Displaying 10,441 To 10,470 Of 10,917 Comments HH–I just have given up trying. And yes, WordPress really messed up because it used to be a breeze! » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 18, 2011 @ 2:43 pm I’ve had those problems too. But I was just struck by AdLib’s reply. I know of no other site–large or small–where the administer would be as responsive or as caring about our posts. I feel as though my posts are honored here and that our work us given the utmost respect. Thank you for that. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 17, 2011 @ 1:35 pm Sabreen– http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Smilies » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 15, 2011 @ 8:09 pm AdLib– I don’t know why it won’t stick. I add it and see it, but when I update it’s gone and gone from the dashboard too. Can you please try? Here it is: http://www.fringebloggers.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/reality2.jpg or maybe try this: http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/virtual-reality-6.jpg I do apologize for the trouble. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 15, 2011 @ 4:37 pm Whats– in your case that is absolutely essential! Not so much with this piece, but still–I like images! (Of course I do.) BTW–still begging the husband to take pics of my art work. He says this Spring. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 15, 2011 @ 3:55 pm Dear Wizards: for some reason I cannot get an image to appear on my post, even though it appears when I was composing. Can you please help? Thanks. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 15, 2011 @ 3:47 pm Thanks, bito. I shall await… π » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 10, 2011 @ 7:52 pm Hello! I just got an email that whatsthatsound published a post, but I can’t access it, and I get this message: Not Found The page you are looking is not here.. Perhaps whatsie is editing it? I always want to read any post from him, so I’m being impatient. π Anyhoo–FYI. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 10, 2011 @ 7:35 pm ADLIB- OMG, YOU ROCK. THE LIB ABIDES! » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 8, 2011 @ 6:38 pm AdLib forgive my ignorance, but is is possible to set up a dummy website directing HP posters here? People have been banned for using even the links you provided. I was just there, and so many are asking for a site they can come to, and I feel frustrated not being able, in any manner, to direct them here. How about a temporary email address? » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 8, 2011 @ 4:52 pm I have an Byzantine filing system for my bookmarks. All my bookmarks have folders and sub-folders. I have a folder called “Economics” with about 10 or so sub-folders. Sometimes the sub-folders have folders. Any article I want to “read later” pertaining to some aspect of the economy, say, mortgages, goes into a sub-folder. And aside from “economy,” I have a bazillion other topics–most with sub-folders! I REFUSE to make a “Misc.” folder, so I label it “Sites I Like” or “Interesting!” Who am I kidding? π » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 1:56 pm OMG– I’d have a meltdown, bito. You have a great attitude about finding new add-ons; I don’t like to change my stuff, BUT I am considering switching to Google Chrome from Firefox, as Firefox crashes on me about once a week. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 12:51 pm Bito– is your ‘puter back? Is it OK now? » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 11:45 am Hey, AdLib! Worked like a charm– many thanks! » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 11:44 am Thanks, Sue. That’s what I’m reading from others here too, so I’m guessing it’s me. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 10:15 am Yes, Bito– I emailed him instead, even though I was sorry to do so. I was afraid I might not be able to get back here, but so far, I can. Last time though it took 30 minutes. As I said– it might just be me. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 9:45 am Planeteers: Is anyone else having a very hard time loading the pages here? I often get this message: Internal Server Error Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@planetpov.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. And when I can get the page to load, it takes over one minute–usually two. Thanks! » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 3, 2011 @ 9:15 am Whew! No worried now–thank you. » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 2, 2011 @ 10:36 am Good morning, AdLib! I was reading the Koch thread earlier, and saw your post about the Politico article, and I replied. Now both of our comments are gone! Also, and this may be related, but I kept refreshing the page and saw no new comments for over an hour. When I refreshed it just now, there are several comments which were posted a while ago. (And as I mentioned, the older comments are gone.) Is it my computer? Any suggestions? Thanks! » Posted By Chernynkaya On February 2, 2011 @ 10:10 am AdLib, in reading some of the archived posts, I found a few that I would like to link to at HP. But I know they don’t allow that. Have you devised a new and improved way to get around that? Thanks! » Posted By Chernynkaya On December 29, 2010 @ 10:03 am IT WORKED! IT WORKED! Now, I just have to delete my fake post. π » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 28, 2010 @ 2:54 pm OMG AdLib– I really missed that whole part! Thank you. I will try it! Geez… » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 28, 2010 @ 2:43 pm AdLib, here’s what I am doing: 1. I find an image on the net; I “save as” an image in My Pictures file, or to my desktop. 2. I go to PlanetPOV dashboard and then follow your instructions (I am 99% sure). 3.I go to “Add new custom field:” 4. I select “preview” from the menu. 4. In the “value” box, I paste the “address” of my image from my computer. THIS IS WHERE I THINK I GO SOUR. The “address” from my computer is usually something like: america.thebeautifu.jpg So I don’t think it’s the right kind of address, is it? Also, when I paste that address in the “View” box, the box flashes all yellow for a second, so I think it likes it, but it never appears as a preview image on the home page. Does that help with the diagnosis, Doctor? I think the way I download the original image to my computer works, because i can always access it from My Pictures file, but I can’t just paste the title of that picture into “value box. » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 28, 2010 @ 11:25 am I’m sorry I can’t seem to master how to do Preview images. I think where I need help is the part where I have to download teh image to my computer. Can anyone help me?? THANKS! » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 20, 2010 @ 2:53 pm Hey AdLib!I am trying to insert a photo into Dildenusa’a post, but so far, have only succeeded in putting one in the post–not the Home Page preview. I’ll keep trying! π EDIT– Still not working! Uh Oh! » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 19, 2010 @ 7:11 am It’s OK nellie, but thank you anyway! » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 1, 2010 @ 9:59 am Oh, OK, AdLib–Thanks! I’ll just let it be. » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 1, 2010 @ 9:56 am Nellie, I couldn’t get the video in the post “History of the World…” to play. It was from the History Channel, and it said “share” and I tried to go through Google Video, but always got an error message. Because I did that, the coding was gone, and the original video’s code was of the whole library of video–not specific to the one I wanted. Any suggestions? (Although, it’s probably moot–I don’t think anyone will go back after reading the post.) » Posted By Chernynkaya On April 1, 2010 @ 9:19 am Please, AdLib or Nellie– can you help me embed two videos into my new post? Google video keeps giving me the finger (in the form of an error message)! Thank you! » Posted By Chernynkaya On March 30, 2010 @ 3:11 pm That makes it more fun, Kes! » Posted By Chernynkaya On March 26, 2010 @ 6:00 pmComments Posted By Chernynkaya
