Time Out for O/T – Vol. 18

Oh, I know! And, she said that they should be asking, “Are you better off now then you were 4 years ago?” And, according to her the answer would be no. Bitch! My answer would be YES! because I see things getting better and all I saw 4 years ago was storm clouds! Also, she had the nerve to says that black, yes she said black people, are worst off under the first black president than they were. Bitch! And the topper was when she said that Sarah Palin gave the correct figures and she made sense in her comments recently, OMG! BITCH! Okay, did I get enough bitches out? Sorry, but she burned my butt tonight, although, it has been burned alot lately. But, darn it, it ain’t burning off fat!!

Kalima, I only got on there because of my kids but I rarely post anything either except pictures of the dogs because the breeder is on there and she loves to see pictures. But, I have had friends get their FB invaded and emails are sent out under their name! It happened to my daughter, too. She had to report it and change something. I have found out that a lot of sites are tracking hits now. I have to do a lot of shopping online because of my health at times. After a few days, I get emails from Sears or Ebay or whomever that they have found other things I might be interested in. They get this from things I clicked to look at on their site! I could tell them no emails but they do send me coupons or sale notices that I do like to know about. Kalima, they know more about us than we probably know. Oh well, I ain’t that interesting.

Kalima, that is true, if you don’t file out your profile with that information they won’t go that way. They can pull from location. I get notices of people or events in my area several times. But, trust me, they do track. I looked up my car on a site that had a link to blue book and it showed up on my wall! I had a comment on HP once long ago appear there, too, and I hadn’t checked for it to be published. On HP, too once, a friend of mine showed up on their front page as a viewer. I asked her about it and she said she never looked at HP. But, she had read an article on another site that had been on HP. If a site you look at show that they have FB and you use FB, they will track with that. You may find out and you might not. They don’t see that as an invasion of privacy.

Cher, FB tracks thru your past school, past jobs, or anything you say you have interest. You can find friends you have lost contact with but you find some people you were hoping you’d never hear from again. Also, they can even pull from postings you do on some sites.

On my first house I bought after my divorce said “a single woman”. Yes, I was and believe me after all I had been through I was damn proud of it! Foodchain, we have come along way! These JERKS want us to go back. It wasn’t until the 50’s we could own property by ourselves. Ain’t going back!! No way no how!

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 9:09 pm

Cher, I just wanted to make sure. I am a little bit in an upheavel tonight and I wanted to make sure I am not coming across against anyone here. When it comes to women issues I can get carried away sometimes. I am an older lady now and I just want to make sure all the young ladies know how far we have come and that I know they wouldn’t want to go backwards, trust me! VOTE DEMS!

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 8:45 pm

Okay, just so all the guys know that I am not just a male basher, did any of you see Arianna Huffington on Lawrence ODonnell tonight? She was giving instructions to the Repugs on how to run against the President. She is a B I T C H! Of course you already knew that. I needed aspirins. In my ears!

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 8:25 pm

Cher, I never thought of that. You know I wasn’t giving you direction just following your comment that you can have a different meal if you ask for it even on a plane. These guys have to really reach to try to make their point but they can’t reach reality. They have also blown my mind!

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 8:15 pm

Cher, you can even get Kosher meals on an airplane if you ask for it. Or a vegetarian meal on a plane or in a hospital. Just ask.

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 7:56 pm

Khirad, well then, I still wouldn’t date him! I like to have fun! Oh, did I embarass you, Khirad? No, don’t picture it in your mind! 😳

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 6:03 pm

Khirad, they got one thing right, the left does want to eliminate the poor. We want them to have jobs, a home, and food. We don’t want people to be poor and we don’t believe everyone should be or can be rich! But, we want everyone to live a comfortable life while here. Yes, BC does help eliminate more poor people because too many would be born into a situation that could not take care of them. Khirad, these people are stupid! But, of course you knew that. 🙂

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 6:00 pm

KT and Khirad, I love Greek theology. There was spiritual beliefs centuries before there was the organizated religions of today. Most of those ancient beliefs were based on things they could not explain that were happening around them. So, they gave those things a God or Spiritual Guide. But, most if not all, had to do with nature, the sky, and the earth. You could see it but you couldn’t explain it. However, they were smart enough to know you needed to protect, nurture, and respect it. After all, Mother Earth still has control of this planet and she lets you know it on a regular basis. That is why my ancestors loved her so much!

Cher, what a JERK!! The only people pre-occupied with sex are the Repugs! As for this guy, I will take my aspirin and stick it up his peepee, which MrT has informed me would hurt like HELL! GOOD that is what I would be going for! Like it is always the girls responsibilities. Well, we accept it and WE WANT OUR BIRTH CONTROL because we don’t need anymore JERKS like him!

If someone has already posted this, I’m sorry for the repeat because it is something that shouldn’t be. I don’t know how much more it will take to prove FOXNews is a bunch of racists. This man should be FINALLY be fired!

