Time Out for O/T – Vol. 15

I understand. He can be bombastic. However, he speaks for the blue collar guy and gal. As he calls them, “the people who shower AFTER work”.

I think it would have happened in WI, but for the fact the police couldn’t find the 14 Dems who left the state. Had they been found, who knows what could have happened.

Why?

Did you see Rachel? She broke it down in terms of elections. In the 2010 elections, of the top 10 contributors, 3 were unions – 7 were corporations. The 3 unions backed Democrats. The 7 corporations backed Republicans. If the unions can be busted then the Republicans can “run the table”. Rachel’s take is that this is about the survival of the Democratic Party.

Thanks. I frequent BlackWaterDog. I know it is a totally “Obamabot” site, but sometimes I need it when the perpetual bashing of the President is based on lies and not constructive criticism.

http://blackwaterdog.wordpress.com/2011/02/17/again-president-obama-is-two-steps-ahead-of-the-rest-and-how-he-quietly-changed-washington/

“Again, president Obama is two steps ahead of the rest. And how he quietly changed Washington.”

“Two terrific items, proving for the 47284718473 time that there’s president Barack Obama, and then there’s basically all the rest.”

First, this NYT story, revealing that PBO sensed all the way back in August that the ME is about to explode:

WASHINGTON — President Obama ordered his advisers last August to produce a secret report on unrest in the Arab world, which concluded that without sweeping political changes, countries from Bahrain to Yemen were ripe for popular revolt, administration officials said Wednesday.

“Mr. Obama’s order, known as a Presidential Study Directive, identified likely flashpoints, most notably Egypt, and solicited proposals for how the administration could push for political change in countries with autocratic rulers who are also valuable allies of the United States, these officials said.”

Ed just showed a clip from Rove who said that the unions have lost 100’s of thousands of members since 2009. (I don’t know if that’s ture). Anyway, fewer members mean fewer dollars going to Dem politicians, especially for the presidency – which is the goal of the Repubs.

I am not a writer, but many of you are proficient writers. Please, somebody cover this story. This union busting is being tracked in many states. We need to get on top of this story and report on it now and everywhere we have a voice.

Ed also reported that the so-called budget deficit is no where near what Walker claims. In addition, the deficit occurred for the most part because Walker gave outside corporations tax breaks as payback for their contributions to his campaign. The people protesting are not stupid. They know exactly what this is about. 30,000+ people showed up today. But I guess that’s not enough to warrant coverage by the MSM. Yet 2000 can show for a teabag or Palin rally and it’s all over the networks.

If you have not seen the new WH Press Secretary at the briefing, below is a link to C-Span.

Thanks KB. It’s REALLY good to be here.

Oh, I understand.

Some people can be so close-minded. I ALWAYS want to know how people around the world view what’s going on in America and who are willing to let everybody know their opinions. And who can lead us to information that may not be readily available to us.

Welcome. I’m new, too. Hey, I wish I had called myself “Foxy Old Broad”, but I picked the name “Sabreen”. I didn’t change it when I got here because I WANTED folks to know I’m the same person. So I don’t look at your change as “deception” in any way.

If you’re a fan of Keith Olbermann, you may want to go to the Current TV website and leave a message. I hope he will write for a blog – maybe Planet – one can only hope.
