo,

  • kesmarn :

  • boomer1949 : no fair!

  • boomer1949 : kalima,

  • AdLib : Welcome, Kalima! SO nice to see you here!

  • boomer1949 : My daughter & son in-law are actually looking at Scottsdale for next year. I’m trying to discourage, but hey, they’re grown ups now.

  • kesmarn : Hi Kalima! Do your cats allow you to type in peace?

  • AdLib : HOW ABOUT OUR FIRST TOPIC FOR THE NIGHT? AS YOU MAY HAVE SEEN, I POSTED A COMMENT IN OT QUOTING AN AP ARTICLE THAT BLACK VOTERS ARE POWERFULLY ENERGIZED AND JUST MAY MAKE THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION MUCH MORE FAVORABLE TO DEMS. BITO MENTIONED THAT 78% OF THE LATINO VOTE IS EXPECTED TO TURN OUT IN AZ. IS IT TRULY POSSIBLE THAT DESPITE ALL THE MSM PUSHING OF THIS GOP AVALANCHE STORY, THAT THE DEMS MAY NOT HAVE SUCH A BAD NOVEMBER?

  • PatsyT : I love hearing about other peoples cats

  • boomer1949 : Oh bito,

  • boomer1949 : I was noticing the beautiful colors as I was driving home this afternoon. Absolutely gorgeous. However, I’d gladly give it up for sunny skies and Vitamin D (which my doc says I’m lacking) big time.

  • kesmarn : My cat is driving me nuts. For some reason, he thinks the click of the keyboard is a summons for him to come and sit on it. Maybe he’s trying to mate with it….?

  • PatsyT : Kes, yes, The cough has mostly subsided and my daughter was back in school today

  • Kalima : Too late boomer, I’ve been spying. :(

  • kesmarn : Patsy, are feeling better? Am I losing it, or did you say you had a respiratory bug?

  • PatsyT : Kes, My daughter is already shocked, and she grew up in Chicago! She forgot about that cold!

  • bitohistory : Too bright for Vox Pop? I don’t know.

  • PatsyT : Bito where did your fancy new colors go?

  • boomer1949 : AdLib,

  • kesmarn : Hey, b’ito!

  • AdLib : Hey bito!

  • kesmarn : This is one of Ohio’s “good” months, Patsy. Pretty colors, mild temps. Deceptive. The scary stuff is on the way.

  • bitohistory : Hey all. boomer, you could move to AZ. We have our own time zone and type of government

  • boomer1949 : kes, kes…hold on guys, the furries want to attack the garbage. Don’t tell Kalima. Be right back…

  • AdLib : Mmm…side door meatballs!

  • kesmarn : Hey, AdLib! I slipped in the side door. I like to stand near those little meatball appetizers.

  • AdLib : Boomer, someone has to keep OH from falling into the GOP abyss.

  • PatsyT : Hey Kes, It’s Ohio girls tonight

  • AdLib : Hey Kes!

  • boomer1949 : Wish I were where any of you on the West Coast are. Trust me.

  • boomer1949 : Patsy,

  • kesmarn : Darn! I thought it was a German word for the T-Party. “Gang of Dopes.”

  • boomer1949 : Born @ US Naval Hospital. My father was in the Marine Corp. Will never forgive them for being homesick (or whatever). ‘Course we’re talking awhile ago.

  • AdLib : It’s German for “Classic Episode of Star Trek where Spock Wears a Goatee”.

  • PatsyT : I have a handy nuclear reactor just down the street

  • kesmarn : Hi all, I was so busy typing to boomer I’m late for the party.

  • PatsyT : Ooo thats a big word

  • AdLib : Patsy and Boomer…you may be each other’s doppelganger!

  • boomer1949 : AdLib,

  • boomer1949 : Crispy Critter? Depends whether he is in DC or campaigning.

  • PatsyT : Boomer I am the opposite of you I grew up in Cleveland and wound up in Southern Cal

  • AdLib : Maybe we could hook Boehner’s tanning bed up to a nuclear reactor?

  • boomer1949 : Patsy,

  • boomer1949 : PT,49 and clear.

  • PatsyT : How about we get that tan bed super charged

  • AdLib : I went to school in San Diego…fond memories.

  • boomer1949 : @ Patsy,

  • boomer1949 : Oh AdLib, I wish I were in your Time Zone dear. I was born in San Diego and have NEVER forgiven my parents for high tailing it back to cow town.

  • AdLib : Is it true that everyone’s lights dim in OH when Boehner turns on his tanning bed?

  • PatsyT : How is Ohio Tonight Boomer?

  • AdLib : Boomer – Just set your clock to PDT and it’ll seem much earlier!

  • AdLib : Hey Boomer! Hey Patsy!

  • PatsyT : Hi Everyone!

  • boomer1949 : Okey dokey, I’m here — kinda’, sorta. — I so dislike the time difference, but I guess it’s all my faul, eh?

  • AdLib : You don’t say!

  • Jenuwin : loads of parties

  • AdLib : What are you up to this weekend?

  • Jenuwin : not much

  • AdLib : Hey Jenuwin! WHat up?

  • Jenuwin : hello

  • AdLib : Vox Populi is about to start, don’t forget to say “hi” when you arrive!

  • AdLib : Vox Populi, our live chat about the week’s events begins at 7:00 pm PDT tonight right here! Hope to see you then!
