It’s a double-edged sword learning English in itself which the Communist Party must be wary of. On the one hand, better business and science communication with the West. On the downside (for them), people with better communication with the West. They learn by rote. This will continue to hold China and India back to Engineers and Doctors. I know, not a bad thing, but there’s more in the large scheme of things than those esteemed professions. While we in the west say we should be more like them with emphasis on math and science, we are mistaken. That’s about their only emphasis, and that’s not right either.