KT, Santorum is still pissed he couldn’t get a date for the prom! The girls with or without BC wouldn’t go out with him.

It’s amazing that he doesn’t consider that married women also want BC. Most want to control the size of their family and when to begin and when to stop. Does he only think it is used for those that need it for a romp in the backseat?

This man is a sad case and a dangerous mind and harmful to our society.

Sorry, KT, I met you but had KQ on my comment origially. KQ probably already knows I can’t play the piano because I obviously can’t type! 😳

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 4:30 pm

KT, that is about the only song I can play on the piano. Oh, I can almost get In The Garden and Closer to God (the one the band was supposely playing when Titanic went down). But, I can really jam out Scarborough Fair. I only had 1 year of lessons before my piano teacher left town. Go figure………….

» Posted By SallyT On February 16, 2012 @ 4:23 pm

KQ, well, that explains some of Romney’s supposed mis-statements.

CL, I am going to open a new line so you won’t have to give directions to your comments. You said that when you go from church to church they say much the same but the hymns are sometimes different. That reminded me of something. One of my Grandmothers died when I was young. We didn’t go to church much. I had this song in my head and I was humming it and asked my mother if she knew it. She said yes. I told her I don’t know why I hum it but I do when I am just sitting or resting. She laughed and said it was Rock of Ages. Well, I didn’t know. Mom said that when I was a baby my Grandma would rock me and sing hymns to me. She knew many and apparently had a beautiful voice. She said that she remember one time my Grandma was rocking me and I was crying and crying. Everyone else was outside working in the garden. But they could hear Grandma and me inside. Mom said the louder I cried, the louder Grandma sang Rock of Ages. Sorry, CL, you just reminded me of that story.

I know, Cher, I know. My husband came home a few weeks ago with a letter that he had gotten. About 5 years ago, his doctor had sent a letter stating that he should not work over 10 hrs a day because of the stress he was dealing with at the time. Of course, he has alway worked the hours needed and never complained even after the doctor said otherwise. His normal day is usually 10 hrs and sometimes 12. After 30 years of employment, he gets a letter that says something to the effect that he get another letter or else. He wasn’t upset too much but some of the other men that had such letters (even ones that said not more than 8 hrs) were really mad. Several of these guys are in their late 50’s, early 60’s. Thank goodness for the Union! They have stayed everything. My husband was just going to get a letter stating that the restriction was no longer needed but his union rep said to hold off, primarily for the other guys involved. Now with my management background I saw this as a safety measure on the company’s part. I think that where this is going is that they are about to layoff a bunch of men and pile more hours on the ones remaining. Either they do it or they go. (this is where I have a problem with raising the retirement age. Some jobs can’t be done by older individuals forever.) It never stops, Cher, no matter how long you are with a company.

Thank you, KQ. Appreciate your kind thoughts!

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 10:21 pm

CL, I am so impressed with your knowledge on this and your sharing it with me. Thank you! One more thing about the Native Americans, the wife always got the Teepee should there be a break up! I like that thinking! And, women were considered equals. In fact, many white women that had been captured by the Native Americans didn’t want to go back if they were found by the white men after living with the natives. They also believed in contraception!

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 10:05 pm

KQ, I think Romney is like his religion in many ways. Not as he seems. I mean, Las Vegas was built with Mormon money for the most part, yet, they are against gambling. They own a big chunk of one of the cola companies, I think it is Crown Royal, but don’t hold me to that. Anyway, they aren’t as they seem.

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 9:55 pm

CL, that was very nice to read! One thing I love about Plains Native American Religion is that they worshipped the “Mother Earth” and consider her as the mother of all spirits. We need the Earth before we ever need something after. I also kinda like that Sun Dance, too! They don’t have a church but worship out in the open the wonders of this mighty Earth and strived to protect it! We can all learn from that, can’t we?
Thank you for the kind words, CL.

I don’t know about the Mormons, AdLib, but the Muslims are going to be really pissed! 😉

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 9:24 pm

AdLib, you will be welcome. It is the Earth, the mother, that the Native Americans worshiped, too. I say corn because it was a family joke. Dad was a farmer and when someone would ask what we were praying for we’d say, “The corn crop!”

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 9:16 pm

AdLib, I think that is why at the end of their baptism the Mormon says: “Gots ya!”
I’m kidding. I agree, if you couldn’t get me while I was alive, you have no say in the matter after I am gone. No matter where that is I go too.

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 9:10 pm

You bet, Kes, and you will get a fur coat! Buffalo of course!

» Posted By SallyT On February 15, 2012 @ 9:02 pm

Hey Cher, us Native Americans that worship corn have no problem with you either. You can sit around my camp fire in the afterlife anytime. We will have a really fun pow-wow! But, I’m all for us waiting on that……
