The Physicians Foundation has a conflict of interest because they represent physicians–at least they claim to. They have an incentive to scare policymakers and the public into believing that unless physician payments are increased there will be no access to health care for Medicare patients.
More generally, Avik needs to decide if he wants to grow up and be a journalist/reporter or remain another partisan mouthpiece for the Romney campaign (which could be the Romney administration come 2013). There has been zero even-handed analysis on this blog over the past 2 months. I know this is Forbes, but come on. Is Avik jockeying for a position in the administration? He knows better.

He called FEMA wrong both in operation (send to states, privatize), the funding (Ryan and his party cut it and Romney Ryan want to cut it more, and his fraudulent “fund raiser.” All three ways he was a failure. he was silenced. His handling of the Jeep/GM situation was handled very poorly also, the only ones that bought was his base, he looked dumb. Another thing that is similar to 2008 and McCain is his handeling of the press, he has gone silent, 23 days now and since Sandy hit he won’t even answer a simple question, like McCain, even worse. There are probably more similarities with McCain and 2008, I’m sure you can list them, but the other side of it is that Obama has found his voice, and so have others. Reading the comment section really exposes the huge fraud the article, the author and Forbes magazine are on this. It has zero to no credibility.
First off the author, Avik Roy, “I am a Senior Fellow at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research and a member of Mitt Romney’s Health Care Policy Advisory Group….” And it seems that he gas written, C&Ped, the article more than once just changing the name of the state and some figures then finding someone to publish it.
I told him that I would mention him on PPOV and invited him to please feel free and write something on our site (if we were so lucky)

(This little encounter brightened my day!
I think that the biggest part of this week and his getting his voice back was he found and was able to use his “we are all Americans, we are in this together” theme, a theme he has used and used well when he was just a state senator, a speech he gave at the Dem Convention. Not is he only familiar with this, it is a large part of his core beliefs and he has used it multiple times this week.
Sandy and game changer perhaps, Mitt losing his pathetic and any ability to show his core beliefs, I’m not sure the reason, but I do feel better today an declare President Obama by 3.89% over Governor Romney!!
