Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

8) Too much patience AdLib, too much….

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 2:53 am

Sweet. Thanks, Khirad.

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 2:52 am

How is trying to save Arianna’s business venture more pressing than reading the books I wanted to get to, the articles I should have read, the drum music I wanted to practice, even the chores I was putting off?!

Indeed.

Khirad, I was watching on and off while pursuing the things I wanted to do and I saw you and AdLib patiently trying time and again to bring a meaningful discussion about. I strongly felt it was a complete waste of time. 1 or 2 comments, when someone is not willing to get on a respectful level it’s of not much use. After the Monthy Python clip really nothing more was left to say…..
So sorry for your wasted time – squandering possibilities to use our time wisely is one way we learn after all – and good luck next time around that you don’t allow your time and energy to be stolen for nothing.

😀

bito, quite true, except that I learned Khirad and AdLib to be extremely patient.
I borrowed part of your muddy shoes argumentation for I thought it is quite matching.

@ funksands, wow, super happy to hear your answer to my plea. Don’t put a strain on yourself. I would say publish Part 1 as soon as you can and simply announce Part 2 in your post. A little while later, when you have time do the necessary research publish Part 2. In any case I’m eagerly looking forward to your post…

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 1:41 am

texliberal, please let your muddy shoes (=HP mindset) outside when you visit next time. If you really want to have a discussion, that is if you come with an open mind, you’re welcome. I have nothing to add now.

Did you watch the Monthy Python clip a bit further down the thread? There is not much more to add after watching that…

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 1:25 am

KQuark, super funny and SO true 😆

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 1:20 am

I didn’t say you can’t continue running in circles. Personally I just have better things to do, and I’m sure the results are much more to my liking. Just my 2 cents.

Escribacat, thanks a lot! And great, if you want to join!

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 12:56 am

I think she’s like AH and doesn’t want to spend money for her underlings…

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 12:50 am

I gave up running in circles.

» Posted By Truth On February 19, 2011 @ 12:47 am

“failed to disclose”…. har, har – that sounds so tame as if it was not on purpose by chance….

» Posted By Truth On February 18, 2011 @ 11:16 pm

Deygirl, ok, good and thanks.

***Edit: I set up a mail too and contacted you 🙂

(The server is utterly slow anyway, some more bugs to fix. So let’s meet via email for now.)

KB!!! We’re not a HP, I guess you have a flashback… Everything is going incredibly slow today, I opened 2 tabs because it takes forever and a day to post. So I send something and go to a new tab, then I send here and in the meantime the first post may have gone through. No worries!

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin reportedly tasked her oldest daughter, Bristol, with taking to Google to mine a little data on the economy in preparation for her appearance Thursday in Long Island, New York.

Ludicrous, once more.

KB, I have the feeling that there may be a misunderstanding. The site is very slow today, that may help to bring on confusion. I didn’t follow the discussion though, so I don’t know what happened. In any case, you would be missed if you were not here. So I hope you take it a bit easy…. 8)

» Posted By Truth On February 18, 2011 @ 10:08 pm

That’s true, and where is now audadvnc’s answer to that? Hit and run poster?

» Posted By Truth On February 18, 2011 @ 7:21 pm

That’s true, Buddy. I don’t care if it can’t happen in the US. It has to. Murdoch is a big problem in this though.

Anyway, since you’re an artist, I have another request to you: could you make a comic about AH, our super middle class champion (who flies 1stt class btw) and her 6000 slaves?

Recently I said, she’s the only middle class champion with 6000 slaves…(her citizen journalists) This would be that much better with an illustration…

The hypocrisy is really unbearable. “Third world America” (book sales tour) and flying first class.

Argg!

Buddy, so true. In England it was even about the richest who didn’t pay ANY taxes! Outrageous! But you see, if the left could get organized and explain to the teabaggers how much taxes they pay while the rich don’t, it would be possible to act together. And that is what corporations, including Ms H fear the most.
Yet in England it happened.

Funksands: PS: However,I sent the email, but AdLib has not reacted to this so far. I think it’s just fine if you post a small article on that, if you would like to do so.

Number 2, the post I had originally attached:

Funksands: THAT IS IT!

I always thought, Obama had built up such good grassroots movements and didn’t do anything with them after being elected. I don’t know how this legally is, maybe he couldn’t after becoming president. However, I always thought people do have to stand together and push from the background/bottom. Any president needed the population to push into the right direction for that matter.
Since AH had build a large blogger community I tried many times to remind her of her responsibility to unite people and build some grassroots movements. Guess what, the comments were always deleted, and I think I even got a stalker mod on my neck for a couple of weeks. And as we know, the media rejoiced in promoting the Koch-teaparty- astroturf- “movement” who had copied – yes! copied! – Obama’s grassroots movement! The left was paralyzed and watched in disbelief.
Now if left and right would find common ground here, the Corporations would finally get the blow they need to receive.
However, America has one big, very big, disadvantage, and that is the absence of proper media laws. This is one of the major problems in your country, if not the severest. England on the other hand reigned Murdoch in in a jiffy, at least in this case!
The article you introduced here is excellent material and Hari even posted a 10 step manual. Both should at least end up somewhere in the action section here, also for further reference. What I’m going to do now is: I send this exchange and the links to AdLib in order to make sure this doesn’t go unnoticed.
And Funksands, I hope you put this up again on OT or better still you write a full post on this, maybe upon consultation with AdLib, who also may be very interested in the subject as I assume. Thanks for posting this!!!

Escribacat, right now I have a completely different question to you: Could we use the term “emerald curtain” in the title to the planned series about Huff (currently here as “Invite for collaboration”. . I was searching for a title and came up with “Secrets From Beyond The Emerald Curtain”

The term haunted me ever since you brought it up recently, that must be the reason why this title came to my mind. Please let me know if you agree for us to use it. Of course you’re also welcome to participate in the project, if you like to do so.

» Posted By Truth On February 18, 2011 @ 8:36 am

Funksands! Good to see you. Yes, that’s the article I was talking about. I hoped that you would make a small post (article) about it and introduce it here. In this way more people notice it and it ends up in the archives where we can dig it out easily for future reference. Right now I got sucked into another project here: “Invite for collaboration”, so I would appreciate if you could take care of this one….. Of course you’re welcome in the other project too. Stay tuned, I’m going to find my old comment that I had added when you first introduced this article.

» Posted By Truth On February 18, 2011 @ 8:31 am

Very welcome here – this site is excellent and paid for by the members, so no corporate hacks dictating what we should think and say. I hope you’re here to stay 🙂

***Edit: …and it has an Edit button – what would I do without it!

We never go back. Sometimes it looks as if the same issues come up again and again and again, but it’s like a spiral movement, there’s always a new twist in it.

If you can take a step back inwardly and just watch what happens this gives an interesting new perspective.
Moreover, don’t expect the day to be bad – the universe is always helpful to you, so it might just deliver…..

I’ve got to go now, have a good time! 🙂

» Posted By Truth On February 17, 2011 @ 7:52 pm

funksands, very true. Did you see my request to you further down? I had also left a comment to your introduction of the English Teaparty of the left article. It’s too far back now, if you want check it in my comment history. (Archive, PlanetPOV stats, username, Off Topic)

Abby – never mind. Occasional cleansing happens, and it brings you on a new level. After all, old patterns are very deep seated. So it’s a good thing, if old stuff like this comes up, although sometimes unpleasant.
