That is a perfect line. What purpose does it serve for “The Government” to make a profit, would it not serve a better purpose to make college/ high education affordable? The other side of the coin was/is PBO and the Dems took the path of stimulus and while the US is sluggish with only moderate growth, there isn’t any signs of a double dip, until now. Europe could drag down the US economy along with Obama, it’s very possible. And now Romney/Ryan wants to mimic the UK, even after they have gone back into recession. If the states are the “laboratory of democracies,” do we have to look any further than Illinois v Wisconsin? Neighboring states in the Midwest. Illinois chose stimulus and taxing the top 2%, WI, under Gov. Walker chose austerity along with cutting taxes on the top 2%. I do remember at one of the G-8 plus meetings that PBO attended he pushed for stimulus over austerity and he lost the argument, Germany did try some, and the R’s made a big deal about him failing.
Watched a bit of Parliament the other day and Labour was challenging the coalition, a bit too little, a bit too late? The trend line to a double dip was obvious, but they kept up cutting. Because it was the right thing to do, or because the Tories didn’t want to admit it wasn’t working? Even Mr. Adams, the father of capitalism, knew it was wrong. You can’t cut during a deep downturn.
When should people stop banging their heads against a brick wall just to be obstinate? And this is what Romney/Ryan want to due? Not only Obama need to be reelected, he needs a congress that will work with him.

The European Union and the Tories in the UK took the path of “austerity” shall we call that the Romney/Ryan plan? Because that is what their budget calls for. And the result has Spain, Greece and the UK falling into a double dip. The rest of the EU isn’t do much better.
How much more proof do we need that than the EU plus the UK and Wisconsin that proves that austerity (the Romney Plan) don’t work. You can’t cut back during a recession!
