Classic story, had a bad accident, lost my job, lost my insurance, got state medical coverage, daughter got run over by a car, she got a settlement, state said I had too much money then and cut me off. Still need medical treatment before I can get a job. Going on year 3.
I tell you this, not because misery loves company, but rather, there is strength in numbers!!

One of the most over looked dynamic performers of that era.
I remember sitting there holding my breath cuz I was afraid my mom or dad would get up and shut off the TV.
Being allowed to view some things was a real family debate, we had to talk them into letting us watch the Beatles, Eric Burdon and Rolling Stones.
We worked it.
Loved the music, but the outfits? not so much.
Had all their records…classic
I was on the streets at 15 and these are the songs that made us who we were.
Vietnam vets, Hippies, Hell’s Angels, Civil Rights groups all together at love ins in Balboa Park in San Diego and this music floating through the air.
My sister had every Rolling Stone record she could get her hands on, my poor mother didn’t know what to think, must have been shocking back then.
When she started in on us, I’d just put on The Times They Are a Changin by Bob Dylan and tell her to listen up, that would really piss her off.

I’ve often thought that one of things missing in our culture is we don’t all break in to a dance that we all know like so many other countries around the world. This is sorta filling that void in these here modern times. More Dancing!!
The first one I saw, like this, was the Mary Poppins song in the train station in London and of course the inmates in the Philippines doing MJ and Queen routines.
I love it, I’m a dancing fool and play bass, music is the universal language. More Music!!
When I turned 21, Bob Marley was the first bar club show I went to..
it changed my life completely, the first clip has some history and clips from Jamaica in it, the 2nd one is the 1973 tour in London, but is the same show I saw in SF.
I remember standing there in awe thinking I’d never seen anything like this in my life. Saw him 2 more times in life and he was always awesome.

I hated the Grateful Dead but all my room mates loved them, went out one New Years Eve to see them once. I would go by myself and see things like BB King at the Filmore or Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee at some music hall..
Saw Bob Marley 3 times worked in the business and was even “married” to a Jamaican drummer named Horsemouth, who starred in a movie called Rockers.

I find this phenomenon of people thinking the President is just for their side, is a product of the Bush era. Sure it was there, but after such a disaster, you were either with him or against him, he left no middle ground.
And now, the repulikkkans have so completely closed the gate to middle ground, I’m concerned we’ll have a long road getting it back.
I want a 2 party system, I’m pissed they won’t do their jobs and negotiate.

Why do they want to be politicians and yet say they want smaller government?
If they’re so against government, what are they doing being politicians? Seems like they’d be cutting themselves out of a job sort of??? And I don’t see how they think they are doing their job, sitting on their asses saying no.
