I don’t comment, as it’s all just so much material, and really, it helps me with news from other areas of the world and you educate me. I’m not sure if this is actually my fault, but I regret it so much if it is. The majority of our neighbors are Republicans – FOX loving Republicans. We do have a neighbor right across the street that are also Democrats, but as for being liberal, well, not so sure, just as I am not quite sure that I’m a liberal or progressive, even though I vote Democrat 99% of the time. The Democrats across the street are super nice people, or were, but they were always friendly to everyone and willing to help anyone with anything. I got super pissed off at our good friends, who are Republican rednecks and there is no other way to describe them, but they are people who helped us when our daughter died while we were in France, and we could have never gotten through any of that without them. But I got super pissed off at them for being Republicans and quoting Glenn Beck, and making racial comments and then I did a very bad thing. I told the Democrats across the street, the things, the racial things and Glenn Beck quotes from the Republican neighbors that helped us through so much. I feel so awful about this. But I was so pissed, yet I never NOT considered the Republican people as being bad and still love them as friends. I was just so pissed off, and in the heat of the moment, screwed up and told the Democrat neighbors about the Republican neighbors. Our Republican neighbors – we always exchange Christmas gifts and we were over there, and the thing that pissed me off is long gone into my memories that no longer exist. They asked us if we talk to the other Democrat neighbors – and it gets strange here – the Republican guy works for the water company and the Democrat wife was laid off, so he gave her an application for the water company. Over 300 people applied, and the Republican neighbor got the Democrat lady an interview, which is something big, and something rare, and then when the Democrat lady did not get the job, the Democrat neighbors started hating the Republicans BIG time. This makes no sense, but I’m going to write it anyway. The Democrat neighbors – the husband is Mexican and 3rd generation and they have daughters and black grandbabies. So, when the Republican neighbors asked us about the Democrat neighbors – the Democrat neighbors are now treating our Republican friends very badly – both of them almost cried. It really hurt them that the water company guy went out of his way to get the wife an interview, and now they hate them. No good deed goes unpunished. We are sort of in the middle, because I did ask the Democrat wife why she hates the Republicans that tried to help her get a job, and she said it’s because he’s a racist bigot. They will read the Constitution aloud.
Whereby people who aren’t ‘rich’ seem to be more content and happy with their families, friends and the possessions they do have.
Of course, those were back in the days when there weren’t home PCs, Ipods, Ipads, flat screen TVs, cellphones, and satellite/dish TV.
Does that make sense?
Besides being better for the environment and not using oil, the fungi/compound doesn’t burn like Styrofoam.
We’re so insulated from the wars and the military and their families.
I think it’s less than 1% of the population that serves and the MSM rarely covers the war or the cost of war on the troops and their families.
