Time Out for O/T – Vol. 18

CL, yes it was a amazing experience. His name was Coyi and he was a baby that I found out in one of the pastures while horseback riding. I took off my shirt and wrapped him in it and took him home. As he grew, he slept under my bed. He got along amazingly with our collie and great dane. They would play for hours. But, he had this wild streak. I really never tried to get it out of him because I thought that would be wrong. He would be gone for a couple of days but come back with a present for us. Like I said, he would leave them on the porch. Not eaten or mangled. He left them for us to eat. He was well known among the other farmers, so, he was safe and of course didn’t bother livestock. We left food in the barn for him. Eventually he stopped coming. I was out riding again much later and I saw a pair of coyotes watching me. One was Coyi and he had found a mate. They left to raise a family somewhere, as I never saw him after that. I think he was just letting me know he thanked me but the wild was calling.

Escrib, I raised a coyote cub when I was a teenager. I was never able to get the wild out of him but he was very true to our family. (Loved to bring us presents and leave them on the porch, like snakes and small rodents.) He looked just like this guy. Of course, he was well fed and had all his shots. Locally now here in Portland, we have a family of coyotes that live in the golf course. You have to keep your cats in at night! They are out at early morning hours and they aren’t as skinny as those out in the wild. A little braver, too, as you can get a good look at them. I’d say you have a picture of a coyote there.

Now some of those are really creative. What goes around, comes around. AHh, no pun intended. πŸ˜‰

Yep, AuntieC, Andrew Breitbart is still dead and Rush Limbaugh has a hole in his bag of French Fries. πŸ™‚

As I sit here with all of you and look out my window, I see up there a bright, big, full moon. Beautiful to see. Much too beautiful a place for Gingrich. It would be nice to have him that far away but why do that to the moon? It doesn’t deserve that! Nor should we colonize it and mess it up like we are here. It is doing its best to keep us in balance with gravity and our tides flowing smoothly. My ancestors believed that Mother Sun and Father Moon gave birth to life here on earth. (What would Santorum do with that?) Anyway, take a minute and look out your window and see that moon tonight, if your weather allows. And, say with me, “Gingrich, keep your fat butt off that moon!” πŸ™‚

Sue, I know your “radar” is busy with family issues right now. I hope it will get better for you and your love ones. I was just trying for a smile but understand it is probably hard right now for you. However, I will probably keep trying to get one from you. And, that is just because I care about you and a smile a day makes the night a lot better. πŸ˜‰

» Posted By SallyT On March 7, 2012 @ 7:49 pm

Susie, I knew exactly what you were saying. I was making a joke. You’re not lazy, I’m just not funny. πŸ™

» Posted By SallyT On March 7, 2012 @ 7:18 pm

Wait Sue, isn’t it Santorum that is the “man on dog” guy???? Oh, I see, you are saying “dog on man”. Well, that is a difference! πŸ™‚

Some GOOD NEWS for Oregonians! The Mortgage Servicing Accountability bill passed!

“Thanks to legislation approved in an amended version SB 1552, a combination of SB 1552 & SB 1564, our state will now implement a mandatory mediation program and put an end to the destructive dual track system. These are changes that address the most common problems homeowners encounter – trying to get a hold of an actual decision-maker at their bank, and being told they’re on the path to save their home, only to find their bank has already started the foreclosure process.

This was one of the last bills voted on before the 2012 session adjourned last night, and it was a long time coming. In recent days, banking lobbyists have been desperately trying to stop this legislation from moving forward. But those fighting for the bill refused to give up, and were bolstered in their efforts from a flood of phone calls from concerned constituents from across the state. As a result, we now have the key protections from both bills we focused on this session. This is a good bill, and one that will make a difference in the lives of countless Oregonians.”

Romney and Santorum are a couple of guys you like to have a trip to the zoo with. The zoo should make them feel right at home and hopefully they would be locked in. And then I would go to the local bar and have a drink because all the wild animals are caged.

Yah, AdLib, I think he failed on that. Didn’t Breitbart just go to the hospital like a month ago for heart problems???? I couldn’t listen to it all the way because my poor dog thought I was yelling at him and he didn’t know if he should speak, not speak, sit, lay, or head for the door.

