Bought an lcd tv 3yrs ago(there are no US manufacturers), at 3yr and 2mo, it would come on and immediately shut off. Called repair shop he said the power module was bad and was very expensive to replace.
Called the company directly, power module was $300! with repair it would have been about $350!
Caught a sale and found a similar tv for $319.

And the auther isn’t even adding the time teachers spend at home, grading papers, preparing class posters- bulletin boards, entering grades- first manually, then in the computer; along with posting standards levels, talking to parents on the phone, preparing evaluation paperwork for students who are in need of special assistance, -all AT HOME!
Teachers also spend on average $400/yr purchasing supplies, paying field trip fees for underpriveledged students, keeping the playing field level as possible for all students.
My sister was a teacher for 32 yrs. She made sure kids had coats-(sometimes at the expense of her own kids,) had uniforms, had shoes, and bought lunches for kids who had forgotten/ used up their lunch allowances.
The $400/average actually is closer to $600-700/yr. None of these are reimbursible expenses.

FL may have a collective bargaining ‘requirement’, but the truth is there are few unions outside of police and firefighters-and Disney.
This state would crucify Any union rep who came in and tried to organize a mass union effort.
Any state that pays it’s unemployed less than minimum wage, and is looking to reduce benefits to 20 wks from 26 is not going to put up with Unions!
Fact is, most employee handbooks state you will be terminated without notice if you engage in Any organizing or initiating union activity. Even being in posession of union paperwork is grounds for dismissal.
