Gee, is there now a new newer version of WordPress up? There are no longer any video icons for embedding in the menu (kitchen sink) bar, and that’s fine for YouTube (usually) but how will I embed a Vimeo or other? Is this a good thing? Thanks!

Morning, fellow sinners! I didn’t see Vox Pop on my screen last night and thought it had been cancelled, but today I see it referenced. But it is still nowhere to be found on my view of the Planet. Any suggestions?

Good morning. I can’t hyperlink about 80% of the links for the Daily Planet. I will just put them in the post by the articles and go to bed. Frustrating. If anyone can fix them, it would be greatly appreciated.

Truth, that’s not the case. The person who posted can always edit their own posts–I do it every day, and I’m not an admin. (If I were, I could edit your post but alas…)

I just think it takes time to learn how to use the WordPress system, and I struggle with some things about it even though I’ve posted dozens of articles.

Truth, were you the one who posted the article? If so, then you can edit it by going to the dashboard. If you put it up, you can edit it at any time, and I’ll try to walk you through that. If Buddy did, then I’m afraid only Buddy can edit it, that’s true.

Truth– the blue links: You need to look at the tool bar at the top of the editing window (the same place where you put your post) and highlight those blue words and then click the broken chain button. (You can edit your post by clicking the dashboard area on the gray bar at the top of this page. I wish I could help!)

Hello! Can someone please help me embed a couple of videos for tomorrow’s DP? One is from KABC news of protest in LA today and has an embed code; the other is the Lewis Black/Daily Show video, and I have seen it on non-Comedy Central sites and it also had embed code. Thanks!

America– you need only hit “preview post” as far as I know. I am really not aware of the Submit for Review option, but maybe the very first article needs review. I do know this: as long as it is still a draft, it can be reviewed by an admin. Maybe only hit Preview Post for yourself and don’t hit Publish until an Admin reviews.

Hey, AdLib, I guess I have to wait until a new post appears to test it. I still have no alerts since DP Vol20. Also, I noticed that there are a few recent DP’s missing from the Categories drop-down. I am 99.99% certain I checked “The Daily Planet” as my category, under PlanetPOV (which I also checked). Could my checking “PlanetPOV” in addition to checking “The Daily Planet” have confused Mr. Category?

Oh. Well, every post gets an email alert–doesn’t matter what type of post. Anything but a comment, that is. My understanding is we get those for anything that goes on that sidebar thingy whenever anyone publishes. I usually get email alerts for everything and this has been going on for a few months. That’s why I thought it was weird that they just stopped coming.

That’s odd: I published Daily Planet vol.23 15 minutes ago, and it is not appearing. When I went to Dashborad, it says it has been published. Also, I got no email notification so it is officially AWOL. Can you please try to find it? Thanks!
