We have a serious problem. The Republican governors and legislatures who are passing these draconian laws are doing so with the blessings of the media. At least, so it seems. Unless there are grass-root organizations taking the issues directly to the people and unless people take to streets en masse, we will continue losing our rights. I think these organizations need to choose one or two issues and keep pounding away at them. Perhaps enough people will wake up and vote their best interest. I’m hoping that folks will have an acute case of buyers remorse and recall many of these people; and where recall is not an option, vote them out of office. Until then, each of us must use online blogs, Twitter, Facebook and all social media to inform the public that we are losing our democracy.
