When we went to a baseball game on St. Patrick’s Day, I was the designated driver, for our 73 year old friend and my husband, and then we went into their house, as Dick invited us in. I know that I’ve voiced anti-Obama talk on this site in the past, and what an outrage that caused, but I’ve taken a break, and reevaluated it all, plus I read his books, and sadly, I hate to admit, but I think that I expected too much from him and yes, it was because of his race. I’ve changed my mind and my husband has had a lot to do with that, and when it comes to the race thing, well, I’ve grown up and recognize now that even the far left is very racist and that’s a very hard thing to admit, but I think it’s truth. I’m proud of myself actually, for recognizing the racist attitude that has been buried deep within me and overcoming it. We just finished watching the Ken Burns series on the Civil War, for a second time on PBS, and my gosh, we are going back, but in reality we’re not going back, as things have never progressed from that time anyway. They were just hidden, and not very well, but the racist attitudes are out in the open in the 21st century for all to see. The radical left is a mirror of the radical right, in my very humble opinion. Obama has never been a commie-pinko-socialist-liberal but he’s always been a centrist, and I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Obama, for what he was dealt when becoming President with another Great Depression looming, that he just may be the greatest President in history. Compromise is key, as there was no compromise back when Abe Lincoln was president and that led to the Civil War. Plus. When you think about it, we’re still a fairly young country. Corruption has always run deep. We need to get out the vote because not enough people vote, so it’s the minority that chooses who runs our government. And our rain gauge shows almost 3/4 of an inch of rain, which is a very good thing, as we were down 1.5 inches than we should be at this time of year. They’ve closed the highway to Flagstaff – I-17 – due to snow, and this is not unusual for us to get a break whereby we get snow and cold and rain, but this is most likely our last break before the HOT. Corporations always think quarterly, and it’s a damn shame that none of them remember Henry Ford, because for all of his bad qualities that he got it. He paid his employees enough, even though he was a real son-of-a-bitch, but he paid his employees enough so that they could buy his product. We’re in a crisis in these United States of America, whereby our government is so corporate, as is our Supreme Court, and corporations never see beyond the quarter profits, and they regard people who work for them as dispensable. Here’s my prediction, for what’s it worth, and my opinion means nothing, but this recession is already turning around. Look at Boeing, who outsourced so heavily, and they are paying big time in bringing their manufacturing and engineering back to the USA, because they were losing money from mistakes. Look for more corporations, since they have a lot of money from shareholders, but look for big corporations to start re-investing in the USA and American workers. They want to bust the unions, but they’re not going to be able to do that, as more and more manufacturing jobs come back here. Corporations are already hurting for engineers, and look for an all out hiring of American workers. The tragedy in Japan, well, it’s going to bring more jobs home here, as Japan already had automotive plants here, but look to that, as this is where Toyota will bring their headquarters. History tells us that when there is a Great Depression, or even when unemployment was high during the Carter/Reagan/Bush Sr years, that once we start to recover, and there are signs that we are starting to recover, that there are not going to be enough American workers when the economy takes off. And it’s going to take off, so hold onto your hats. Outsourcing and illegal immigration is going to be needed, and it all has something to do with us babyboomers, and how we didn’t procreate enough. LMFAO Sounds good? I’ll bet you a nickle, that it will happen, because history is indeed repeating itself. Oh, and here’s another thing – Green Energy – meaning windmills and clean energy – that’s going to help in the recovery!
