Not to mention that union membership is at a historical low..in some southern states it would barely cause a ripple- unless non-union workers joined them..
I think job-fear would be an overriding factor.

Good morning.
Discovery just rattled our doors and windows- (and scared the crap out of the cats!) on her final return to KSC!
365 total days in flight, 39 missions. She goes to the Smithsonian after being decommissioned.
Florida loves our awesome birds.
Life will never be the same without them.

If you own the Land, but not the mineral rights, Big Oil comes in, drills on your land and you get nada. If someone else owns the mineral rights to your land- they get the profits- you still get nada!

LITTLE GIRL ON A PLANE
A Republican congressman was seated next to a
little girl on an airplane so he turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your
fellow passenger.”
The little girl, who had just started to read her book, replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk about?”
“Oh, I don’t know,” said the congressman. “How about global warming,
universal health care, or stimulus packages?” as he smiled smugly.
“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps.
Why do you suppose that is?”
The legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence,
thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”
To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified to discuss global warming, universal health care, or the
economy, when you don’t know shit?”
And then she went back to reading her book.

Pepe, tell her to take half a Benedryl tablet, put some good music on her phone or ipod. The Benedryl will make her slightly drowsy, the music will too, and she won’t realize she’s on a plane. (That is if she can take Benedryl, of course.)
I do this because I’m claustrophobic- and I have a small frame- so invariibly the largest passenger on the flight picks the seat next to me- it freaks me out 🙂

We have those stupid lizards here all the time. My friend’s wife is terrified of them, and she screams everytime she sees one! Noisy house- they have 🙂

Now, When was a walk with a cat boring??? I let Sam and Persia out on my balcony, and they make me laugh with the things they try!
C’mon PW- we haven’t seen much of Maggie this week.
Does she bring lizards in the house? Mine do- and and we end up with one on the ceiling- and 2 crazy cats for a couple of days!
