jdmin17 – boy, I hear you! I used to think I held my own over at HP, and was able to post cleverly. Then I came here I thought, holy shit, these people really know how to post and blog. It was humbling to say the least. I am just trying to stay abreast of the great post here, let alone adding my own voice. If you’re a ninth grader then I just got into middle school.

escribacat, understood, it’s funny, I joined there in 2007 and at that time there was really nothing like it for liberals (in terms of scope of the news and forum use) it slowly got worse and I was in turn slow to criticize. First I complained about the badges, even though I turned them off, they kept popping back on, so I complained and an admin actually responded (knock me over with a feather) and offered to remove them completely from my profile. And then than mod 2 thing was implemented and quickly gamed by the trolls, and finally the headline silliness. Even then it took this friggin merger to open my eyes completely, I am slow sometimes. The moderation finally became almost unbearable a couple months ago. I complained often but no one ever responded.

Not sure if this means anything, but if Arianna’s Facebook page is any indication, people are losing interest, barely any comments posted in last 12 hours.

And guess what the 4th most popular story is (in terms of ‘likes’) Katy Perry reveals her weight. Scintillating i tell you.

That said, is anyone else feeling HP withdrawals? Hello my name is Zootliberal and i am an addict.

I read a couple articles there today, and started to comment, but account closed, so I just lay on the couch in a shivering cold sweat.

But then I remembered The Planet and felt so much better.

Silentdances – good question was wondering that myself, I am sure they are working on this, but it’s a little awkward trying to keep a conversation going unless you do it in real time. Of the things I miss about HP system was that tool in the side bar to track responses. I am hoping something like that could be implemented at this great site.

Help Desk

When I tried to subscribe directly from my banking account (clicking on the link above) I kept getting this message: “Fatal Failure” which is scary enough when your almost 65 years old. I after determining I wasn’t going to die, I went to my PayPal account and added some funds so I could subscribe using that link. Of course there they say the electronic transfer will take 3-5 days, which makes you wonder what kind of electrons they use. Bottom line, no action needed for me, but my subscription will be delayed a couple more days. Keep up the great work!

howdy hi, in my recent post, “An HP Moderator Replies” I tried to post a picture at the top, I could see it in the editor, and the preview portion worked, by couldn’t seem to get it in the previewed or published post. It’s url in the PlantPOV library is:
