It may have been an HP headline, but I went to the Time article directly, and it was the same.
I apologize, I haven’t been here very long, but as a history major for most of my life, Research is my standard. I do my research, and then I decide.
My guess is that ‘SCV’ quote was more likely the work of
SSCV.

You ‘may not be able to reason with this’, but are you not as guilty as the producer, if you don’t research something before throwing it out as fresh meat???
Just as there Are two sides to every story, there are many fractured organizations. The reaction I see here, is just as culpable as what you see in the video.

I live in the South- as a DamnYankee. Most areas of the South have been so homogenized thru the years, that there is little radicalism, except in isolated pockets. For TIME to say the South “Is split on Civil War Legacy” is a narrow, and largely faulty assessment.
Just as Pennsylvania has Gettysburg, and other historical sites, so does the South.
Missippi is a world unto itself!
To lump all southern states under a “Sacred Civil War” banner is inaccurate.
If that is true, would northeast FL not still be trying to reunite with Spain? After all, they have the Castillo de San Marcos, started in 1687. Now that’s some History!
TIME has a shock doctrine type of journalism, and it is no more valid than any other rag.

Buddy,
Do your little quadripeds wake you, or do they just start when you stumble into the kitchen?
Clearly, cats are too autocratic to be useful in social injustice, but after about 10Am, I do get to the point I like mine again!
One is a relentless early riser- the other rarely wakes up before 11.. why couldn’t I have gotten 2 sleepy-heads??

Is the pinkish one a pitcher plant?
I had a venus flytrap for years, in the house because our place bordered on a woods- the plant got pretty big- and it ate the flies that came in!
