Displaying 17,071 To 17,100 Of 18,974 Comments I don’t get an url when I hover over an image, so that’s why I have to save it to my Desktop. Someone not on a Mac would find your way better I’m sure. » Posted By Kalima On April 26, 2012 @ 7:27 pm Just keep trying and I’m sure it will be a piece of cake for you soon. Glad I could help. » Posted By Kalima On April 26, 2012 @ 7:08 pm You hover your curser over the image and copy that url. If there is no url, copy the image and save it to your Desktop, then go to your Dashboard and click on Media Library in the far left hand side of your screen and upload the file from your computer. Copy that url from The Planet into the box which pops up, and then your image should show up in your comment. Does that help? » Posted By Kalima On April 26, 2012 @ 6:55 pm Maybe this might help to explain how we edit and publish posts on The Planet Murph. I hope you will find it useful for your future reference, or inquiries about your Pending posts. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On March 26, 2012 @ 7:04 pm No e’cat, our format hasn’t changed, but some YouTube links have and have to be shortened to play. Post them without the “v” and I’ll fix them after lunch. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On March 10, 2012 @ 8:59 pm You look great too Sally, and with these useless eyes of mine, I had to take out a magnifying glass to find Mansion, he looks like a real sweetheart. » Posted By Kalima On February 20, 2012 @ 6:51 pm It helps because I’m very shortsighted to begin with, but if you can see your new avatar on the Recent Comments, you are way ahead of me Sally. π » Posted By Kalima On February 20, 2012 @ 6:39 pm Well done Sally, however, between you, me and the lamppost, I’m still in the Twilight Zone between day and night, colour and monochrome. Congrats. » Posted By Kalima On February 20, 2012 @ 6:18 pm Hi funk, if he ok’s it with us, we can pass it on to you. Please ask him when he is here the next time. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On December 25, 2011 @ 2:28 pm Oh great, then it should show up here soon. The traffic must be bad on the Tubeway. π » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2011 @ 6:41 pm I don’t see your new avatar yet, do you? Did you press everything you were supposed to press over there? I always miss clicking something wherever I go. It took 20 minutes to complete my first amazon order because I couldn’t see all the “Continue” buttons. If it doesn’t show up in the next hour, I would go back there and try again. Oh, and between the two of us, we have just managed to make our “HELP DESK” into our “YELP DESK”. π » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2011 @ 6:21 pm Oh you poor thing. I don’t make jelly often, but I can just picture it. I hope there was enough left to eat? Years ago my hubby dubbed me “The Terminator”, I can’t seem to go a week without dropping and breaking something. The pasta sauce spilled when I was trying to bring a small spoon to my mouth to taste it, the spoon just flipped over. Zucchini flew into boiling pasta water, and onion dropped into the cat food dishes, and it was a real mess I was too tired to clean up yesterday. A few days ago while eating breakfast, the doorbell rang, I got up and forgot about the plate on my lap, it and the contents of sticky natto, landed on both feet and the rug. I had to go minus socks and slippers to answer the door. It took forever to get rid of the stickiness and the smell. Natto is fermented soya beans, and is an acquired taste because of its smell. I’m weird, I love it. It’s like eating brown cheese. π― No, the gasman doesn’t know me, if he did, he might not come. » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2011 @ 6:12 pm Say hello. Mine is whacking balls on a cold golf course right now, the last game of this year The gasman is due to come to check if we have any leaks, sweet really, they do it every year end. I think it’s to make sure that no one blows up before the end of the 5 day New Year’s celebrations here. Very thoughtful. π The top of the cooker was in such a state after cooking and dropping yesterday’s pasta sauce, I’ve just spent 15 minutes cleaning it to save embarrassment. Now for another cuppa. » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2011 @ 5:18 pm π Ah, but can you hear me in slow motion? What day is it anyway, and what is the tea towel doing in my fridge? I thought you did an excellent post there Cher, so I kept the link handy. My pleasure, now back to my gasman. » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2011 @ 4:56 pm Hi Cher. I haven’t been there in years, but as long as you have the same email as you use here, and I think there is an option to make the new avi your primary, it should eventually show up here. However, it sometimes takes a bit of time. I found this just now. Guess who wrote it? π “To select an image for yourself, go to http://en.gravatar.com/site/signup and register the same email address you used here when you signed up. After responding to a confirmation email from Gravatar, you can select an image from your computer or the internet to assign to your email address and that image will appear here with your user name (and on any other Gravatar-friendly sites you visit”. https://planetpov.com/2011/02/09/tips-for-newcomers-and-regulars-alike/ » Posted By Kalima On December 18, 2011 @ 4:24 pm Thanks Em. There are so many possibilities, and AdLib is going through them one by one. It like safe cracking I should imagine. π » Posted By Kalima On November 8, 2011 @ 4:20 pm Sorry about this Em, we are working on it, and hope to resolve it soon. Thanks for your patience. » Posted By Kalima On November 8, 2011 @ 3:58 pm We will get to it as soon as we can Murph. It’s my morning, and I’m rather busy right now, I thank you for your patience. » Posted By Kalima On November 6, 2011 @ 4:23 pm Try putting it in Visual, see if the “Save as Draft” button appears. » Posted By Kalima On November 6, 2011 @ 4:01 pm Murph, if you have finished editing, then Publish it as you did before and it will go back into Pending. » Posted By Kalima On November 6, 2011 @ 3:49 pm It’s back in Draft Murph, please look again. