Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

Cher, I think I should take the exact opposite approach. I do not want to embarrass the boss in front of his clients. (We’re all on a business dating basis.) I think I’ll have to gently finesse this–or ignore it and prove myself all on my own.

God–you’re killing me.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:45 pm

For America–I didn’t see any gravy, either.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:42 pm

Cher–I ignored it, which makes me an accomplice to ignorance. I hate that. Because there is follow up business, I’m thinking I can compose an email that will correctly use the words “diverge” and “divulge” IN CONTEXT without any further comment or correction. Thoughts?

Ha! It was REALLY awkward all the way around. Only he doesn’t know it. That’s EXTRA EXTRA awkward. (Netflixing “Princess Bride” even as I type.)

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:36 pm

Kalima–of course, not all. I have all good men in my life. Father, husband, brother, son and more.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:31 pm

funksands–you absolutely nailed it. I am unemployable, except to myself. (And I’m considering firing me.)

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:29 pm

Oh, fuck. Both. Where are the deviled eggs?

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:27 pm

Shoot. I keep forgetting to check the damn “notify me” box.

Really OT–I sat for 3 hours in a meeting yesterday with new clients where the program presenter (the guy who hired me) used the word “divulge” when he meant to say “diverge” no fewer than 12 times. What does one do with that?

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:26 pm

Kalima–“man is an insensitive idiot…,” if we’re lucky.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:22 pm

Cher &funk–even I figgered that out. Go, sands! You can do it!

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:20 pm

Cool.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:18 pm

I suspected as much.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:13 pm

Are you my boss? Fess up.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:12 pm

Laissez les bons temps rouler! This is all the French (Cajun) I know. But I really mean it. Kisses and beads, all.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 8:10 pm

God–Now that I look up close, I completely agree with your mathematical sentence.

P.S. How long must I refer to you as “God?”

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 7:59 pm

HH–And we’re not offered this mug as a “sustaining member” of planetpov? I incens—nevermind. I can’t spell that. I’m disappointed.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 7:55 pm

No math, god. We had a deal.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 7:51 pm

Cher–that’s orgasmic. Or that guy is.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 7:50 pm

HH–“Honey badger don’t care, honey badger don’t give a shit.”

I LOVE HONEY BADGER. I want to be honey badger.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 7:48 pm

Sabreen–and it is good.

» Posted By chasethis On March 8, 2011 @ 7:45 pm

So, Rep Peter King is calling for hearings next week to investigate “the radicalization of American Muslims.” When is someone going to call a hearing to investigate the radicalization of American Republicans? Sheesh.

» Posted By chasethis On March 4, 2011 @ 2:29 pm

Cher, from what I recall Spider deserved it. But I’m old school.

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 8:29 pm

Cher–You do win. But in the first few bars of this song, my nether parts became….well, not white. 🙄 Young Pat Boone was kinda yummy–especially when accosted by Ann-Margaret in State Fair. (This is another in a series of “That Is So White” series.

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 8:23 pm

Khirad–Out white this. (I have no idea what the subtitles are about.)

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 6:25 pm

Boomer–I had Lennon (sp) Sisters paperdolls!

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 6:18 pm

Killgore, I had two accounts, multiple email addresses associated with gravatar issues. AdLib is my hero today.

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 6:17 pm

Khirad–that’s up for debate. 🙄

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 6:16 pm

Killgore–Indeed! The good news is that the tweaks AdLib made are working. Thanks for responding.

» Posted By chasethis On March 3, 2011 @ 5:46 pm

Adonai–Here’s something even whiter.
