There were lots of fierce demonstrations in Europe a few months ago to block the train that transported the radio active waste to Gorleben in Germany, the place that now is used to store the shiny waste.
Unfortunately the protesters couldn’t stop the train, only delay it, and unfortunately still new nuke plants are erected. Sigh.

It is a fact that the vast majority of the content on HuffPo is aggregated /not original, though. Don’t get me wrong – when HuffPo DOES do original reporting, it’s typically outstandin g, well-sourc ed and well-writt en work. However, the majority of informatio n on this site is produced by OTHER outlets. If you took all that away, not much would be here…
On the other hand, the tp’s and other righties can say and do whatever they please, I don’t need to tell you what outrageous things they say about the President, and how they still question his right to be President etc.. Yet nothing whatsoever happens to them.
And I think it’s good that the Republicans show their true colors (even more) and that they go so much over the top that the left just has to react. And yes, a true progressive majority would be so excellent!

The video shows two activists posing as members of a Muslim group at a lunch meeting with Ron Schiller and another NPR executive, Betsy Liley. The men offered NPR a $5 million donation and engage in a wide-ranging discussion about tea party Republicans, pro-Israel bias in the media and anti-intellectualism.
“The current Republican Party is not really the Republican Party. It’s been hijacked by this group that is … not just Islamophobic but, really, xenophobic,” Ron Schiller said in the video, referring to the tea party movement. “They believe in sort of white, middle America, gun-toting — it’s scary. They’re seriously racist, racist people.”
