He leads by doing, if you ask me, and this is my personal favorite for a leader. You are aware that the rw propaganda machine is a powerful tool and they would be overjoyed if they could paint the “dangerous socialist” Obama at the core of the movement, aren’t you? And no, he doesn’t give them this opening, which I find wise. And after all he is a shrewd politician. We always doubted him, but he knew how to get elected, and he did already more for America in 2 short years than most Presidents I know of. And, he is clever enough to get reelected – which enables him to do more, not less.

Hi Truth, why, exactly, do you believe that?
This is a serious question as I am truly groping for understanding as to why his supporters are so willing to make justifications (sorry, but that’s how I see it) for him?
And please respond to me exactly as you would to Michael Moore or Dennis Kucinich if they complained about lack of spiritual (can’t think of a better word) leadership from the WH (as they are wont to do), not because I am fit to stand in their shoes ( I freely acknowledge I am not), but because they aren’t here.
I think yes. And whom would this help? Imo it would take away from the movement on the ground which has to get stronger by itself (and therefore should let go of Daddy’s hand). It would weaken the President’s position too, since he would be relentlessly attacked by the sophisticated lying- and propaganda machine of the right. In other words, the only ones to be helped would be the right, imho.
The question about spiritual leadership from the WH I found quite funny though. Maybe America should first become a buddhist country and then put your spiritual leader in place (and respect him!) before wanting any spiritual leadership. As of now I thought that mainly the left insists 24/7 that religion and politics have to be separated.
But I guess none of us expected the Republican’s opposition to this to be so fierce. After all, it is about making him a one-term-president, isn’t it? And some on the left don’t seem to see that they’re only helping the right by constantly nagging at the President.
I understand and respect that you’re right now too much under pressure to get into that, but in spite of that we others need also to find a way to deal with it.
I guess you know her better than I do, so keep digging…. but I’m going to write her too, yes.
