I am not surprised that he is a Blue Dog at all, there is no way a librul could win in Indiana these days, but he may have a chance now and caucus with the Dems, vote with the Dems 75-80% of the times and help keep the Dems in leadership. My biggest fear is that the purists get involved and kill any chance he has.
I’m that way, there are just some seats that a liberal cannot win (my district) but a moderate can against a bagger. They ran out the Senator in Arkansas, who voted with the Dems 80+% of the time (can’t remember her name) and what did we get a conservative R who votes 100% of the time with the party. As angry as some blue dogs can anger me, I’ll take them over a R.

When he was in Congress, he was a moderate and I think many expected the same from him when he was ran for Gov., instead they got the Koch brothers favorite nephew (along with Scott Walker)
