2012 South Carolina GOP Primary Thread

I got to go with Johnathan Alter here. I think the establishment is underestimating the angry in their party. Not just with Obama but with the GOP establishment. If Gingrich plays this anger right I think he’s got an even chance to be Romney or at least something in the 40-50% range. Gingrich is the quintessential mauler and brawler so at least up to Super Tuesday he is gonna make Romney earn every vote.

Of course this is the exact trait that would make Gingrich just about unelectable in the general against Obama.

Actually the SC election map was much worse for Romney than it was for the losers in 2008.

I noticed Gingrich changed his tune a little with the Food Stamp thing. He now does not say Obama is the ‘biggest’ or ‘greatest’ FSP but the ‘most effective’ FSP. The bastard is sly as a fox.

Mrs. Greenspan said Jeb was the most popular politician in FL. You’ve go to be kidding me. They liked Christie much better as GOV and he only lost his Senate bid because baggers took over the GOP primary.

I thought about he who ethics record thing again AdLib. So Romney is going to ask tax payers to divvy up probably tens of thousands of dollars to amass all these records just so Mittens can win a primary. What a friggin’ was, especially considering most of those records are sealed. He’s trying to create a straw man out of dry sand.

I thought Hillary’s campaign was managed badly in the beginning but Romney’s campaign for all the money and so called organization they have is far far worse. But then again it’s probably because we over estimated Romney’s own competence.

I think that’s BS like I said above. If they did agree with his values than why did only 19% vote for him when they had no problem voting for a serial adulterer.

Bottom line to me the gap is the measure of their hypocrisy.

Only 19% of evangelicals voted for Romney. I don’t care if 59% said they shared his values because Mormonism was an issue for the Christianists.
