Un(der)reported News —Weekend Edition

Thanks, j’avaz. I saw that this morning. I was shocked, I tell you, simply shocked. πŸ™‚ How much more do those blood suckers want?

» Posted By bito On December 5, 2009 @ 4:38 pm

I tried to watch it but it just kept “loading” for 4 mins. What can it hurt? get the bad guys pissed off?
It may show some support being from State rather than the military.

Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy ride again! A climate research center in Canada was broken into by burglars and hackers.

Andrew Weaver, a University of Victoria scientist and key contributor to the Nobel prize-winning work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, says there have been a number of attempted breaches in recent months, including two successful break-ins at his campus office in which a dead computer was stolen and papers were rummaged through.

Can’t say this will be un-reported (it won’t be), but I found this interesting.

Pres. Obama went to capital hill today to speak at the Senate Dem caucus.
OK. Now we can start the speculation.

It’s time for Liberals and Democrats to join the Teabaggers

I have been around politics awhile. My first national campaign was for JFK. I have never seen governing this uncivil. It has always been adversarial, which it should be.
But now it is very uncivil!

Edit: during the civil rights fights, yes, it did get bad.

AZ is getting hit hard by state and local taxes, while our legislature is cutting corp. an income taxes on the top tier.

» Posted By bito On December 4, 2009 @ 6:19 pm

I think I do. Read an article in “The Nation” today warning of populism of SP. And saying “Beware.” I also understand your frustration of whether it is Dems or repugs, they powers that be get the prime cuts and we get hot dogs. There is always work to do!

But has the GOP ever done anything about these, j’avaz? We have a party that has at least attempted to make some effort for the working class. Us stiff. They aren’t out trying to bust Unions.

» Posted By bito On December 4, 2009 @ 5:43 pm

There is a problem with the left. One is the left is in leadership. That makes a much easier target. Leadership includes making proposals that become targets. It is so much easier to say “you are wrong” than actually doing the heavy lifting.
Second, the right has much more enthusiasm. Again yelling “you lie”, is so much easier than trying to find solutions.
Third, Fear. The rights’ trump card! People want what they have known. Not what may be better for them but they have their comfort zone.
Fourth. the left can be lazy. The right gets out and demonstrates. Lefties blog. The right Gets Out The Vote! GOTV!!!
Examples are the contests in Virgina and New Jersey.
And what is it with the RC Bishops

Good post j’avaz

C’lady, This proposed buyout of NBC/Universal. This doesn’t sound good to me? How many jobs will be lost when they have to “slim down” to repay their debt?
Comcast already has Phones, cable, broad band. How many channels will now become premium channels?
Talk about Monopolies!
