Lights, camera, action…cue the music!
The theme for this Friday’s Music thread is a return to a favorite, music from movies. Feel free to share music and scenes from movies with or without music that are memorable.
Since I’ve hit a lot of my favorites in previous editions, here are some less well known clips:
Lady Sings the Blues – Ain’t Nobody’s Business if I Do

Sweet and Lowdown – I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles

Harold and Maude – If You Want To Sing Out

The Rutles – Cheese and Onions

Your turn!

Sorry, but they just threw this group together, but it did get into the movie. Wonder what ever happened to these guys?

I think you will enjoy it. It’s set in SC in 64′ and shows a lot of the hate towards AA’s that has resurfaced since Obama was elected. It was published in 02′ as a historical novel by author Sue Monk Kidd.
There are times you laugh and times your heart just aches, but it’s a beautiful and very well acted film that stays in your head long after the final credits roll.
I just saw that you can download it from youtube here.
