Displaying 0 To 0 Of 0 Comments Hey Cleo, welcome to your new place. It’s awfully good here. Lots of former HP folks, me being one. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 14, 2011 @ 5:19 pm I went back to chat with a friend today and I didn’t recognize the place. I went to talk to her and saw the comments and made a couple on non-Iran. Didn’t get modded even though I was pretty dismissive of what’s going on there. Got two of the newbie righties to respond with the smuggest comments. Like they’d conquered the place and driven us off. God, was that all it was about? I’m guessing the right (I’m going to use that instead of conservative to respect your position) is trying to whip up Iranian invasion support. Can we keep our nose out of anyone’s business? » Posted By jdmn17 On February 14, 2011 @ 5:12 pm Holy shit. I knew the new cheesehead was a wacko but this really takes the cake. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 14, 2011 @ 11:39 am Among other things. I still think they are pissed at us for not thanking them for helping us win our freedom from the Brits » Posted By jdmn17 On February 13, 2011 @ 12:57 pm Sabreen, I would have known you by your iridescent eyes. I don’t know I ever knew your “name”. I knew you were someone I fanned and always looked for your glow. Words too. Glad you are here » Posted By jdmn17 On February 13, 2011 @ 12:56 pm Even though their actions along with B&N killed off most the truly awesome bookstores in MSP I preferred Borders by a long way over BN. Sad to see it happen. They had a store down in Uptown in Minneapolis, great place and they always had tables full of sale books out in the front entrance (covered mini-mall) and I cursed many time when I struggled inside with my arms full. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 13, 2011 @ 12:53 pm Boomer – isn’t she becoming rhetorical in her own way? Before I went to HP I saw her talking about her left leaning/progressive site (I know, I know, she said she never said that but that’s another conversation) and I didn’t go right away because she looked like a conservative and I thought it couldn’t be much of a site. Live and learn. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 13, 2011 @ 8:20 am I used to travel to Europe for business and was often mistaken for a Canadian. I’m half Canadian anyway but when I travel my accent becomes decidedly so. I had a friend in Paris tell me once it was an honor to be mistaken for a Canadian since the US wasn’t all that popular in France. I guess they took umbrage with renaming French Fries to Freedom Fries. Ha! » Posted By jdmn17 On February 13, 2011 @ 8:08 am Hey truth. Welcome again. Nothing really matters but your words. I suspect we talk among each other like brothers and sisters but put us all in a large auditorium we would probably laugh at how superficially we differ. So what’s under the skin is what makes people great. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 13, 2011 @ 7:27 am My kids have got it loading in the Blue Ray. Catch you all later » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 5:07 pm Ferra, Thanks. As much as I dismiss her chances, one needs to keep a vigilant eye out on her. The worst thing would be to put her out of our minds and have her sneak back in. I don’t care that she’s fleecing her base. If they are dumb enough to send her their hard earned or SS check money then I can’t help them. I’m sure the new CoS is nothing more than window dressing. I’m guessing someone did the math and realized they could get ten times more in donations than the dude will cost. More grifting. She makes my grandmothers gypsy grandparents look like amateurs. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:57 pm BDM Breakfast for dinner is Friday nights here at home. Kids come by, we rotate waffles, pancakes, French (or Freedom for the disaffected) toast and eggs/hash browns and veggie bacon. We make it together and scrunch into our tiny kitchen table and eat together while we keep cooking. Then we talk about what’s going on, clean up and eat ice cream cones. We’ve been doing it for years, took a few teen of off too college years hiatus. Now they are both in town and we are back at it. It’s so bonding and a blast » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:49 pm I tried to earn a Lindsay Lohan badge but she told me they didn’t make one. Damn » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:45 pm PW, she’s a hypocrite already trying to rewrite history of the site. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:44 pm I got so used to spelling crap as carp I actually wrote my son an email and did it. He wrote me back and chastised me for my spelling (#()%&$#*(%&$# kids! And anyway, who the fuck were they trying to kid? You couldn’t say crap and someone could post the N word (sorry even here it’s so offensive to me I can’t write it) over and over again? What the fuck? » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:43 pm I thought I picked that up from you on HP, that’s why I fanned you back there. I’m sure that was the reason, or was it the doghouse? » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:41 pm One think about here Truth, If you post a comment it goes. I grew so tired of posting something, getting a reply I could read but not being able to open the response because it was being modded, and in the last few weeks, more often than not, deleted. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:35 pm I loved all the creative ways people said the forbidden. Some were so out there I would sit puzzled for minutes at a time. