Kalima, thanks for the reply. Yes I have made a friend that I felt I had known all my life. and just recently. I play cribbage with him and some other older folks Thursday nights. He seems like the kind of person you would want to have as a friend. Just pleasant to be with.

I feel that way about the folks here at the Planet, too.

MBX, this ties in with solar power and other renewable energy use. The only way to reverse the effects of over a hundred years of fossil fuel use is to get off them ASAP! You are pointing to the effects of our use of fossil fuels. I agree it is only going to get worse unless we act now. Solar does zero harm, hydro and wind are excellent ways to use renewable energy, also.

Filial Love

KT, thanks for sharing your thoughts when your Mom was taken to the hospital. Finding the door in that condition must have been a shock. You write about things that remind me about things similar in my experience.
My Mom had an aneurysm and my boss came out to the job site. He said my Mom was in the hospital and to get in his car. He drove like a mad man to get me back to the garage so I could go see my Mom.

I remember the Southern Democrats from the fifties and their racist ways. Thank God we have made some progress on that front (not enough though).

Monica, Bernie Sanders is saying the same thing and he has a big audience. He is also trying to get legislation to get the money out of politics. I hope he can but have doubts that we will ever get there. “Money” is not speech but it talks to the rich.

So GREED is the problem ! How do we control greed?

Beatlex, you’re correct. The “right” has the power of the microphone, and we could take that away even without an election. We just need to get out and speak the truth and point out the lies told by the “right” which is wrong!
