LOL » Posted By funksands On August 10, 2011 @ 9:02 pm At least you like Anthony Bourdain. » Posted By funksands On August 10, 2011 @ 8:49 pm Adonai, I think you’ll like this song. Should bring the mood down even further. 🙂 The song might be a little too synth for your tastes, but the lyrics are great. » Posted By funksands On August 10, 2011 @ 8:49 pm Great site for live election results: http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/127331193.html » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 5:35 pm Conrad is retiring. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 5:31 pm Louie Gohmert, Virginia Foxx, and a chimpanzee with leprosy. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 5:12 pm Cher, your link doesn’t work. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 4:41 pm Jkk I personally blame you for David Caruso’s continued career. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 4:36 pm Baucus does suck. However he is another entitlement protector. He is a true-believer on the deficit though. Oh and a hopeless shill for big business. I can’t read them from more than a minute or two before I have to stop. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 4:33 pm I know some of you have seen this story, but its still a good one. A 9-year old girl from my town was killed in a car crash a short while ago. Tragic. Something amazing has come from it: “Rachel’s family said she did have a final wish. For her birthday in June, she told everybody she didn’t want any presents. She wanted people to donate to Charitywater.org, a group that drills wells and brings fresh water to people in developing countries. “No problem,” she told her family. “Next year for a tenth birthday I’ll just work harder and raise more!” Her church Pastor Ryan Meeks said Rachel seemed to naturally recognize when people needed help. Rachel’s donation page was re-opened when she was in the hospital. By the time KING 5’s Elisa Hahn told her story Friday night, news Rachel’s total was up to $6,000. Monday evening it climbed past $140,000. By Thursday morning, more than $540,000 had been raised.” As of yesterday the fund was up over $900,000. Absolutely amazing. http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2011/08/rachel_beckwiths_clean-water_d.php Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 3:41 pm Boy you are right on though. I do blame the South for all of the shitty tv that is still on the air. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 3:16 pm Senator Patty Murray selected to SuperDuperPooper Congress. I know Sen. Murray. She is a good Senator, honest, and a staunch defender of veterans, a solid defender defense industry (some call her Senator Boeing) and entitlements. You don’t get a lot of bullshit from her either. Which is why her selection is a bit curious. She nearly got a fantastic bill to help homeless women veterans through the Senate, trying three times, but each time it was filibustered. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 3:11 pm Em, many state GOP legislatures want to subject any woman considering an abortion to undergo a psychological evaluation. In my opinion, any woman considering voting Republican should be subjected to a thorough psychological evaluation. There is no organized group that has done more harm to the health and welfare of women in this country than the GOP Therefore I view those that rise through the ranks of the national GOP with extreme distrust. Collins and Snowe are holdovers from another time, safe in their political preserve of Maine. » Posted By funksands On August 9, 2011 @ 10:43 am Sally you are a lifesaver! Rachel raised $220, pretty good for a 9-year-old but $80 short of her goal.
She didn’t get that chance of course, but boy, is she raising more money.
“I think that’s incredibly mature for anybody, let alone a child of nine,” Meeks said.
Glad to hear you are well.
