On Why Dogs Are Better Than Cats

C’mon Patsy!
Just the other day a cat pawed his owners face until she woke up, saving her from a fire in her house!
Ease up on cats! πŸ˜‰

Kalima- You win- paws down!!! πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 5:31 pm

Caru- I had a dog that I swore could read my mind! My then husband told me on a bitterly cold Chicago night, to ‘just take her out’.
I had been dreading going out in -55 degree cold, for about 2 hrs; Krissy had been sitting in the hall beside her leash for about an hour and a half!
Went out the front door of our high-rise on the lake- wind blasting like a hurricane.
That dog took about 10 steps- into the ramp of the parking garage(which was below ground,) I stood there, sheltered from the wind while she took care of business! She was done in a very few minutes, I cleaned the spot and ran back in- total elapsed time-less than 10 min including elevator rides both ways! She had never done that before, and I certainly didn’t teach her! She just knew..
We could write a book about that dog and her cats..

Well, they probably Will stop- when You do.. πŸ™‚

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 5:03 pm

LOL- and do I see Her Majesty calmly dropping a tasty grouse into your hand????? πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 5:02 pm

LOL! Well you need to get everyone together, and go get some friends!
If you asked the kids to keep their shoes on, you are ready for pets again! πŸ™‚
I highly recommend at Least 2 cats, and the shelter will show you dogs that get on well with cats!
Presto, fur family! πŸ™‚

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 12:58 pm

Don’t you Dare train her to hunt grouse!!!
And If you really want that information- I can tell you who owns whom! πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 12:40 pm

But, it will be worth it- in the Long Run!! πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 9:39 am

Hey- No excuse! The cats will be perfectly fine at home alone- take the dogs to work with you!
What is So hard about that??
I live in FL- people take their dogs Everywhere!!
You better not plan to eat out in my town’s central area if you don’t want to share your space with a dog!
Don’t think of going to the Farmer’s Market if dogs offend you! πŸ˜‰
And, more downtown businesses than not, will have a friendly dog greet you before the humans do!!
I’m a cat person- but I do enjoy interacting with them as I shop, or grab a sandwich.
You lose the argument!! πŸ˜‰
Call the shelter and make an appointment- today!!
*edit: You raised your kids in a clean healthy Environment????????
Good Grief- what Were you thinking??!!!

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 9:31 am

fox! you haven’t gone to the shelter and gotten any friends Yet???
Shame- look what you are missing- do you really want your children to be raised in a clean, orderly environment???
That is not normal for kids!!

» Posted By jkkFL On May 24, 2011 @ 8:52 am

I was Waiting for that, wts! But really, don’t you think ferrets are kinda like cats with a shorter attention span?
As for you ADONAI, you make your case for blind loyalty..
But cats… the challenge is to co-exist- peacefully. That is achieved by not having expectations! And by meeting their standards! πŸ˜‰
Simply put: feed them what they want, when they want it. Maintain a pristine litter environment;
and in my case- Do Not wake Persia before 11AM.
In return, you will achieve nirvana!
Two furry, highly intelligent, affectionate nut cases who, without warning, will recreate classic boxing matches in the ring of your living room, hide under the rug and grab the tail of the unlucky cat who remains in the open, chase each other furiously for a minute or two- then reverse the pursuit, and disappear during a storm-(you scared? Get under the bed, stupid!)
They give you kitty kisses on your cheeks and forehead, purr at the same decibel level as a Hoover Upright, and curl up peacefully at the foot of your bed, keeping both feet warm all night!!
HA! Cats win!!

GOD: A Biography

KT do you honestly think that such a universal idea has no basis in some type of common denominator?

» Posted By jkkFL On June 5, 2011 @ 7:22 pm

AND, once again the woman is front and center….doing harm…
I hope that critter chews on your assets!

» Posted By jkkFL On June 5, 2011 @ 6:38 pm

What’s that ominous critter eying your assets in the lower LH corner??? πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On June 5, 2011 @ 6:36 pm

Too funny, tex! But I guess it works for all of you. πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On June 5, 2011 @ 11:56 am

tex, are you tempting fate by trying to cut a deal with a God??? πŸ˜‰

» Posted By jkkFL On June 4, 2011 @ 8:53 pm

And I guess that is the explanation for my beliefs.. something has to be connecting it all- and it must be a Higher Power.

» Posted By jkkFL On June 4, 2011 @ 8:50 pm

ADONAI, are you aware of any society without a High Prophet, or Higher power of some sort?
(I’m not including atheists, who have made a conscious choice.)
I heard a comment once, that ‘if a society did not have a God, they would invent one, to explain the mysteries of life..’ do you disagree?

The Daily Planet, Vol. 76

It Is a problem in FL- the Citrus growers are actually buying bees, because of the problem.. there goes OJ price again :/
But, I’m a loyal Floridian, I’ll suck it up!

» Posted By jkkFL On May 17, 2011 @ 11:14 am

Cher- one reason SS funding is down is because of the lowering of the cap.. that was not taken into account because it was enacted after the Budget Office issued it’s projections.
Our complex is covered in Jasmine vines- and despite the cell density; I can assure there is No bee loss here! I have a few stingers to support my story, also!
I do hope they find a way to shield phone though; I would pay a few bucks more for a shielded phone..
Great stuff today! Thank you.

Cher, another outstanding round-up!

The Point of No Return

Are we authorized to sit in judgment? Do we want to? Do I care?? Not so much- I’d rather hear from Both sides..
As AdLib so skilfully pointed out, we have become us-them; black-white.
The Hardest lesson I ever had to learn is ‘there is more than one way to do something correctly’.
…and there are more colors in the pallete..
Moore may hire some non-union workers, but having been connected to SAG and AFTRA, I can damn sure guarantee he did not use non-union workers in major roles!

“For all of the different jobs on the movie that could have used union labor, Moore used union labor, except for one job, the stagehands, represented by IATSE,” said a labor source unauthorized to talk about Moore’s decision not to hire members of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.”

Sometimes it pays to do a little research…