» Posted By SallyT On March 5, 2012 @ 11:35 pm

Yes, that is fitting.

But, I found you and you look great! Very talented, my friend. I love the bagpipes! And, I love a good drummer. In fact, I married one! You won’t find anything that exciting on my Facebook. Thank you for sharing and I enjoyed it very much!

» Posted By SallyT On March 2, 2012 @ 1:09 am

AdLib, I guess that old saying, “Follow the money” has something to it. πŸ˜‰

» Posted By SallyT On March 1, 2012 @ 7:52 pm

But, CL, I know you handled it and them well! We all have our idiots to bare and some of us handle better than others. If we can get them all herded to the voting booth to vote, well, we will earned a celebration big time! I have no doubt you will win the challenge. πŸ™‚

Khirad, you know I love ya! You need me to get on Facebook and leave a comment, you just say so. I am on there and my picture is the same as the one I use here. I can count on the same 4 people commenting on anything I put up out of all those friends I have on there. I get on there maybe once a month or so. My life isn’t that exciting to share. But, I will give you a shout out if you need one on there. You always will have one from me on here! πŸ˜‰

Escrib, great point you made about the comments on HP being moderated. You can feel sorry for Breitbart’s 4 children and his wife. He may have been a wonderful father and husband but he was evil in the games he played. He was rude and disrespectful to the living and the dead. He destroyed incident people and organizations by lies and false evidence. He was no saint. You don’t have to be like he was by being total disrespectful in accordance to his passing but why lie about the man? He wouldn’t have been that way with you if he didn’t like you or what you stood for. He would have trashed you, as he did Kennedy. He wouldn’t care that you still had family that were morning the death of their loved one. The man was a mean, evil, and disrespectful human being that has left this earth. My sympathy to his family, that makes me better than him.

Yes we are hippies here, too. Most that refers to the years in the 60’s. Me, it is a physical description.

If someone has already posted this, I apologizes for the repeat but I found it interesting that Bain’s Capitol owns Limbaugh’s radio station.

Khirad, I am impressed that you even try to leave a comment on Yahoo!’s page. I can’t bring myself to try. They are so hateful on there at times. I do go through and leave thumbs ups and downs. Lots of downs. I wish you could have got yours posted but I am afraid I have to agree with you that it probably would be a lost cause with the jerks on there. When you do, tho, you let me know so I can give you a thumbs up! πŸ˜‰

FC, if those thoughts ever get to the point of explosion, pass them as gas and blame it on the dog. I’m with you on the frustrations, FC. You’re not alone there, friend. πŸ™‚

In case someone missed it, Sandra Fluke will be on the Ed Schultz show tonight.

This man tested the patients of people with different views but his hatred tested his own heart’s patients to exhaustion.

» Posted By SallyT On March 1, 2012 @ 3:24 pm

Why people give this man an audience is a surprise to me. He will go on saying this kind of trash because that keeps those people listening to his shock jock presentation. This man is disgusting and someone should pull the plug on his mic and stick it up his fat butt but something tells me he might just like it.

It is always wonderful to see the people get together and make a statement for good. Peaceful statement of protest with signatures.

Hi Kalima! I was looking at the internet and came across Homes of Oscar Nominees. I chuckled when I saw Steven Spielbergs 7000 sq ft home and thought of you and someone having to vaccum something like that. Thank goodness we don’t have too! (Of course he has people to do it for him.) I thought maybe you would get a chuckle too that we don’t have that to deal with. Also, just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. πŸ™‚

PS I am sure, as me, there are times when your house feels that big while vaccuming.

Oh gosh, Khirad, I am watching Rachel Maddow and she is showing that the Dutch are mad at us, too, because of what Santorum said about how they treat old people there! These guys are causing trouble and they aren’t even President yet and hopefully never!
And, if this was in your blog and I missed it, I AM SORRY!

» Posted By SallyT On February 24, 2012 @ 6:29 pm

Kalima, you take care and if it doesn’t all get done, there is always tomorrow! Those vaccum cleaners have been know to stick around. πŸ™‚

Well, now that you mention it, Kes, maybe but I was referring to the Cadillac. I don’t think she would get rid of the grandkids, tho. She has a lot of money invested in their names to keep from paying taxes. But, you may be right.
