I liked the opening with Doogie Howser or Patrick Harris and thought Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were hilarious and my favorite part was when Steve Martin motioned to the side and said, “Here’s the Inglorious Bastards” and Alec Baldwin said and motioned to the other side and said, “Here’s the cast.” We did see the “Hurt Locker” and I agree with Pepe that it was a very good movie, and it kept you on the edge of your seat throughout, so it did deserve the win. I was very happy that the actor from Ingloreous Basterds won best supporting actor, because he played that part so very well. I am always upset when Meryl Streep loses, and I don’t get that – in that the greatest actress of our generation always gets nominated but has only won 2, but Sandra Bullock was good, too, but really, Meryl was robbed again. I am glad that Avatar lost best movie, because the plot was lame, even though the special effects were awesome, especially in 3-D. And as for George Clooney, well, he deserves an Oscar for just being George Clooney, and well, you guys talked about who your mothers looked like – my father looked like George Clooney, and had the identical mischievous twinkle in the eye, and shit-eating grin. The move comes after a Pima County judge accused Thomas of misusing his authority to investigate county supervisors, and doing so for political gain. The state Supreme Court on Monday appointed attorney J. Scott Rhodes to act as independent bar counsel. Rhodes will investigate whether Thomas violated the state bar code of ethics. The High Court also appointed former Chief Justice Charles Jones to review the information that comes out of this investigation. For more than a year, Thomas and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio have investigated county supervisors Mary Rose Wilcox and Don Stapley. Both supervisors have argued that the investigations were political in nature, rather than based on any wrongdoing. Renewal and extension of the Patriot Act – check! Still in Iraq and we will remain in Iraq because the Iraq government needs the US to help stabilize the new government – check! Gitmo still open – check! An escalation of war in Afghanistan and more of our troops have been killed in Afghanistan since the escalation than under all the years of BushCO – check! Hardly any coverage by the MSM about either war and American casualties – check! Foreclosures rising – check! Unemployment rising – check! Big bonuses to Wall Street – check! Yes, there have been some good things, and even great things under Obama that have helped, but we are far from recovery and saving the middle class.
