Displaying 751 To 780 Of 1,384 Comments God, I am so tempted to become a troll, just to make people more comfy! Just kidding, but it’s strange to not see one-line asshats making snarky comments. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 8, 2011 @ 6:32 pm I know I “lost” 173 fans yesterday, that’s out of about 1,600. 10%… I have no idea how that translates to anything, but I consider it fairly significant. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 8, 2011 @ 12:40 pm More like refugees from behind the Huffington Curtain… 🙄 » Posted By PocketWatch On February 8, 2011 @ 12:38 pm Sorry. When it first came up, it wasn’t blue and clickable. I refreshed, then it was. Just a lag, I think. No worries, mate. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 8, 2011 @ 8:29 am Piece of a comment I left earlier on the Morning Blog. I’ve always said that the only thing that ever changed the world is a small band of dedicated people…. http://www.thenation.com/article/158282/how-build-progressive-tea-party?page=0,0 The link above is a GREAT article about how a group of 12 people started a revolution in England. (Don’t know how to activate links here yet… sorry) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 8, 2011 @ 8:09 am All the way to the bottom of the FAQs… » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:45 pm Yes, the cool kids table… Sans foods fights, except, as I understand it, on Friday nights… 🙄 » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:35 pm No rush, just checking things out. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:28 pm I have no doubt. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:20 pm 😉 I don’t do the YouTweet or the TwitTubes, or whatever all that is… I’m pretty old school that way. Just every once in a while I have a pic of my own that might be valuable for emphasis. I do my own photography. Just trying to see if I can get the most out of this site. Boys and toys, y’know… » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:18 pm Don’t strain yerself! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:12 pm 🙂 Not intuitive.. Also I can’t find the list of emoticons… 🙁 » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 10:09 pm Ok, I’m stumped. How do you insert pictures and stuff? 8) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 9:57 pm Hey, gorgeous! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 9:55 pm I kinda figured, and saw the comments about the server… Better you than me, dude! And I’m serious about the iPad… Works better than over at the other place. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 9:47 pm Looks like it. Gotta figure out how navigate and find out where people are hanging out, but this looks like a winner to me. I’m a big fan of rational discussion, especially with people that may not agree with me. I might learn something. Not likely, but it could happen… 8) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 9:34 pm Been gone for a few hours… This site was hard to access… I think there were a few people logging on… Can’t imagine from where… FYI.. Using an iPad right now… Works fine. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 9:21 pm Hey, Foxxy! Was on earlier and the site was sort of crashed. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 9:02 pm Hey there, adey! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 4:10 pm It DID make us all a little cre8tive, though… LOL » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:44 pm LOL And in a pig’s eye! As many know, that whole corporations are legal entities was NEVER a result of a SCOTUS decision. It was added by a clerk without the SCOTUS’s klnowledge and got signed into law. I forget the case. Before that time, all businesses had to justify their existence and show good to the community to have their licenses renewed. When a corporation can have an appondectemy or a baby, or even, oh, I don’t know… BREATHE, then we’ll see. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:42 pm Dirty, and like a mushroom as the old saying goes… Kept in the dark and fed horseshit. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:31 pm faq? LOL » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:28 pm Hey, foxxy! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:24 pm Ack! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:20 pm Ok, Abby… now I’m ascared! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:15 pm Used in Live Chat rooms. You see a list of people in the room in a window at all times, real time. If you want to ignore someone, you just rightclick on thier name and select Ignore. TYou never see a post by that person again, as long as they are there. If they leave and come back, you have to do it again, but, hey, nothing’s perfect! » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 3:08 pm PocketWatch says: I was interested to see that main articles can be authered by anyone, more or less. I have a lot to say about business. Is there a spot here for that? Not reporting, but common sense approaches to doing it the right way. I’d be interested in submitting. Reply ———- Got to be honest. I am a professional Business Consultant. And while I completely understand about no advertising on a blog like this… i.e., posting articles with an eye towards getting business, I would half expect a few people wanting to use my expertise. I charge actual $$ for that. Having said that, with all the stories and issues surrounding business and how it is screwing up our country in so many ways, there is a reality that business IS the heartblood of America. Done right, it is an invaluable asset. Understanding how a business really works, how it should work, how it makes reall profits, and how – by treating people the right way – businesses can make more than they ever thought possible might be a thing a lot of folks might be interested in. I would never solicit directly or indirectly, but I might get some inquiries. Any problem with that? » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 2:57 pm Here’s the comment I left over at the HP this morning as best I can remember it, since it never saw the light of day: I have been in electronics and th computer field since the early 70’s, before PCs even existed. At first, I was on CompuServe, and that got sold to Sears, which used it to rifle through people’s hard drives without their knowledge or consent, looking for marketing clues. Bad news, lots of lawsuits. Typical for Sears, though. I was one of AOL’s first half-million subscribers, and still have the same SN that I started with. AOL has had its ups and downs, the TIME Warner merger being a big downer. For all its faults, AOL’s live chat room technology is still the best I have ever seen, and I would love it if it could be duplicated on a site like this. The IGNORE button is just what everyone needs and never gets! LOL I have no idea how the HP/AOL merger will pan out. Maybe it will be better than we think. Maybe it is a total corporate sellout. Only time will tell. I’ll hang around HP for a while to see how it goes, but it looks to me like I’ll be searching for a better home. (PS: Looks like I came to the right place!) » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 2:46 pm Saw that, but it looks like you need to be “invited.” Fine by me. It also looks like there’s places for OT posting. Maybe that’s a place to start. » Posted By PocketWatch On February 7, 2011 @ 2:38 pmComments Posted By PocketWatch
