Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

BDM, thanks! Beautiful quotes!!!

» Posted By Truth On March 14, 2011 @ 9:21 am

Oh crap, I forgot those in the middle, true! But now it is 49,78 anti-Walker and 50.22 pro. Means we have to give it a few more click rounds….

Well, it’s not a big thing to do, and at least it spoils their play, even if they’ll try to skewer it back. But then, why breathing at all if you’re going to die one day anyway! (So don’t be so negative, PUNDIT!!!)

» Posted By Truth On March 14, 2011 @ 8:51 am

I liked it! 😆

» Posted By Truth On March 14, 2011 @ 8:33 am

No way Pundit. A few hours ago the poll was largely in favor of Walker, since they had send it only to GnOPs. Now at least it spoils their ploy to publish a skewed poll. I mean, skewed in their favor, 😆

» Posted By Truth On March 14, 2011 @ 8:32 am

Hi Pundit, how is everything?

You can vote as many times as you want if it’s not getting blocked right away. But now the anti-Walker sentiment is already the majority, ha!

I got this in an email from “foxislaur”…

This poll was started by republican businessmen and sent only to their cronies. It is meant to show that most of the people in Wisconsin support Walker and will be released to the media in a few days. Your vote can change the skew. Very easy, only one click.

Click and vote….http://www.journaltimes.com/polls/html_e7df0506-44fc-11e0-b687-001cc4c002e0.html#pd_a_4647768%23pd_a_4647768%23pd_a_4647768

Note that after you vote, you have an option to go back to the poll and vote again. I just voted 100 times. Maybe I’ll spent a few minutes and do it again… LOL

Truth says: Hooray: the latest count: Strongly disapprove: 47.16% (90,147 votes); Strongly approve: 45.73 (87419 votes)!!!!!! 😆 😆 😆

***Edit: But hey, I forgot approve/and disapprove in between those two, and then Walker has still a slight lead. So we need to give it a few more rounds…

» Posted By Truth On March 14, 2011 @ 7:39 am

PW, oops – I wrote a reply earlier, did I forget to submit it? No idea.

Anyhow, I voted around 80 times by now and bookmarked the page for further votes. Currently 45.5/47.27 – still around 5000 votes needed. Walker has about 3000 now.

Very touching, whats. I continue to keep Japan in my prayers. Stay safe!

» Posted By Truth On March 14, 2011 @ 12:29 am

Chaz! Who ignores what? Get specific! What is this bumper sticker language about? What do you expect should happen? Write an article and let us discuss your POV!

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 1:03 pm

Since we had an extended discussion below as to who exactly is responsible for the much needed change, I leave you with this:

People Have The Power – Patti Smith

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 1:00 pm

That’s odd! No idea why there are such differences.

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:58 pm

Redemption, the material world is never perfect….

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:55 pm

Chaz, actually I don’t think you express your own opinion here, sorry. It sounds to me, even with how you say that, that YOU tow very much the party line – but that of Arianna and others who want to split the Dems. We can debate anything, but then we’ll have to get into certain depths, otherwise I feel as if I’m talking to a tin can.

But as I’ve said, I’ll have to find out more about your line of thinking another time since I’m on my way out for the day.

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:52 pm

E-cat, an incredible amount of people thought they get away with ONE VOTE and he would do the rest…. yet he always stressed that he needs all of us to participate in democracy.

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:47 pm

Chaz, as I say time and again: there need to be new media laws in the US. I don’t know any democracy where lying and misinforming not only isn’t sued, but even rewarded with million dollar contracts.

Everywhere else that Rush et al drivel would be stopped pretty soon as far as I’ve observed.

(Btw “Fair”, for fair media is a good start for this.)

If Republicans overplay their hand as much as they do now, they actually do something good, for people have to take to the streets!

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:39 pm

chazmania, how sad, you swallowed AH’s memes hook, line and sinker. She will certainly be happy about that. I’m not, for I know that you’ve deserved better.