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On November 6, 2011 @ 3:18 pm To your last sentence, everyone in Admin works as a volunteer. I’m co-founder so I won’t go much higher, and medals are for people who save lives or do great things for mankind, so I think that you should award it to your President for having to deal with so much shit while he keeps his head on straight with grace and integrity every time in the face of such adversity. π » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 8:24 pm It’s visual, I mentioned it below. I haven’t had the time to check your post yet, I’ll get back to it as soon as I can. Ok,I took a quick look and could have added images for you, but you wrote that you have sent images you wanted to use to AdLib, so I won’t add any. » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 8:10 pm Actually Murph, AdLib just explained exactly what I suggested, and his was much more detailed than mine was. I’m sorry, but you must be doing something wrong. When I write a post, I put in my image before I write anything, and later add the featured image when I’m finished with everything else. As I said below, if you are having this problem and we can’t put our finger on it, we can add images for you when we edit. I just can’t figure out why only you are having this problem. » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 7:19 pm I can’t make it any plainer Murph, you are not following my instruction. I’ll try again. Go to your post page, scroll down and click on Featured image under the tags. A box will appear “CHoose Files” that takes you to your Desktop where you choose the image and then click on upload, the image will appear at the top of the box. Scroll down to the bottom, and you will see “Insert into post” which you don’t need, and in the center, it says “Use as featured image. Click and you should see the image appear on right hand side under “Featured Image”. If you have sent a screen shot to Admin, you will have to wait, those emails go directly to AdLib, and I don’t see him around. If you want us to choose one for you, we can do that and you can change it later if you want to. I’m off to have some breakfast now, will be gone for a bit, and back to see what you decide about the FI soon. » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 6:01 pm It’s there on mine and I think everyone else’s too. Are you sure that you are clicking on the “Featured Image” under the tag boxes on the right hand side, I really don’t understand why you can’t see it. Ok, please try again, go to your post, do nothing but scroll to below the the tags, and see if you can see what I can always see. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 5:48 pm The featured image is at the bottom of tags on the right hand side of your screen, it is a separate action from the image in your post. Scroll down and click on “Featured Image”, a box will appear just as with your image for the post. Upload, scroll and bottom center you will find “use as featured image”, that is all you have to do for it to appear under the “Featured Image” widget. If you use from another site, then you have to add the url in the appropriate box. Are you uploading from your computer, and is your page set on visual? » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 5:34 pm If you can’t find “Featured Image” we can choose an image for you, although I have none of the problems you seem to be having on my Mac. All you have to do is upload from your files, and then click on “Use as featured image”. The featured image, is always on the left, not center, are you talking about the image you want for the top center of your article? To insert an image into your post, click on the first icon above your post, the far left one, which says “Insert image” when you hover your curser over it. Then follow the same steps, but click on “Insert into post” and center. You can change the size of your image after it appears by clicking on it, and then clicking on the left icon which appears on the image. If you can’t, we can fix it for you. » Posted By Kalima On October 23, 2011 @ 4:53 pm We do consider suggestions, but the site works just fine for most people, and when we make any changes, we have to consider our budget first, nothing is free. We work with what we have, and no, we don’t do email drives, we post a fundraiser post a few times a year as a reminder, it does the trick. You could also do monthly donations, the amount is entirely up to you, you will also find the details on the “Donate” widget. Thanks again for inquiring, every little bit helps to keep The Planet spinning. » Posted By Kalima On October 17, 2011 @ 7:45 pm The posts in the slider are featured posts, they can stay there as long as we like until the next one is featured, there is no time limit here. We have a readership of over 70,000 people from 136 different countries who might not have read them yet, there are plenty of new posts in the “Recent Posts” widget for everyone to read should they choose to. We’ve had no complaints so far. Donations are optional, but as we are are a donation orientated site, all donations are very much appreciated. On the far right of the screen, you will find a “Donate to PlanetPOV” widget, you can find all the information you might need. If you would like to donate it would be a great help, so please click on the “Donate” button. Thanks. » Posted By Kalima On October 17, 2011 @ 6:56 pmComments Posted By Kalima
