Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

2ccp– they were supposed to come to FL to protest a funeral;the Chief of Police said if they did, he would arrest them. When asked what he would arrest them for, he replied that at some point they would break some law, and he could then throw them in jail. He is known as a bit of a loose cannon, but he has been Chief for forever, so clearly he is supported.
The funeral was held -the memorial route was guarded by hundreds of bikers, with flags on their Hogs. Total silence.
They did not come.

As a dreaded Yankee in the south, old habits die hard. I check the Chicago Trib, and the Sun-Times for national/world news, being a mid westerner.
The Trib occasionally goes on membership binges but it’s free, and I have been a member so long I don’t know if they currently are or not.
I know, the Trib leans right, but I can always spot check the Sun-Times if I smell a mouse..rarely is there a rat!

Because their support is carefully orchestrated. If you track their contributions they are careful to fund innocuous programming. Anything that goes against their political grain, there is no mention of the Koch Foundation. Watch the credits on your favorite shows; you will be able to see the pattern.

boomer- I had the same thought, but read on AlterNet- I think, that Roger Ailes might be up to his ass in alligators, for emailing some female to lie to the judiciary committee about an affair, so as not to reflect badly on Guiliani..

Sadly, FL is one of their major targets.
I probably see a story of some little old person being scammed out of boatloads of money by them at least once a month- that, and people who have ‘won’ and need to ‘pay taxes’ to collect their winnings..grrr