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:27 pm R*U#I*N+E)D Y$O#U#R $$P*E*L^L*I#N@G??? What ever are you talking about. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:25 pm Well, that does explain the city sections and the divorce. So she knew all along things were changing there? Hmmm. Now I am feeling even less charitable towards her. She had a right to make money, we all do but to scam people while doing it is not my cup of tea. And the simplistic way she explains their being general news not slanted now makes sense. Sort of like thinking your spouse is being unfaithful but trusting them even though you find “love” cards, receipts from strange places, and a sudden appearance of flowers that customers gave her. It all makes sense. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 4:24 pm Truth, she has many connections over there and was lamenting that fact to a couple of her ‘sisters’ there. I think she’s freaked about the exodus and she’s seen the names of people here who are no longer posting there. We all need our own time and space eh? » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 3:28 pm KB – I got a suppressed note from her, she’s heading over for a longer look this weekend » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 3:24 pm KQ, what the hell happened or was it ever really open and honest? It may be that we are simply seeing it because of the blogs like this one which tends to bring a number of people who have access or time to access a variety of sites and condense it in one place. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 3:20 pm I use to joke about the Canadians sneaking into MN to dilute our population and inject a sense of socialism into the conversations at restaurants. But I really think I’ve come full circle. I think they come her to gawk at us in disbelief we are falling apart at the seams. I do notice the cars headed north toward Canada drive a lot faster than the cars coming south. They can hardly wait to get home. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 3:17 pm Bito, you just did that out of old getting past the mods habits at HP » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 3:10 pm So let me get this straight. CPAC, SP got nothin but on the same day she’s hiring a Chief of Staff? I really have to wonder about her sanity. I would love to see how much they’ve copied the Oval Office in that set Fox built for her at her home. Maybe complete with the Eagle Rug? CoS, what for? Foreign policy meeting with her, Todd and RAM? » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 3:02 pm Haley I fear reminds me far too much of Pappy O’Daniel played so well by John Durning in O Brother Where Art Thou. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 2:58 pm I don’t know about Red Wing, most of the meat of her constituency is north of the cities, historically where the ultra right, not so wealthy (as opposed to the southwest metro which is right and rich) tended to congregate. They of the mega churches, slanted toward “family values” while they practice otherwise (do as I say, not as I do). They have always been notoriously a little wacky and are often referred to here as a little too inbred. Red Wing was the home of two great union shops, Red Wing Pottery and Red Wing shoes. At the same time they are very conservative there so given the penchant for the evangelistic right to vote for religious issues instead of their own best interests it’s no surprise if they follow the crazy eyes. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 2:56 pm KB, I almost did that the other day, old habits » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 2:15 pm In brief and courtesy of a google search. She slammed POTUS over Egypt and for not telling the American people everything that was going on behind the scenes (ignoring she called for Assange’s death for sharing what was going on in the past) and who was going to be in charge (like that’s OUR decision?) and said we should not stand for the Muslim Brotherhood taking over (what exactly she thinks we should do to make sure that doesn’t happen isn’t explained of course – she never offers solutions). Further she is now agitating for us to put pressure on IRAN~! so we can force them using the same tactics we used in Egypt (after just saying we did nothing there) to become a democracy. As always Sara says everything and nothing. She has her hands full right now having just hired a Chief of Staff to prepare her for the 2012 Presidential run (apparently the cash cow needs to be fed again, her burn rate must be impressive). And of course she has her hands full in other places; 1. The suppressed emails are coming closer to release. It should all be more great drama, quite entertaining and headline grabbing at HP. I doubt it will cause a blip of interest here. Too many other real issues. » Posted By jdmn17 On February 12, 2011 @ 2:13 pmComments Posted By jdmn17

2. Joe McGinnis’ book is due late summer and there are rumors that there are some bombs in there
3. Shaily Tripp has ended her little side trip with NE and is talking to one and all. That story will soon be making the rounds of the media.
4. Toddster remains MIA during her last sightings, despite the kids being with her – has anyone called the cops and asked them to look to see if he’s alive or being kept in a room ala Kathy Bates in Misery?
5. The famous “babygate” story is back alive and kicking. There have been people putting together a lot of interviews, graphics and photo’s, many suppressed showing how implausible it was for her to have been pregnant.
