» Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 8:22 pm KT–My mind is rarely made up. It’s a curse and a blessing. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 8:16 pm Yes! Laughing out loud and annoying friends with “I’ve just got to read you this one, er, two, um wait, five paragraphs–I mean pages.” Hiaasen is brilliant. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 8:12 pm jkk–I read his every book, even though they’re all essentially the same. (Recurring characters, anyway.) He’s mean and evil through and through–in the very best way. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 8:04 pm Adonai–Ar, ar ar. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 8:00 pm Bito–Ahh! Still don’t want to ask him any questions. I notice he didn’t offer any answers! » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:59 pm KT & Adonai–Hitch did not shoot my dog. I have an aversion to the man that’s based on fun and lively arguments that I cannot relate to you right now. (It’s 10:27 central!) It’s just fun picking a fight with like-minded people. An exercise in something that doesn’t involve actual exercise. Peace. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:58 pm jkkFL–Carl Hiaasen is my environmental evil hero! » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:52 pm Adonai–One thumb up? You’re easy to please. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:45 pm KT–it’s his integrity, or lack thereof, with which I have the biggest problem. I admit that my feelings are visceral and not overly researched. Based on readings, interviews and other media exposures, I’ve dismissed Hitchens. If you feel strongly about it, convince me otherwise. As a big fat lib, I’m open. ;> » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:44 pm KT–If Hitch volunteered to be water-boarded, it was so he could write more accurately about promoting himself. That is NOT journalistic integrity. That’s Donald Trump. (Respectfully submitted.) » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:33 pm One thumb up. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:29 pm KT–Respectfully, give me a break. So did right wing radio guy. Didn’t Beck? (I could be confused.) It is not journalistic integrity. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:28 pm Who is Todd and why can’t I ask him any questions? » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:25 pm Hitchens is a simpleton. Oh, and he’s a fucking drunk. I say these things without reservation or citation. Discuss. » Posted By chasethis On May 3, 2011 @ 7:23 pm Osama bin Laden. Dead. Yes. » Posted By chasethis On May 1, 2011 @ 8:13 pm With the exception of Seth, that was a lot of fun. Seth had his moments. The Donald? Not so much. » Posted By chasethis On April 30, 2011 @ 7:59 pm And on now, Al Franken hosting the dinner in 1996. CSpan doing a fabulous job! » Posted By chasethis On April 30, 2011 @ 6:22 pm Who else is watching the WH Correspondent’s Dinner? http://www.c-span.org/Live-Video/C-SPAN/ Poor Seth. They just played a portion from the 2006 dinner. I believe it may have been the only time I ever laughed at Shrub. » Posted By chasethis On April 30, 2011 @ 6:19 pm Happy birthday, Adonai. You’re one of the best gods ever. And since you admire JFK–
» Posted By chasethis On April 30, 2011 @ 6:15 pm bito–I CARE! I’ve been looking forward to this all day. Wish I could find a list of exactly who the member press invited. Trump is there. This should be interesting. C-Span ran a partial list. It was hilarious Ms. Obama looks ravishing. » Posted By chasethis On April 30, 2011 @ 5:25 pm Who was it on Vox Populi last night that was going to dream about Gary Busey? Ad Lib? Here’s a little clip from an old local show we would watch on Saturday nights giving us an excuse to break curfew. “We’re gonna watch Mazeppa, Dad. Be home right after.” Here’s the show’s intro. Busey was also one of the writers. Coach Chuck featuring a very young, possibly sane Busey. Want more (prolly not)? Google Teddy Jack Eddy.
» Posted By chasethis On April 30, 2011 @ 12:36 pm Adonai–If I recall correctly (and that’s never a given), Gore distanced himself from the Clintons, the Clinton administration, the Clinton team, all things Clinton going into the 2000 campaign. That rift wasn’t smoothed over until the aftermath of 9/11. [phone rings, chase answers] Shoot! After taking that phone call, I have no idea where I was going with this. So, CHEERS! » Posted By chasethis On April 28, 2011 @ 3:49 pm Adonai, jkk and other Eeyore lovers–mark your calendars! 48th Annual Eeyore’s Birthday Party is next weekend. Seriously silly fun. You must check out some of the pics from years past. » Posted By chasethis On April 23, 2011 @ 11:06 am You’re a good mom, AuntieChrist. » Posted By chasethis On April 22, 2011 @ 3:05 pm HH–Speaking of the HP headline, the comments on that article the other day were just awful. “Let Texas burn, they deserve it” and comments of that ilk leading the pack of haters. Made me sad. » Posted By chasethis On April 22, 2011 @ 3:03 pm HH–Thanks for asking. Contrary to the HP “BORDER TO BORDER IN FLAMES” headline, we’re mostly okay around the Austin area. It’s dry as a bone and last weekend, we had a fire spring up about 5 miles west of here (290 & 71–the Y at Oak Hill). It took a day to contain, but it was a little scary and our neighborhood got a bit smokey. So, we fired up the grill and made it REALLY smokey. We had the garden hose handy. 🙄 » Posted By chasethis On April 22, 2011 @ 3:00 pm PW-Mmmmmm, I can feel my arteries seizing up just thinking about prime rib and smashed taters. » Posted By chasethis On April 22, 2011 @ 2:27 pmComments Posted By chasethis
