The budget deficit in fiscal 2011 and 2010 was $1.3 trillion, while the Obama stimulus law pushed the deficit up to $1.4 trillion in fiscal 2009. My questions are “What more should the Dems do, allow the shut down of government, with all it’s consequences, or find a way to compromise? The other one, if not the fist, what more can the Dems do?
Where did/does this whole theme of “Obama/Dems caved even come from? Karl Rove or the PL pudnuts and is it just a squirrel? Think about it, is it meant to further the hate and defeat of PBO? Do you think shutting down the government would not reflect poorly on the President while the economy is still shaky and ending UI benefits would be a bonus to the Dems and PBO? I think for many that are worried about the choice of paying the rent or being homeless, they aren’t particular about blame, they blame all politicians.
(I’m getting a bit weary of agreeing with you 90% of the time. 😉 )
