Lawrence O’Donnell tonight made a good argument that the outcome of this stalemate is actually a win for President Obama — the entitlement programs were largely sheltered from the deeper cuts they might have gotten under the supercommittee, and if Obama does nothing at all the Clinton tax rates will return and start bringing in revenue, finally.

The moderators were good, but the format still fails. There needs to be more time for following up and holding feet to the fire.

Also, I say do away with the stoopit partisan audience.
