Hairyanna does it again.

Many of the people I enjoy seeing are here. There are a few, like Dr Wang, that I’d like to get over here. He’s active in AZ politics more than I am but I think he might be a bit too serious at times, but I deeply respect him.

I found it a relief when FM was suddenly banned, and this weeked’s little jaunt with “SarahAnnDippity” was just that, absolute freedom to do one liners without trying to espouse concepts to those who didn’t want to hear. I only went there once today to retrieve the quote I did yesterday to Escribacat.

I have no idea what my father was politically, if anything. Never spoke of it. He died when I was 18. Now he was a WW II vet, union man, smoked like an SOB type, but at the same time he looked on each person as an individual. Valued them by what they were as people, not by race or religion. People were people to him. Oh, yeah, and he wasn’t big on religion, either, either for or against. But I figure that he’d be really upset with the lunacy in America if he were alive (of course, he’d be 99, also)

It looks like she’s the liberal version of Pat Buchanan for MSNBC. Uggg. Probably now has a contract for so many opinion showings a week.

I really thought Ed Schultz wouldn’t have her back, but he has. When he, Keith, and Rachel get wise to her, and can exorcise her, then we’ve got real hope.

I was awake already, but it elicited a WTF response from me. It was apparent she understood nothing on how Obama acts and reacts to things to even suggest that. All it would have done is provide tons of copy, which would have been great for her and for Fox News.

And then there was her Balloon Boy blowup on the Ed Show. That showed me immensely what a prima donna she had become. She lost airtime for her pet thing of the day and she was pissed. And I wouldn’t have even heard about the story if I hadn’t been on HP at the time. What a friggin’ hypocrite.

Zero time if you just say what you want to say. It’s when we get caught up in the games and cleverness that the delay kicks in.

Sort of like the other day, someone mentioned that a certain conservative girl from Florida was actually reading us, and I commented back with some phrase (complete) about her if she couldn’t take a joke.

There is a great liberal bumper sticker site from northern Arizona, http://www.carryabigsticker.com. I saw one today I loved “Snowmen Against Global Warming”.

I’m sure they’d be glad to manufacturer things of such nature.

I’ve wanted one that says “Stop Socialism – End Social Security Payments to Retired Republicans” but there are just a few too many of them here in Arizona, and I don’t like bullet holes in my truck.

Most of the Republicans I know and talk to are college educated ones over 40. Most of them still think sanely. A number of them even are members of a union. My wife and her family are Republicans, salt of the earth small town farming type Republicans, and most of them aren’t fanatics (well, the youngest is a retired AF Colonel, but he’s a good soul) My wife was a teacher for 16 years, a NTA member, and understands about issues such as lack of health benefits.

There still are good ones out there, they’ve just gone “to hole” as it’s said, taking cover from the wild ass blasting of the reactionary right. (I can’t call the narrow minded racists conservatives)

I don’t want to “convert” the good Republicans, but there is no way we can get them to come out right now and show themselves and be expressive, because they know the “purifiers” will seek to destroy them. That is why I feel so sorry for them.

There might be a good market out there for Tee Shirts which say “I’m not one of THOSE Republicans”. I have a lot of decent Republican friends, and I do feel sorry for them. They have lost their identity and perhaps their party.

It’s hard to tell, but considering how long it took for the President to react to Fox, he may consider her a minor annoyance and treat her as background noise. Which, essentially, she really is.

I feel bad that the stigma I now attach to HP affects how I view otherwise good people, like when KO has Lawrence O’Donnell on and he is identified with HP.

HP, if it keeps going down the road it’s on, will soon get more publicity as Fox starts using Arriana’s quips as cannon fodder on a a daily basis. Sort of like how they do Media Matters now. It’ll be another “ACORN moment” at Fox. Just what we need.

So that “going cold turkey” from HP isn’t working? Sorry, Seek, I know it’s hard. My blogging there yesterday was composed of chiding two of the regulars here for being there, and one of them had been feeding the trolls all day.

I’m using my set of first source sites more, and am much more informed and satisfied. Here is just so much more refreshing for discussions, and contrary to what the trolls at HP say, people here aren’t always agreeing with each other. Yesterday we had some good discussions where there were various different viewpoints but it all stayed nicely civil.

Forgive me for the catiness, but I wish I’d been lucky enough to have slept my way into millions of dollars and then gotten to be a queen. She has no concept of us at the middle, let alone the bottom. “Oh, look at the ‘little people’ down there below my penthouse, isn’t it too bad about them”. Get her ass out into the trenches and let her really experience what she claims to be championing.

With the new ads dripping down the sides of articles and the friggin’ floating pop-ups, how can they not notice? Even if I agreed with her, which I don’t, that kind of stuff would cause me to leave anyway.

BTW, guys, if you’d like a good site with thought provoking writing, try http://www.newdeal20.org. It’s from the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute. I’m not thrilled with their layout (too fancy of type and too small of font) but the content is excellent.

In the past I tried using syrupy sarcasm praising the Queen for her wisdom, but I was a little too thick with it and it was apparent. Didn’t get through.

Anymore, fully moderated means don’t waste your time. Wish they’d have a fully moderated sign associated with the title so I could avoid even going to read the piece. But they won’t because that would cut down on the number of clicks.