For now I can say only that much: what has the President really done, and what do you think he has done?
Check back AdLibs article about the achievements of the President, and tell me if this is nothing? I may have to answer tomorrow, for I have to go now.

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:34 pm

Redemption, as I have said I prefer deeds over words, and he didn’t disappoint me here so far.( see several discussions on this issue in this area of the thread)

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:29 pm

” I’m sure Obama would like to speak up in support of the folks in Wisconsin but they have obviously calculated that it’s not prudent at this time. I’m sure they’ve got more information than we do and have very good reasons when they speak up or don’t speak up.”

Exactly, and see what Cher has posted above. So it becomes crystal clear why the President is not offering himself up as deflection material.

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:27 pm

Thanks, Cher – you see, that’s what I mean: he is silently working in the background to get things done or in this case to limit damage as much as possible.

How Republicans would LOVE to deflect from that issue and to paint him as the dangerous union socialist, instead they have to sit down with him and don’t get their way just as they please.

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 12:25 pm

Choicelady, very much agreed with you, and THIS is exactly what I’m trying to convey:

LBJ told Rev. King that it was up to the movement to MAKE him sign the Civil Rights bills.

To wts’ defense I have to say he didn’t expect the President to go physically to Wisconsin (but I didn’t find out what he wanted him to do either).

In any case, as I’ve already stated to Questinia: PEOPLE have the power…..

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 11:42 am

Questinia, PEOPLE have the power…. (see also Choicelady’s comment a little more above the thread….)

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 11:31 am

Cher, I’ve heard somewhere (but where???) that BBC UK has also an extended US coverage because they know the dire Murdochy situation in America. Maybe it was Marion who mentioned that.

Then an idea: could you make a post with the links from yesterday’s DP in the Take Action section? There is one huge list with good media sources in the section: Polls, Graph and Research. But there is also a Reference Tab, and I wonder if both collections should better be stored under Reference (a thing best to ask AdLib, I guess)
In any case it saves a lot of energy if the list is readily available any time it’s required.

And talking about the Action Corner: Nellie was very active there, but now she’s not around anymore. Do you have any idea where she is and why she left?

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 11:18 am

Choicelady, so in part it’s just because unrest sells. But they still got more coverage for their tiny efforts than the left ever got and there is an agenda, Mr Koch sure knows what I mean. In any case, you’re right about this one:

Teabaggers are just now figuring out they were sold a bill of goods. We need to keep that moving. Not blame them, take them back into community and keep them informed, get them engaged, help them find their voice. There were signs saying, “God help me, I voted for Walker!” People CAN learn and move on – with us.

—– and it was never more important than now. The corporations FEAR nothing more than a united people.

And then Patsy posted this yesterday: http://www.fair.org/index.php?page=101

….very, very good!!!

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 11:07 am

That’s interesting Artist! Maybe he recognizes the four legs or something, it sure sounds like that!

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 10:12 am

I am looking forward to that, Cher! And…. errr… here in India it is already spring, nearly summer… does this help to accelerate the thing??? 😀

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 10:11 am

jkk, I had to watch it again I found it so funny. Really a creative cat! This video is also from Buddy’s collection, btw

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 9:44 am

Hi Cher! Did you see the new Art Corner (in Speakers’ Corner)? Now waiting for YOUR works to appear there….

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 9:36 am

Thefox, I’m looking very much forward to your report. The media at one point WILL have to cover those events. Ridiculous, isn’t it? 200 teabaggers = media coverage from A to Z. 100’000 (!!!) in Wisconsin: next to no media coverage! Is there an agenda behind that???

» Posted By Truth On March 13, 2011 @ 9:34 am

Good to know, wts, I feel the same. And I know you are in really trying circumstances right now. So let’s wrestle another time about all that….

And now I may finally be able to answer my mails as I should have…. Take care and good Night.
