Bernie Sanders tore into John Boehner and his fellow House Republicans for suggested cutting disabled veterans’ benefits in order to reduce the deficit. […] Boehner also called for a switch to the chained CPI, which would reduce annual cost-of-living adjustments for Social Security recipients, and for disabled veterans. One example, until this afternoon when the M.E.-Medical Examiner- spoke at the press conference it was widely reported that the children were shot with the hand guns, the M.E. said that they were all shot with the .223 assault rifle. It was said that most of the children were in kindergarten, wrong according to the M.E. Most were in first grade.
That’s just one example. I read that the father was an accountant with a completely different firm,and the list goes on. I’m just saying that perhaps we all should wait a little until the confusion settles out of the story.

It seems that opportunities are more often dismissed than praised and like I say there is a whole “industry” behind it that is new since around the 90’s and it may very well go hand in hand with your “instant gratification” if it takes too long, too much effort, it’s too much for me. Just too, too much for me.

That one round gun got me thinking: There was a time when I did some hunting to supplement my diet, mostly game birds rabbits and squirrels, and I wasn’t very good at that, not at all. 🙂 At one time my Great Aunt gave me her single shot small gauge shot gun that she learned to hunt on as a kid and she still kept it in perfect shape. Needless to say hunting with that gun made hunting a real challenge with only one shot and a small scatter pattern. One had to be good and the days I used it offered no threat to the critters.
After every shooting, and you know this as well as I do, that line is always used and we do nothing. If after the killing of such innocents this time are we going to ignore once again? Luckily the President in his speech today said that IT WILL BE ADDRESSED!

There were some in my family that we never saw any “papers’ on and the stories are a bit murky, there’s another side that we did ‘Seaman’s papers on and a couple of their trips to and fro “from the old country” but never any papers of citizenship, they just quit sailing one time when the were in the US. Could that be the “jumping ship” I have read about?

Something really stinks. We can pay for continuation of the wars and the war machinery, but not for the returning Vets. Trillions to continue wars and develop new and better killing machines, in fact as much as the next ten countries defense departments, but not the injured and used, wornout humans that are needed to make it function, we can’t afford that aspect.
